Separate CPC scholarships from a government education loan
CIMAGE uses several institutional identities, so confirm that any award applies to CIMAGE Professional College (CPC), Vivekanand Marg/Boring Road, affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU). The group website describes two merit-based schemes, Vijayam and Eklavya, but its wording is at group level and does not publish a current CPC-specific award table. The Bihar Student Credit Card (BSCC) is a government education loan, not a scholarship or fee waiver. These routes should not be combined into one “financial aid” amount.
CPC's fee page gives its own 2026-29 schedule and separately lists admission, internal examination and university charges. A scholarship, if approved for a student, may have eligibility and renewal terms that affect only some of those components. A loan can finance eligible education costs but must be repaid under the government's current rules. Ask CPC and the government portal for written confirmation before reducing the published fee in your budget.
Vijayam: described as an entrance-cum-scholarship route
CIMAGE's official group scholarship page says the Vijayam Scholarship is merit-based and connected to an “Entrance cum Scholarship Examination”; it says students are selected at the time of that examination. The published material does not state the current examination date, syllabus, qualifying score, award amount, number of recipients, eligible CPC programmes, renewal conditions or whether the award is a tuition waiver or another benefit. It also does not explain whether the same assessment is mandatory for admission or only considered for scholarship selection.
Treat the page as evidence that CIMAGE describes a merit test, not as a complete 2027-28 offer. Before registering, ask CPC to confirm the exact test and session, the programmes and campus covered, how merit is calculated, whether an award can be combined with other aid, and when a candidate receives the written award decision. Do not assume that taking the admission test automatically grants a scholarship, or that an award shown for one CIMAGE unit applies to CPC.
Eklavya: an in-course merit description, not a published guarantee
The same CIMAGE group page describes Eklavya as a separate merit scholarship for students whose performance and progress during study are strong. The page does not define the grades, semester threshold, selection panel, award amount, number of awards, duration, renewal rule or covered programme. Because selection is described as occurring during study, it should not be treated as a guaranteed admission-time concession or deducted from the first-year estimate.
If this scheme matters to your affordability decision, request the written policy for your specific CPC programme. Ask whether eligibility uses university marks, attendance, conduct, financial need or a combination; when each review occurs; how long an award lasts; and whether a student must reapply each semester or year. Ask for a sample award letter with private information removed so you can see which fee components it covers. Until the college confirms those points, include no Eklavya amount in your funding plan.
BSCC: check state eligibility and repayment separately
The Bihar government's official Student Credit Card materials describe BSCC as an education-loan scheme. The current government FAQ says applicants must be Bihar residents, have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised institution in Bihar, and be enrolled or selected for higher education at an institution recognised by the relevant regulator. The government portal lists an online registration and document-verification process. Those state conditions govern the loan; a college marketing page cannot approve an application or guarantee that an individual course and institution will qualify.
CIMAGE's own Student Credit Card page describes the scheme as a loan and names BCA, BBA and other group programmes. It also links to the government portal. That source is useful for the college's description, but confirm the current rules and the exact CPC programme's eligibility directly on Bihar's official scheme portal. Do not rely on old interest-rate, income-limit or loan-ceiling claims copied from a group page; use the latest government guideline and your bank or district registration and counselling centre's written decision.
A sanctioned loan is borrowed money, not an award. Check the repayment schedule, moratorium, interest and consequences of late payment in the current sanction documents. Do not assume that employment or placement changes erase the obligation, or that the college will pay the lender on your behalf.
A practical checklist before choosing a funding option
- Identify the legal college, campus, awarding university, programme and admission year on the offer. Ask the CPC admissions office to confirm whether Vijayam or Eklavya applies to that exact combination.
- For Vijayam, request the current test notice, registration deadline, eligibility, score or merit rule, award value, covered fee components, number of recipients, renewal conditions and written award decision date.
- For Eklavya, request the in-course selection rubric, semester schedule, academic thresholds, award amount, duration, renewal and how the award appears on the fee statement.
- For BSCC, use the official state portal and latest guidelines to check residence, qualifying-exam, programme and institution eligibility; complete the prescribed verification and retain the loan sanction terms.
- Compare each written award or loan with the CPC fee notice. CPC's 2026-29 page lists course fees separately from some university charges and describes seat-booking payments; do not assume an award offsets every charge or that a loan covers every optional expense.
- Keep applications, test results, award letters, loan sanction documents, receipts and repayment terms. Ask who to contact if the scheme list or portal conflicts with a counsellor's explanation.
CPC lists [email protected] and +91 98350 24444 for enquiries. The relevant decision is the written, session-specific policy, not a broad group claim or an informal estimate. As of this review, public pages do not give enough information to calculate a CPC scholarship amount or promise eligibility for a particular student.
