First check the intake
Jamia Hamdard’s official pages reviewed for this guide show the 2026–27 prospectus and admission notices. I could not find an official 2027–28 prospectus, application calendar or programme-specific selection rule in those pages as of 6 November 2026. Treat 2027–28 dates, eligibility changes and exam routes as unannounced until Jamia publishes them.
There is a live-cycle mismatch to keep in mind. The online admission portal still displays “Admissions Open 2026–27,” but a separate Admission Office notice says admissions for 2026–27 are closed for all programmes except SUMER, for which applications could continue only up to 30 October 2026. That exception has also passed. Do not use the portal banner alone as evidence that a course is accepting applications; check the latest notice for the exact programme and confirm with Admissions before paying.
Start with the exact programme
Jamia Hamdard publishes a university admission portal, an annual prospectus, course-specific notices and separate selection lists. These are not interchangeable sources: the rules for a NEET-based undergraduate course, MBA General, MPT or an AYUSH programme differ. Before filling a form, open the current prospectus and confirm the exact programme name, campus or school, academic session, eligibility and selection method. The official prospectus page currently links 2026–27 material, including an MBA brochure and an M.Sc Nursing brochure; it is not a 2027–28 prospectus.
When the next cycle opens, use the Jamia Hamdard Admission Portal and check its prospectus, fee-structure, notifications and important-dates links. Then use the programme’s notice page for any entrance test, counselling, document-editing window or interview. Do not assume one university-wide examination or application deadline covers every course.
Programme routes that were published for 2026–27
The examples below are historical 2026–27 instructions, not confirmation of the 2027–28 process.
For four UG programmes, Jamia’s 20 July 2026 notice addressed applicants who had already applied using NEET: B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and B.Tech Food Technology. It opened a document-editing window from 27 July at 11:00 a.m. until 29 July at 5:00 p.m. Applicants could upload a Class XII marksheet and NEET 2026 scorecard by logging into the portal with their registration credentials and editing pages 2 or 3. The notice said late document-upload requests would not be entertained. This establishes the route for those named programmes in that session; it does not establish NEET as a common requirement for all Jamia courses.
MPT and MOT used a different, university-run entrance test in 2026–27. The 2 June notice scheduled it for 18 June 2026 at the New Delhi campus. It described a two-hour paper with 75 multiple-choice questions worth two marks each, no negative marking, and a syllabus based on the BPT and BOT curricula respectively. Those dates are past; wait for a fresh notice before preparing around the next cycle’s format.
MBA General had programme-specific Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The third-round notice dated 4 August 2026 scheduled GD/PI for 10 August at the School of Management and Business Studies near Gate 6. This notice confirms that round only; it does not by itself state the complete eligibility or test-score rules for MBA General. Use the MBA brochure and the next session’s own notice for those requirements.
Application and follow-through
Use this sequence when the relevant cycle is announced:
- Choose the exact course. Check the current prospectus and the notice for that programme. Confirm the academic session and whether the route is based on an external score, a Jamia entrance test, a counselling authority or another process.
- Apply through the official portal. Follow the instructions shown for the programme and save the application number, fee receipt and submitted form. The public landing page alone may not show whether a particular programme remains open.
- Upload only the documents requested for that course and stage. The 2026 NEET notice, for example, requested a Class XII marksheet and NEET 2026 scorecard during a specific post-application editing window. It is not a universal document checklist.
- Track notices and the programme-specific selection list. Jamia’s selection page contains separate entries for different courses and successive lists. Check the matching course and applicant category, then follow the date and payment instructions in the individual offer or notice.
- Confirm admission and joining details. Jamia’s admissions FAQ says the Admission Cell sends confirmation by email. It directs enrolled students to the Student Portal for course schedules and class-start information. Check registered email and the portal rather than assuming that a selection-list entry alone completes enrolment.
Cancellation and refunds
For the 2026–27 session, Jamia’s 31 July notice set 30 September 2026 as the last date for completing admissions and specified a full-refund point through that date, followed by a stepped refund schedule based on when the university received a withdrawal request. Those dates have passed. Do not apply that schedule to 2027–28; check the university’s next session notice and the applicable UGC policy before withdrawing or estimating a refund.
Where to verify updates
Use the Admission Notices page, official selection lists, and the course-specific prospectus or notice before acting. For admission support, Jamia lists [email protected]. Its FAQ says a confirmed candidate receives an email from the Admission Cell and that course schedules are shared through the Student Portal. If an old portal banner conflicts with a later course notice, ask the Admission Cell to confirm the current status in writing.
