What NTA announced in September 2020
NTA's Paper 1 result notice dated 11 September 2020 reported 24 candidates with a 100 NTA Score. That is a percentile-score statement, not a claim that each candidate obtained every available mark.
The same notice gives these rounded figures for B.E./B.Tech Paper 1. The September sitting is labelled April/September in the source because of the postponed examination cycle.
Session counts and unique-candidate counts describe different populations. These rounded historical totals should not be treated as exact inputs for another year's rank prediction.
What the updated JoSAA 2020 schedule recorded
The updated JoSAA 2020 schedule retained by NIT Sikkim lists two mock allocations and six numbered seat-allocation rounds. It labels Round 6 as the final round for IITs and describes subsequent NIT+ admission steps separately.
This is a retrospective correction using the later updated schedule. It is not presented as information already available on this article's original September publication date. The previous reference to seven regular rounds has been corrected.

The earlier turnout percentage and JEE Advanced shortlist shortcut are not retained as verified instructions. This note does not reconstruct every 2020 eligibility condition, certify an applicant's qualification or supply a current registration route.
