Priyadarshini College of Computer Sciences (PCCS) in Noida is a private engineering college that's been around since 1990, operating under the umbrella of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). It's one of those older, established institutions in the Delhi-NCR belt that doesn't make a lot of noise nationally but has a steady local presence. With a focus on computer science and allied fields, it offers the standard AKTU curriculum across a decent spread of B.Tech specializations. The story here isn't about groundbreaking packages or elite recruiters—it's about a functional, affordable option for students who clear the state entrance exam and are looking for a pragmatic, no-frills engineering education in the region. The placement data, what little is available from student reviews, suggests outcomes are modest, which aligns with the college's positioning and fee structure. It's a straightforward choice in a crowded market.

Courses and Academic Programs at Priyadarshini College of Computer Sciences

PCCS runs a portfolio that's heavy on computer science and technology, which makes sense given its name. The undergraduate engineering programs are the main draw. They offer a B.Tech across six branches with a total of 540 seats. Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology get the biggest chunks at 120 seats each. Electronics and Communication also has 120. The other three—Electronics and Instrumentation, Civil, and Mechanical—have 60 seats apiece. That's a pretty standard AKTU distribution.

Beyond engineering, they've got BCA, a 2-year B.Sc in Math and Computer Science, and even a 3-year LL.B. Hons. On the postgraduate side, there's M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, and MCA. The intakes for these aren't specified, which often means they're smaller, fill-up-as-needed programs.

Academically, it's the prescribed AKTU curriculum. The college's own literature mentions an "industry-oriented" approach and fostering creativity. In practice, that likely translates to the standard lab sessions, minor projects, and a final year major project that all AKTU colleges follow. The faculty list includes names like Mrs. Apurva Vashishth (HOD, CSE) and Mrs. Purvi Nath (HOD, IT). The college describes its faculty as dedicated and from good institutions. For a student, it means you'll get taught the syllabus. Whether it goes beyond that probably depends more on individual professors and your own initiative.

Priyadarshini College of Computer Sciences Placements: Packages, Companies & Reality Check

This is where you need to read between the lines. The college's official website and brochure material weren't available with concrete, recent placement statistics like highest or average package. That's often a sign. The data we have comes from older student reviews (circa 2020) and general listings.

Those reviews mention an average package range of 2.5 to 5 Lakhs Per Annum (LPA) for freshers. One review explicitly stated "campus placement is very low." Another student mentioned an internship that paid 5K per month, going up to 7K after graduation. These are not typographical errors. They paint a picture of very modest starting outcomes.

The list of recruiters includes names like TCS, HCL, Accenture, Amazon, and HP. But it's critical to understand that such lists are often cumulative over many years and may not reflect active, high-volume recruitment in the current placement cycle. Companies like Moserbaer or Jubilant Organosys also appear, hinting at opportunities in core engineering and manufacturing sectors for non-CS branches.

The takeaway? Don't come to PCCS expecting a placement-driven culture with lakhs of companies visiting. The placement support seems basic. You'll likely need to be proactive in hunting for off-campus opportunities, which is a common reality for many mid-tier AKTU colleges. The packages, if you secure one on-campus, will likely be in the lower spectrum for the NCR region. That's the trade-off for the lower fees.

Fees and Financial Aid at Priyadarshini College of Computer Sciences

This is arguably PCCS's most straightforward advantage. For the B.Tech program, the annual tuition fee is around ₹75,000, as per the latest available data pointing to 2026. The total course fee for the 4-year program is listed variably as ₹3,00,000, ₹2,45,000, and ₹2,53,000 across different sources—all clustering in that ₹2.5-3 lakh range for the entire degree.

That's notably affordable for a private engineering college in Noida. It undercuts a significant number of its peers. When you factor in hostel and living costs, the total expense for four years might still be less than a single year's tuition at some of the more premium private institutes in the area.

Information on specific scholarships or financial aid schemes run directly by the college isn't detailed in the brief. However, being an AKTU-affiliated institution, students would be eligible for state government scholarships (like the UP Post-Matric Scholarship) and national schemes based on merit and economic criteria. The low base tuition does lessen the financial burden to begin with.

Admissions: Eligibility, Cutoffs & Selection Process

For the B.Tech programs, admission is entirely through the state entrance system. You need to appear for the Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Exam (UPSEE), which is now integrated into the National Testing Agency's (NTA) CUET (UG) for engineering. Your rank in this exam is everything.

Eligibility is standard: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject, with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).

Seats are filled through the centralized counseling conducted by AKTU. There are no management quotas or direct admissions mentioned for the B.Tech program, which keeps the process transparent. The cutoff ranks for PCCS are not among the highest for AKTU colleges. It typically falls in the mid to lower ranges, making it an accessible option for students with moderate UPSEE/CUET ranks. The exact closing rank fluctuates yearly based on applicant pool and seat matrix, but it's safe to say you don't need a top 10,000 rank to get a seat here, especially in branches like Civil or Mechanical.

For programs like BCA, LL.B, MBA, and MCA, admissions are likely based on merit in the qualifying examination and/or relevant entrance exams (like CUET-PG for MBA/MCA), followed by college-level counseling. Details should be confirmed directly with the college.

Campus, Hostels and Student Life

The campus is spread over 3 acres in Knowledge Park-1, Noida. It's a compact, urban campus. You're not getting sprawling lawns or massive sports complexes. The infrastructure will cover the essentials: classrooms, labs for each department, a library, and likely a central computing facility.

Hostel availability isn't explicitly detailed, but most colleges of this type in Noida offer separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, given the number of out-of-station students. The quality and cost would be average. The location in Knowledge Park-1 means you're in an institutional zone with other colleges around, which is generally safe and academic-focused. The social life will be largely campus-centric. There's no mention of standout sports facilities or cultural fests that have a major brand, so extracurricular engagement will be what the student clubs and department associations organize.

It's a functional setup. You get what you need to complete your degree, but don't expect resort-style amenities. For many students, that's a fair compromise for the lower fees and the location in NCR, which itself offers immense external exposure.

Student Reviews: What Priyadarshini College of Computer Sciences Alumni Really Think

Synthesizing the tone from available feedback, the consensus is pragmatic. No one is raving about it as a life-changing institution, but few are calling it a complete disaster either. It's seen as an okay option given its constraints.

The positives often cited are the affordable fee structure and the fact that it's an old, established institute with AICTE approval and AKTU affiliation—which means your degree is valid and recognized. Some reviews mention decent faculty in certain departments, particularly the core CSE and IT departments.

The criticisms are consistent and focus on placements. Words like "low" and "very low" are used. The average packages mentioned (2.5-5 LPA) are considered low for the NCR region, even if they match the fee investment. There's a sense that the placement cell is not very active or effective, pushing the responsibility onto the student. Infrastructure is described as adequate but not modern or inspiring.

It's the kind of college where your experience will be largely defined by your own effort. If you're self-motivated, use the NCR location for internships and networking, and don't rely on the college for a top job, you can make it work. If you're expecting a high-support environment that handholds you to great placements, you'll likely be disappointed.

Verdict: Is Priyadarshini College of Computer Sciences Worth It?

PCCS is a very specific value proposition. It's worth serious consideration if you have a moderate UPSEE/CUET rank, have a tight budget, and are primarily looking for an affordable, recognized AKTU degree to enter the tech job market. Your goal should be to leverage the low academic cost and the NCR location to secure off-campus internships and jobs. The college provides the essential platform—the degree, basic labs, and a location in a job-rich zone. The rest is up to you.

Who should probably look elsewhere? Students with high entrance ranks who can secure seats in more placement-active AKTU colleges (even if they cost a bit more). Anyone for whom a vibrant campus life, top-notch infrastructure, or a strong, proactive placement drive is a non-negotiable priority. Also, if you are aiming for core mechanical or civil engineering roles, research the placement records for those specific branches carefully, as opportunities in those fields from mid-tier colleges can be particularly scarce.

In essence, PCCS is a budget-conscious, no-surprises choice in the vast AKTU ecosystem. It does what it says on the tin, not much more. For a certain student profile, that's enough.
