Doon Business School, a constituent school of DBS Global University (DGU) in Selaqui, Dehradun, runs its scholarship programme under the ESKAY Educational Trust. According to the university's scholarship page (last updated 4 June 2026), awards cover tuition-fee waivers ranging from 10% to 90%, are open to a first-come-first-served pool of the first 15% seats in each programme, and require formal approval from the Registrar's Office before they take effect. Submission of the online form alone does not confirm a grant.
Over the preceding two years, DGU reported awarding scholarships to more than 1,200 students, with aggregate support exceeding ₹7 crore across all programmes. The scheme covers all DGU schools including Doon Business School.
Merit Scholarships for MBA Students
For MBA applicants presenting a valid CAT, XAT, MAT, or CMAT score with a minimum 65% in graduation, the tuition-fee waiver scales with the exam percentile as follows:
The table stops at the 98th percentile for MAT/CMAT, with no entries in the 95–99 CAT/XAT columns for MAT/CMAT, so applicants with strong CAT or XAT scores qualify for higher waivers than equivalent MAT/CMAT scorers. The 90% waiver is the published ceiling for MBA.
For other postgraduate programmes, the university advises contacting the Admissions Office directly, as the above table is explicitly labelled for MBA students only.
Merit Scholarships for Undergraduate Students
For most undergraduate programmes (BBA, B.Com, B.Tech, BCA, and allied courses), the merit scholarship is calculated on the best four core subjects in Class 12 from any central board, or on CUET or JEE percentiles:
SuPW, Physical Education, and non-academic subjects are excluded from the 12th percentage calculation.
Merit Scholarship for BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB
For law programmes, the scholarship grid uses 12th board percentage or CLAT score:
The law merit scheme is capped at 50% tuition waiver, lower than the 90% ceiling for other UG and MBA programmes.
Special Category Scholarships
These are additional tuition-fee waivers for specific backgrounds. They can potentially stack with merit awards, though the university does not publish a formal combination rule on the scholarships page; applicants should clarify this at the Admissions Office.
The Uttarakhand Domicile scholarship is the most consequential for local students: at 25% of tuition, it can materially reduce annual cost even for applicants without a competitive exam score. Sports Quota awards go up to 50% and require a Sports Certificate in PDF format at application.
ESKAY Educational Trust Need-Based Scholarship
Academically deserving or financially constrained students may apply separately for the ESKAY Educational Trust Scholarship. The university describes this as aimed at removing financial barriers, but the official scholarships page does not publish a fixed benefit amount or income ceiling for this award. Interested applicants should contact the Admissions Office for current terms.
What the Bihar "Satya Scholarship" Does Not Cover
DGU separately advertises a "Satya Scholarship" for students from Bihar (under the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme), providing up to 25% of academic fee or ₹2.5 lakh, whichever is lower. The university explicitly states this scholarship is not applicable for programmes under Doon Business School. MBA, BBA, B.Com, and BBA+MBA students at DBS are therefore ineligible for this award.
Renewal Conditions
All scholarship categories require active renewal from the third semester onward. The Sponsorship Committee reviews each case semester by semester; there is no automatic continuation. To retain an award:
- Maintain 75% attendance in each subject individually in the preceding semester.
- Score at least 60% cumulative marks across all subjects (PG students) or 70% (UG students).
- Remain free of disciplinary action or fines imposed by the Disciplinary Committee.
- Submit a moral character certificate from the Course Coordinator annually.
- Provide an undertaking of availability for brand ambassador and goodwill activities.
- Not discontinue studies. If a student transfers out, scholarship amounts already disbursed must be refunded before the College Leaving Certificate is issued.
Third-semester scholarship eligibility depends on first-semester performance, fourth-semester on second-semester performance, and so on.

Timing: Submit the scholarship application along with the admission form where possible. The university's stated cut-off for the 2026 cycle is 15 July 2026. No applications will be entertained after this date.

Seat cap: Scholarships are available for the first 15% of seats in each programme on a first-come-first-served basis. Waiting until late in the admission cycle reduces the chance of availability.
