IBS Bengaluru scholarship information appears in two different official sources and applies to different programmes and cycles. IBS’s FAQ describes a network-wide 2026 MBA scholarship scheme based on IBSAT or specified national test scores. IFHE Bengaluru’s BBA page describes merit awards for the BBA cohort based on academic performance. Neither source should be turned into a guaranteed discount for every Bengaluru applicant: the FAQ does not allocate a fixed number of MBA awards to this campus, and the BBA page caps semester-performance awards at a share of the batch. MBA scholarships: the official 2026 scheme
The IBS FAQ says 500 scholarships are available for the 2026 academic year: 400 reserved for IBSAT top scorers and 100 for high scorers in CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC and GMAT. For the IBSAT group, it says 100 awards are associated with each of four pairs of December test dates. The published split is useful for understanding the scheme’s broad structure, but it is not a campus-wise allocation table. The source does not say how many of the 500 awards are reserved for Bengaluru or how many applicants at this location will receive one. IBS scholarships FAQ
For the national-test route, the FAQ lists CAT at 80 percentile or higher, XAT at 80 percentile or higher, GMAT at 550 or above, and NMAT by GMAC at 225 or higher. It says IBSAT scholarships go to top rankers across the scheduled dates, rather than supplying a single IBSAT score threshold. These are scholarship criteria in the 2026 FAQ; they are not admission cutoffs and should not be treated as admission guarantees. Applicants should also check whether their test-year score qualifies for the intake and whether the same criteria remain in force when they apply. IBS scholarships FAQ
The FAQ discusses the 2026 scholarship scheme alongside the IBSAT 2026 test schedule and the 2027-29 MBA application. That does not establish the amount of any individual award, the reduction in tuition for each award, the selection ranking tie-breakers or whether all campus applicants compete in one pool. Those financial details are not specified in the captured scholarship answers. Before reducing a fee estimate, ask the admissions office for the Bengaluru-specific award value, number of awards, selection rules, payment timing and conditions for retaining the scholarship. Use the written award notice, not a general eligibility statement, as the basis for a budget. IBS scholarships FAQ · IBS admissions
BBA merit awards at IFHE Bengaluru
The IFHE Bengaluru BBA page describes scholarships based on past academic record and semester-wise performance. It says up to 10% of the batch may receive semester-performance merit awards. The published table associates a CGPA of 9.00 or above with ₹19,500, 8.50 to below 9.00 with ₹14,300, and 8.00 to below 8.50 with ₹9,750. These amounts are shown under “Scholarship Amount,” but the text does not clearly state whether they are paid per semester, once per academic year or under another schedule. The page also says the award is subject to other eligibility conditions. Confirm the amount, payment frequency, number of eligible students and continuing-CGPA rules with IFHE before including it as a reduction in your total BBA cost. IFHE Bengaluru BBA
The BBA page separately says the programme offers three- and four-year routes, including honours options. Its scholarship material refers to semester-wise performance in the BBA programme, but it does not explain in the captured section how a three-year exit, a fourth-year continuation or a route change affects eligibility and award duration. Ask which semester results count, whether the scholarship is reassessed every term and how a change in the chosen completion route affects any award already granted. Do not infer that the listed amount is multiplied across all semesters. IFHE Bengaluru BBA
Comparing eligibility and the amount you can actually use
Scholarship eligibility and admission eligibility are separate questions. The MBA FAQ sets scholarship score criteria, while the admission page separately lists test routes and selection stages. A score that meets a scholarship threshold does not by itself guarantee an admission offer or a scholarship award. Similarly, the BBA merit table describes performance awards after enrolment; it is not a fee waiver automatically attached to an admission offer. Applicants should check both the course admission requirements and the current award rules for their exact programme. IBS scholarships FAQ · IBS admissions · IFHE Bengaluru BBA
When comparing the MBA and BBA offers, keep the awards separate from published tuition until the institution confirms the amount and payment schedule in writing. Ask whether an award is deducted from installments, reimbursed after results, limited to a particular fee component or subject to maintaining academic performance. Confirm whether it can be combined with any other aid and what happens if a student withdraws or changes campus. The public sources reviewed here do not establish those details for the Bengaluru MBA scheme, and the BBA page’s summary does not state a full disbursement schedule.
Applicants may also ask about education loans, but loan facilitation is not scholarship funding. IBS says its Financial Aid Cell facilitates the bank-loan process; the bank remains responsible for its own approval and terms. A loan does not reduce the programme fee. Build a conservative budget using the applicable batch fee, living costs and refundable deposit, and count scholarship money only after receiving a written Bengaluru-specific award with its conditions.
