IIDE admissions: eligibility, selection and the next intake
IIDE’s current on-campus postgraduate marketing programmes are described as 11-month courses in Mumbai and Delhi. The official programme page captured on 4 November 2026 lists cohort starts in November 2026. It does not give an admission schedule for academic year 2027–28, so those listed dates should not be carried forward as next-year deadlines.
Choose the programme before applying
IIDE presents two distinct postgraduate routes. Its PG in Digital Marketing (also labelled PGDM on the programme comparison) focuses on specialist marketing work. The PG in Digital Marketing & Business Strategy (PGDBS) adds business strategy, finance, sales and entrepreneurship. The page lists 750 learning hours and nine modules for PGDM, compared with 1,000 hours and 15 modules for PGDBS. Both are shown as 11-month, on-campus programmes. Applicants should choose by the work they want to do and compare the current curriculum and fee terms before paying.
Use the programme’s full name when asking about admission. IIDE is a private institute, and its site describes postgraduate programmes, certificates and diplomas. The available official material does not establish that these courses are university-awarded MBA degrees. “MBA-level” is promotional positioning on the course page, not a substitute for an awarding-body or degree statement. Ask IIDE for the credential title and awarding institution in writing if degree status affects your plans.
Academic eligibility is programme-specific
IIDE’s Terms and Conditions state that applicants to the 11-month PGP in Digital Marketing need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognised university or an institution recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, with at least 55% aggregate or equivalent. The same section says diploma holders with three or more years of work experience may apply. It also allows final-year or final-semester applicants who have passed earlier semesters to apply; IIDE says the final degree mark sheet or certificate must later be submitted for its certification. Applicants with ATKT are directed to an admission counsellor for the provisional-admission process.
The separate 11-month PGP in Digital Marketing & Business Strategy has a higher academic threshold in the Terms and Conditions: a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 65% aggregate or equivalent, plus one to two years of work experience. That page says internships are considered. Do not apply the 55% rule from the Digital Marketing PGP to PGDBS.
IIDE’s programme comparison adds a selection distinction: it summarizes PGDM as requiring graduation score, an IIDE test and a personal interview; for PGDBS, it adds a competitive entrance-exam score. The currently captured pages do not name a universal exam, minimum exam score or fixed percentile cutoff. Treat the degree marks above as published academic eligibility, not as a promise of selection. Confirm the exact exam options and accepted score window for your intended cohort directly with admissions.
Selection process and what to prepare
The programme page gives a three-step process: submit the application form, complete an aptitude assessment, then attend a personal interview. IIDE describes the assessment as a way to understand applicants’ thinking, creativity and problem-solving. The interview is presented as a discussion of the applicant’s ambition, clarity and fit. These are IIDE’s descriptions of its own process; the page does not publish a scoring rubric or a guaranteed pass threshold.
Before applying, prepare your graduation marksheets and degree documents, a clear record of any work or internship experience, and the competitive-exam result if you are pursuing PGDBS and admissions confirms that it applies to your cohort. Final-year students should check when the final certificate must be submitted and what happens if results are delayed. Applicants with a diploma should ask whether their work history meets the stated three-year condition and what evidence is required.
The published criteria use different terms across sources: the legal Terms and Conditions state programme-specific degree and experience thresholds, while the programme comparison also lists test and interview requirements and an additional competitive-exam score for PGDBS. Read these as separate parts of the process, not alternatives. If a counsellor gives you a different eligibility rule, ask for the current batch policy or written confirmation before paying a non-refundable amount.
Dates shown for the currently listed cohort
As captured on 4 November 2026, IIDE’s programme page shows a Mumbai PGDBS weekday batch with an application deadline of 19 November 2026 and a start date of 27 November 2026. The Delhi row shows a start date of 23 November 2026 and a dash in the deadline field. These are page-listed 2026 cohort details, not a 2027–28 schedule; the Delhi deadline is not specified in that table. The page also labels capacity and remaining seats, which can change, so check the live campus listing before acting.
For the 2027–28 intake, no deadline, start date, seat count or accepted exam window was announced in the official pages reviewed for this article. Do not use the November 2026 dates as a forecast. Ask the admissions team which campus and batch are open, whether the programme name or eligibility has changed, what documents are due, and how long the offer remains valid.
Applicant checklist
- Confirm whether you are applying to PGDM (Digital Marketing) or PGDBS (Digital Marketing & Business Strategy).
- Match your degree aggregate and experience to that programme’s stated criteria; ask how equivalent grading is assessed.
- For PGDBS, confirm which competitive entrance exams and score dates are accepted for the exact batch.
- Ask whether the aptitude assessment and personal interview are both required and how they are scheduled.
- If you are in your final year, get the final-document deadline and provisional-admission conditions in writing.
- Verify the campus, cohort start, deadline, full fee schedule, refund terms and credential title on the current official documents.
IIDE also advertises financial-aid and merit-based scholarship opportunities on a separate page. Scholarship eligibility and award decisions should be checked against the current handbook; a scholarship is not automatic admission or a guaranteed fee reduction. For all changing details, rely on the written policy for your cohort rather than a prior-year page or a verbal estimate.
