CLAT {{current-year}}: The application form will release in January, know the exam pattern

The CLAT 2026 application process will begin in January. Registration for the Common Law Admission Test closes on March 31. The exam itself is scheduled for May 9, 2026.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 application form will be available starting January 1 on the official website - www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The exam will be held in the evening shift, from 3 pm to 5 pm. CLAT is the gateway for admission to five-year integrated LLB and LLM courses.
Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2026
Candidates must have passed their 12th class to qualify. They need at least 45 percent marks in that exam.
Exam Pattern of CLAT 2026
The test will include comprehension passages related to legal studies. Each passage will have 5 to 8 multiple-choice questions. The LLB exam will feature 150 questions, while the LLM exam will have 100. Additionally, two essay-type questions will be asked.
Result Date of CLAT 2026
Results are expected to be declared in the last week of May. Admission to various courses across 22 National Law Universities is conducted through this exam.
