The historical examination context

The government's 3 July 2020 examination-date announcement scheduled JEE Advanced for 27 September 2020. This establishes the year of the original report. It does not establish today's reporting time, permitted items or examination-centre arrangements.

The original report described pandemic-era precautions and candidate instructions. Its registration total and item-by-item directions have not been retained as a verified reconstruction of the official 2020 instructions.

Do not reuse the old item checklist

The earlier directions about footwear, sanitiser, distancing, masks, jewellery and arrival messages are withdrawn as active instructions. The unclear description of supplied writing material has also been removed. Do not decide what to wear, carry or return at an examination centre from this archived news report.

For your attempt, read the admit card and the applicable official candidate instructions together. Check the reporting and gate-closing times, identification requirements, permitted and prohibited items, and instructions for any approved assistance. Follow the authority's current documents rather than assuming an old report still applies.
