Singapore is new education hub

Singapore is a beautiful country not only in terms of business, but in the case of education also, it is considered to be one of the best countries in the world. Singapore’s quality education system, along with the developed economy, attracts students from India, China, Burma and other Asian countries. This is the reason that the number of Indian students coming here is continuously increasing. The good thing is that the environment of Singapore is also quite a familiar for Indian students because the number of Indian students in various educational institutions here is very high.

As Singapore is the Country with very less natural resources, Human Resource is considered to be the main capital. In this case education is seen as a key for knowledge-based economy. Because of the availability of good talents here, almost all multinational companies have maintained their centres at Singapore. According to one estimate, 87 thousand international students are studying in Singapore, in which the number of Indian students is growing by 20 percent each year.

As the number of migrant students in Singapore continues to grow, Singapore Government is making all necessary efforts to make the education system ‘global’ for this purpose. In this regard, the establishment of accredited education centres of almost all universities of the world is being encouraged. Here some of Europe’s top business schools are there; on the other hand there are branches of the world-famous university of the US such as the University of Chicago, MIT and Stanford. Therefore, if it can be said that the students enrolled here may get the most different and pleasant opportunity of education, then there will be no wrong.

Experts, industry and bourgeoisie are sitting to develop the business idea of youth in the Enterprise Centre of the National University of Singapore. Young people approach the business on the lower floor with their business ideas. If the idea is approved there, there are representatives of the industry on the upper floors. Even if they get ideas, then the representatives of the bourgeoisie are sitting on the next floor. If there is a positive talk then you are given full help with the Business Idea in the market.

There is a similar concept in Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education. This government institution open for vocational courses is not enough to surprise itself. A large part of this institute has been given to retail outlets, where common public purchases commodities. In these shops, the students of the institute work as trainees. Students take training in real shops of salon, bakery, optical etc. Their practical training connects them directly to the industry.

What is special in Singapore?

Safety:  It’s well known that Singapore has one of the lowest crime rates in the world. Image of Singapore is therefore far better than Australia and America as far as safety of Indian students is concerned. Due to the low rate of crime, Night Life makes life easier.

Language: Singapore’s British rule had a good English-speaking population and that has a great impact on society even now. There is also Little India, where the presence of people of Indian origin, Indian food and culture is available. Hindi and Tamil is also used along with Mandarin, English. (Internal link for Hindi in Singapore).

Spending: The cost of studies is less, compared to western countries. Here the government is spending a lot of money on improving the structure of education. Apart from this, both living and education costs are manageable for Indian students. The cost of engineering degree from a prestigious engineering college in Singapore is approximately 14,000 to 20,000 Singapore dollars (from Rs 6,00,000 to Rs 10,00,000) per year. In addition, there is also a provision of scholarships, which can reduce the cost of studies.

Distance: The short distance is attracting Indian students to Singapore. Singapore’s flight is only about five and a half hours. Direct daily flight from New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai is available.

Employment: Due to the developed economy, there is no shortage of employment. The ease of getting work permits is also an attraction here.
