Kruti Institute of Technology and Engineering (KITE) in Raipur is a private college that makes a clear pitch: solid infrastructure and a practical curriculum at a tuition cost that’s hard to beat in the region. Established in 2008 on a 20-acre campus, it’s affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) and offers a wide range of B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and diploma programs. The official placement claims are ambitious, but student reviews paint a more modest picture of outcomes. For a student looking for an affordable, campus-focused engineering education in Chhattisgarh with decent facilities, KITE is a contender. But if your primary goal is guaranteed, high-paying campus placements, the data suggests you should manage your expectations.

Courses and Academic Programs at Kruti Institute of Technology and Engineering

KITE casts a wide net. Its core is engineering, with a B.Tech intake of 900 students across seven specializations: Civil, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical, Information Technology, and Mechatronics. That’s a significant number of seats, which speaks to the institute's scale. For postgraduates, there are M.Tech programs in most of the core engineering disciplines and an MBA with a surprisingly diverse set of specializations—including Power and Energy, Construction, and Hospital management alongside the standard Marketing, HR, and Finance tracks.

The institute also runs diploma programs in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering (180 seats total). And then there's a broader array of courses: B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, and even fashion design diplomas and degrees. This suggests the parent SBA Education Society operates multiple streams under one roof.

Academically, the curriculum is described as industry-upgraded with an emphasis on practical learning. The faculty strength is listed as 35 dedicated members, with most holding doctorates. Student reviews consistently highlight the faculty as a strong point, calling them experienced and supportive. That’s a decent foundation, though the sheer variety of programs might mean resources are spread thin.

KITE Raipur Placements: Packages, Companies & Reality Check

This is where you need to read between the lines. The official claims and the ground-level feedback from students don’t fully align.

The college states that 85-95% of eligible students get placed. The highest package cited is 12 LPA, but that’s from 2018. More recent figures point to highs of 6-8 LPA. The average package is quoted in a range from 3 LPA to 4.2 LPA. The recruiter list includes names like Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, L&T, and BHEL, suggesting opportunities in both IT and core engineering sectors. The institute also claims 80% of students secure internships, which are mandatory in the later semesters.

Now, the student review reality check. On platforms like Careers360 and Shiksha, the placement percentage cited by alumni is dramatically lower—around 30-40%. That’s a massive gap. It likely indicates that while the college attracts companies, the conversion rate for offers is much lower than the official "eligible students" metric might imply. The average package of 3-4 LPA, however, seems plausible and is repeatedly mentioned.

The verdict? You can expect a shot at campus placements, particularly with IT service companies. But banking on a near-guaranteed offer would be unwise. The outcomes appear modest, which aligns with the relatively low tuition fee. It’s a get-what-you-pay-for scenario.

Fees and Financial Aid at KITE Raipur

Affordability is KITE’s undeniable strength. The total tuition fee for the entire four-year B.Tech program is around ₹2.63 lakhs, breaking down to roughly ₹65,000 per year. That’s exceptionally low for a private engineering college. The MBA total fee is ₹1 lakh, and M.Tech is just ₹27,500 for two years. Diploma programs are around ₹28,250 for three years.

These figures appear to be for tuition only. Hostel and mess fees aren’t specified in the available data, so the total cost of attendance would be higher for out-of-town students. You’ll need to contact the college directly for that breakdown.

For financial aid, the primary avenue is state government scholarships. SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates from Chhattisgarh can apply for CG State Scholarships through the official government portals. There’s no mention of extensive institute-specific merit scholarships.

KITE Raipur Admissions: Eligibility and Selection Process

Admissions follow the standard affiliated college pattern for the region.

For B.Tech, you need a valid score from either JEE Main or the state-level CG PET. Selection is merit-based through the subsequent counseling process. The college also openly mentions a direct admission (management quota) route for B.Tech, which is common in private institutes.

For the MBA program, they accept scores from a basket of national exams: MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, and ATMA. The selection likely combines your entrance score, undergraduate marks, and possibly a group discussion or personal interview.

The application window for general admissions typically opens around April, with a June deadline. For the entrance exams themselves, you need to track the national calendars: CG PET exams are in May, MAT sessions are throughout the year, and CAT registration usually begins in August. An application fee to KITE is charged, but the amount isn’t specified.

Notably, there are no published cutoff ranks or percentiles for KITE. This often means the barriers to entry are not extremely high, especially for the management quota and after the main counseling rounds conclude.

Campus Life, Hostels and Infrastructure at KITE

The 20-acre campus on the outskirts of Raipur gets consistently good marks from students for its upkeep. Reviews use words like “beautiful,” “neat and clean,” and “well-maintained.”

The hostel infrastructure is a highlighted feature. There are separate boys' and girls' hostels with a combined capacity for 300 students. They’re described as providing safe, ragging-free environments with well-ventilated rooms, attached washrooms, 24-hour power backup, and Wi-Fi (during scheduled times). A 24-hour vehicle is on standby for medical emergencies. That’s a solid offering for students relocating to Raipur.

Academic infrastructure includes a library with thousands of books and journals, an air-conditioned auditorium, a gym, and a canteen. The college provides a fleet of about 10 buses for student transport across Raipur. Security features like CCTV and biometric attendance are in place.

But it’s not all perfect. One critical review pointed out that some academic labs have outdated or non-functional equipment. Another called the canteen “small.” These are the kind of friction points you often find in reviews, suggesting that while the macro-infrastructure is good, the day-to-day learning tools might have room for improvement.

What Students Say About KITE Raipur — Reviews & Ratings

Synthesizing student feedback online reveals a clear, three-pillar consensus on the positives.

First, infrastructure and hostel life are praised. The campus is considered pleasant and well-equipped, and the hostels are seen as a major plus for live-in students.

Second, the faculty gets high marks. Students find them experienced, qualified (with PhDs), and genuinely supportive in their approach to teaching. The emphasis on practical learning is appreciated.

Third, almost everyone agrees the college offers exceptional value for money. The phrase “fees charged is completely worth the money” is a direct quote that sums up the sentiment. In a landscape of expensive private education, KITE’s low tuition is its biggest draw.

The most significant negative is the placement gap, as discussed. Beyond that, some reviews hint at administrative hiccups or the limitations of being located on the city outskirts. The social life is likely campus-centric rather than city-integrated.

Verdict: Is Kruti Institute of Technology and Engineering Worth It?

KITE Raipur is a specific-value proposition. It’s best for students who are cost-conscious and seeking a decent, infrastructure-focused campus experience in Chhattisgarh without taking on heavy education loans. If your priority is a functional engineering degree from an AICTE-approved college at a very low tuition rate, and you’re willing to be proactive about your own career search beyond campus placements, KITE makes logical sense. The positive faculty reviews are a significant bonus.

You should probably look elsewhere if your primary decision metric is a high and guaranteed placement record from campus recruitment. The data shows a clear discrepancy between official claims and alumni-reported outcomes. Also, if you thrive in a bustling, urban campus environment, the secluded Knowledge Village location might feel limiting.

In short, KITE is a budget-friendly option that delivers on the basics of infrastructure and teaching. It’s not a placement powerhouse, but for the right student—one with realistic expectations and a focus on affordability—it can be a worthwhile choice. Always visit the official website and, if possible, the campus to get your own feel before deciding.
