CSAB Special 2026 cutoffs: use CRL, not category rank
CSAB Special cutoffs record opening and closing ranks for fresh and upgraded allottees in a specific institute, programme, quota, seat type and gender pool. The official table uses All India CRL for every seat type, including OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST and PwD. JoSAA's category-rank comparison does not carry over.
This separate Paper 1 reference contains 11,499 profiles across 111 institutes and 183 programme labels: 7,026 in Special Round 1 and 4,473 in Special Round 2. DASA and Paper 2A/2B records are excluded. The JoSAA search controls above do not filter these examples.

One row, one lane
A college has many cutoffs. Programme, quota, seat type and gender pool must all match before two ranks are comparable.
State code matters
HS and OS depend on JoSAA's Class XII state code of eligibility and special institute pools, not simply residential domicile.
Closing rank is evidence
A completed-round cutoff is a factual reference point, not an admission guarantee or an instruction for choice filling.

Which JEE Main rank should I compare with a JoSAA cutoff?
Use the rank list named by the row. OPEN rows use CRL; GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST rows use the matching category rank; PwD rows use the matching PwD rank list. A reserved candidate can check more than one eligible lane, but must not use one rank for every lane.
Are these predicted or official cutoff ranks?
The main table contains official JoSAA 2026 Round 5 opening and closing ranks. Select Round history for the same seat profile's published closing ranks across Rounds 1 to 5. Admission Guardian preserves the published institute, programme, quota, seat type, gender-pool and rank dimensions; missing observations are not filled from another round.
Does this page include CSAB, B.Arch or B.Planning cutoffs?
The searchable table covers JoSAA 2026 Round 5 NIT+ programmes using JEE Main Paper 1 ranks, including engineering, integrated science and design programmes, with selected-profile histories for Rounds 1 to 5. A separate CSAB section provides fixed Special-round CRL examples and a Paper 1 download; the JoSAA filters do not apply to it. DASA and Paper 2A/2B programmes are excluded from the CSAB reference. The college predictor still uses JoSAA, not CSAB.
What does a closing rank mean?
The closing rank is the last allotted rank recorded for that exact institute-programme, quota, seat type and gender pool in the selected JoSAA round. It is not one universal cutoff for the whole college.
Does a JoSAA closing rank always increase in later rounds?
No. Exact profiles can have larger, unchanged or smaller closing-rank numbers in later rounds. Compare the same programme, quota, seat type, gender pool and rank list; do not add an overall study's median movement to one college option or treat past movement as a recommendation to wait.
Does matching a 2026 cutoff guarantee admission?
No. The table reports a completed allocation round. Eligibility, current seat availability, choice order, document verification and official JoSAA decisions still control the outcome.
