Guidelines for JEE Advanced Exam released
Last updated: April 20, 2026

The JEE Advanced exam will be held on September 27 for admission to the IITs. A total of 160,864 students have registered from across the country.
To prevent COVID-19 infection, students must maintain a distance of six feet, similar to protocols for JEE Mains and NEET. You are permitted to bring a sanitizer and a transparent water bottle to the examination centre. Wear shoes instead of slippers or sandals. Avoid wearing rings, bracelets, earrings, nose pins, amulets, and other jewellery.
Students will be given a scrabble tree at the exam. You must write your application number and name on it. After the exam, you can take the tree with you.
Wearing a mask is mandatory at the centre. You will be provided with a replacement mask upon arrival. An SMS will be sent in advance, informing you of the specific time to reach the examination centre.
