The 2027-29 intake is advertised, but confirm the live application terms
JIMS Kalkaji's current campaign page advertises the 2027-29 batch for two programmes: PGDM and PGDM-International Business (PGDM-IB). It calls both two-year, full-time programmes and lists 120 places for PGDM and 60 for PGDM-IB. The page labels this as the 25th PGDM batch and 18th PGDM-IB batch. Those are institute-published intake figures, not a guarantee that every seat will be filled or that the same number is available in each selection round. See the 2027-29 campaign page and check with admissions before you pay or make travel plans.
This guide is assigned to the 2027-28 publication edition. The campaign itself is explicitly for 2027-29, while some other pages still describe 2026-28 admissions. Keep the edition of this guide separate from the cohort whose application terms are being discussed. The current 2027-29 campaign establishes that an intake is being promoted; it does not by itself answer every eligibility, test-score, fee or deadline question.
Eligibility and entrance scores: what the live page says
JIMS's Eligibility Criteria page lists PGDM and PGDM-IB separately. For each it states a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks and allows students appearing in their final-year examination to apply. The page also displays a valid score in CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT or ATMA. It then lists a composite score of 500 or equivalent for CAT, MAT, ATMA and XAT. CMAT appears in the accepted-test list, but the same page does not give it a corresponding 500 threshold. Do not extend that threshold to CMAT or treat an exam name as proof that a particular exam year is accepted.
The eligibility page does not identify its rules with the 2027-29 intake. It also has a final-year result-submission month that has appeared differently across the institute's returned page versions. Because this changes an applicant's deadline, this guide does not repeat a month. Before applying as a final-year student, ask JIMS to confirm the applicable result-submission deadline and the documents needed to keep an offer provisional.
The page's 50% condition is stated for graduation in any discipline. It does not explain a CGPA-to-percentage conversion, a category relaxation, or how foreign or distance qualifications are assessed. If your marksheet uses grades or a non-standard scale, request the institute's conversion rule in writing rather than calculating one from another college's policy.
Selection stages are not described consistently
The Eligibility Criteria page says applicants shortlisted on entrance scores are invited for a Written Assessment Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), and that final selection is based on WAT, PI and previous academic record. An older Admission Procedure page is explicitly headed for the 2026-28 cycle and describes an aptitude-test, written-test, group-discussion and interview process. That older page cannot establish the 2027-29 sequence, and its reference to a group discussion does not match the shorter WAT-and-PI description on the current eligibility page.
The public pages reviewed do not provide a 2027-29 selection-weight table, a common entrance-score percentile cutoff, or separate shortlisting rules for PGDM and PGDM-IB. The 500 composite-score statement is part of the eligibility-page text; it should not be read as a promise of an interview or admission. Confirm which test editions are accepted, whether CMAT has a separate threshold, and whether GD is required for your application before relying on the older sequence.
Apply and verify the current steps
Start from JIMS's official admissions and application pages. The current campaign page promotes the 2027-29 intake; the institute also publishes an online application page. Confirm that the form you open is for the programme and batch you intend to join. The returned 2026-28 procedure page mentions an application charge, but that is a past-cycle detail and is not presented here as the 2027-29 charge. The available current campaign text does not establish a 2027-29 application fee, final closing date, instalment schedule or refund deadline.
Before submitting, save a copy of the live programme and batch details and check that the form has recorded the right PGDM option. JIMS lists PGDM and PGDM-IB as distinct programmes with different stated seat counts. The campaign says both are full-time and two years; it does not state that students can move between them after joining. Ask whether a single form can select both options, how preferences are ranked, and whether any change is allowed after submission.
A useful written enquiry should identify the intended programme and 2027-29 batch, the applicant’s graduation status, and the test already taken or planned. Ask for the official form link and its closing date, whether the stated 500 composite score applies to your test and test year, how CMAT applicants are assessed, and what final-year proof must be supplied. Then ask whether shortlist communication names WAT, GD, PI or another step, and request the score components used at each stage. Keep the reply with the form copy. This does not replace JIMS’s decision; it gives you a dated record of the instructions on which you acted.
For a complete and current answer, ask admissions to confirm in writing: the accepted test list and test year for 2027-29; the CMAT threshold, if any; the final-year result deadline; the exact WAT/GD/PI sequence and score weightages; application and programme charges; and the dates for the next selection round. The institute's current landing page lists [email protected] and the campus address as MOR Pocket 105, Kalkaji, New Delhi 110019. Use those details to verify that your enquiry concerns JIMS Kalkaji, not another JIMS campus.
