As per the NEET 2026 exam pattern, 180 multiple-choice questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The weightage remains the same as previous years: 45 questions each in the Physics and Chemistry sections, and 90 questions in the Biology section. The total marks for NEET 2026 is 720.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, "The syllabus of JEE and NEET will remain the same as last year." However, because many state boards and CBSE have reduced their board exam syllabi, NEET UG 2026 question papers may also include options similar to JEE Main.
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the only examination conducted for medical and allied programs in the country. The medical entrance exam is conducted at designated centers across the country in pen-and-paper mode. An announcement is awaited regarding the date of the NEET 2026 application form and exam date.
