Post Basic B.Sc Nursing is a 2-year undergraduate program, which is for the candidates interested in the field of nursing. Nurses are health care professionals who are trained in caring for patients, treating them, and assisting doctors in treatment and surgery. A qualified RN (Registered Nurse) can provide preventive, incentive, curative and rehabilitation services to patients and communities at large.

About Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

Eligibility for Post Basic Nursing

  • Candidates wishing to apply for the course are required to obtain a qualification of GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course after obtaining 10 + 2 or equivalent qualification, preferably with science subjects.
  • Candidates are required to be Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife or equivalent to any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Also, the applicant must have a good working knowledge of English, be medically fit, and have a good personal and professional record.
  • Admission to the course is often based on the candidate’s qualification at the 10 + 2 level and in the GNM course.
