Start with the Hyderabad campus and the exact programme
The current IMT Common Admissions fee page identifies IMT Hyderabad for the 2027–2029 batch and lists two two-year programmes: PGDM and PGDM Finance. Decide which of these you intend to apply for before comparing forms or notices. A Hyderabad programme listing should not be confused with similarly named courses at IMT Ghaziabad or IMT Nagpur. The same fee page states that programme and scholarship terms remain subject to each institute’s own official notices. IMT 2027–2029 fees and scholarships
For a 2027–2029 applicant, the current official admissions destination is IMT Common Admissions. Check that page for the active application form, campus selection, test-score validity, deadlines and selection stages before submitting. The older Hyderabad brochure is labelled Admissions 2026; it is useful for understanding the previous process, but its score windows and dates have expired and should not be carried forward.
What the previous Hyderabad brochure required
The latest directly reviewed campus admission brochure in this source set is for the 2026 cycle. It required a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks in any discipline, and it allowed candidates appearing in their final-year degree examination to apply. These are historical 2026 rules. The brochure does not establish the 2027–2029 eligibility threshold, any category-specific relaxation, or the documents needed to prove a final-year result. Verify the current notice before relying on any of those details. IMT Hyderabad Admissions 2026 brochure
That distinction matters if your degree is still in progress or your percentage is near the stated threshold. Do not treat the prior year’s rule as a promise that the next intake will use the same cutoff. Confirm whether the current form accepts provisional applicants, which result deadline applies, and what aggregate calculation the institute will use.
How the 2026 selection route worked
For Admissions 2026, the Hyderabad brochure described four stages: online application, shortlisting for Critical Thinking and Personal Interview using an accepted test score or percentile, a CT-PI stage, and final selection through a cumulative weighted average. The listed tests were CAT 2025, XAT 2026 and GMAT, including GMAT Focus Edition 2026. Its stated GMAT window ran from 1 January 2022 through 26 January 2026. The brochure also required an official GMAT score by 28 February 2026 for applicants whose processing was provisional. Every one of those score dates is historical; none confirms which test editions or score windows will count for 2027–2029.
The brochure named aptitude-test score, academic scores, critical thinking, interview and work experience as final-selection factors. It did not publish a numeric weighting formula in the section reviewed. A score accepted for one cycle is not proof that it will be accepted in the next, and the institute’s route should not be reduced to an assumed CAT cutoff. No 2027–2029 cutoff or weight percentage is asserted here.
A practical checklist before you submit
- Select the Hyderabad campus and confirm whether your application is for PGDM or PGDM Finance.
- Open the current admission notice and record its cycle, application deadline, eligible test names and each test’s score-validity window. Keep a copy of the notice used for your application.
- Check the current degree requirement, aggregate calculation, final-year rules and any category-specific provisions. The 2026 brochure is only a prior-cycle reference.
- Confirm the current selection stages and whether the Critical Thinking and Personal Interview format has changed. Prepare examples that show how you reason and communicate, rather than assuming the assessment will be identical to the prior cycle.
- Check score-report delivery instructions and deadlines. In 2026 the brochure gave GMAT applicants a separate final-score deadline; do not reuse that date for a later batch.
- Read the Hyderabad-specific fee and scholarship notices separately. The official fee page lists the 2027–2029 batch and campus programmes, while the specific fee and award terms are published through each campus notice.
If any current requirement is missing from the page or form, ask the Hyderabad admissions office before paying or relying on a third-party summary. Retain the official answer and the dated notice with your application records.
Programme list changes across editions
The programme list is not static. In the 2026 Hyderabad brochure, the institute listed PGDM, PGDM Marketing, PGDM Finance and PGDM Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The official 2027–2029 fee page lists PGDM and PGDM Finance. That comparison shows a material change in what the current campus listing names. If you are interested in Marketing or Logistics and Supply Chain Management, do not assume those tracks are available for the 2027–2029 batch just because they appear in the older brochure. Confirm their status directly with the campus before selecting a programme or paying an application fee. The available sources do not establish a reason for the list change.
What the previous selection method does and does not tell you
For the 2026 cycle, the brochure says test score or percentile was part of shortlisting, and that final selection used a cumulative weighted average including academics, critical-thinking assessment, interview and work experience. It does not publish a numeric cutoff or the percentage assigned to each factor in the section reviewed. So a test appearing on the old list does not tell you what score would earn a shortlist, and a strong score alone should not be treated as an admission guarantee. The brochure also does not establish the exact 2027–2029 CT-PI format or whether the same factors will carry the same weights. Check the active notice for those specifics rather than building a preparation plan around assumed thresholds.
