Last updated: April 20, 2026

Board results are out. After 12th, students face crucial career decisions. Science students have clear paths like Engineering or Medicine. For Arts students, the question looms larger: what to do after 12th Arts?
A common perception is that Arts is for low-scorers or weak students. People think opportunities are scarce and success unlikely. The truth is far different. This field offers countless possibilities. Here's where you can go after passing 12th with Arts.
Hospitality: Enter the hospitality sector through hotel management courses. Take the NCHMCT entrance exam.
Banking & Finance: Doors are open in banking, finance, and insurance. Many diploma courses are available.
Communication & Media: Arts students often have strong communication skills. Content writing, scriptwriting, and mass communication are excellent options. Pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication after 12th. The advertising field also welcomes you.
Languages: Consider degree or diploma courses in foreign languages like French, Russian, or English.
Design: If you're creative, graphic designing is a great path. Courses in fashion, jewelry, or textile design open many doors.
Social Work: A degree in social science can lead to work with NGOs, WHO, or government social programs.
Event Management: This is a solid option after plus two.
Acting: Want to be an actor? You can do an acting course directly after 12th or graduate first, then join an acting school.
Tourism: Interested in history and travel? Start as a tourist guide with a course in tourist management.
Psychology: If you studied Psychology in 12th and have an interest, apply for a Psychologist course. After post-graduation, you can start your own practice.
Teaching: Go into academics. After a BA or BA Honors from a top university, you can do B.Ed. There's also a 4-year integrated BA B.Ed program to become a teacher.
