JEE Main 2021 has been announced by the NTA. While the official website states JEE Mains will be conducted only four times, the schedule has been shared in media reports. Registrations had not started until late Tuesday, though the brochure indicates they will begin on December 15. The online application window will open on the jeemain.nta.nic.in website. The last date for the online application for JEE Main 2021 is January 15.
According to the information released, JEE Main 2021 will be held four times. The first session is scheduled from February 22 to February 25, 2021. The second will be conducted in March, the third in April, and the fourth in May. The NTA says this gives students multiple chances to improve their scores. The first attempt also serves as an exam experience. This decision helps droppers, who won't have to waste an entire year waiting to retake the exam. Similarly, if someone misses one or two attempts, they won't have to wait a whole year. It's also reported this schedule helps avoid conflicts with various state board examinations held at different times. Until now, the engineering entrance exam was held twice a year.
Here is the schedule: Admit cards for the first session will be uploaded in the first week of January. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift runs from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second from 3 pm to 6 pm. Performing well in JEE Main qualifies you for the JEE Advanced exam, which grants entry into the country's prestigious 23 IITs.

The number of questions will remain the same as previous years. There will be 25 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, the NTA has decided to offer a choice in the section to standardize the syllabus across various boards. JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bangla, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Oriya, Tamil, Urdu, Telugu, and Punjabi. Previously, the exam was conducted only in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
