The latest fee document captured for this page is NIT Raipur’s circular for 2025-26, dated 20 May 2025. It is useful for understanding the structure of the bill, but it is not a quote for a 2027-28 entrant. The institute’s official fee page and notice archive should be checked for the order that applies to your admission year before paying or budgeting. The 2025-26 circular lists first-year B.Tech tuition at ₹62,500 per semester and a first-semester total of ₹1,07,800, followed by ₹70,300 for the second semester. Together, those two published semester totals are ₹1,78,100 before any tuition remission. NIT Raipur fee circular for 2025-26.
These figures answer different questions. Tuition is the academic charge shown separately in the circular; the semester total combines tuition with other listed institute charges. The first-semester amount includes admission, institute development, alumni activity, refundable caution money and convocation charges, alongside recurring items such as library, computer and internet, student activity, career development, examination, safety insurance, medical, MIS and electricity charges. Because the first term includes one-time items, multiplying ₹1,07,800 by eight would not produce a reliable B.Tech degree cost. Nor should the second-semester figure be treated as a recurring annual bill: the circular presents semester-specific amounts, and the charge composition can change by term and edition.
The quoted subtotal is also not the full cost of living at the institute. Hostel, mess, travel and personal expenses are outside the tuition-and-institute-fee totals above. A student who needs accommodation should request the current hostel and mess schedule separately and confirm whether the room is available for the relevant category and term. The institute FAQ describes a limited hostel inventory, but it is undated and does not establish a current allotment or price. Do not add an old hostel figure to a new tuition notice without checking that both cover the same academic year and student group. NIT Raipur FAQ.
The 2025-26 circular lists ₹62,500 per semester as tuition for first-year B.Tech and B.Arch students. Its listed tuition is ₹35,000 per semester for M.Tech and ₹7,500 per semester for M.Sc. These are programme-specific tuition lines, not complete semester bills. The other charges and one-time components differ, so a B.Tech total should not be copied to a postgraduate student or an architecture entrant. Use the relevant programme row and term in the official schedule, then check the full set of charges underneath it.
The same notice distinguishes Indian-national, DASA, MEA and CIWG cases. For 2025-26, it lists CIWG tuition at the Indian-national rate of ₹62,500 per semester, with an equivalent-USD note. DASA tuition is shown as USD 4,000 per semester for non-SAARC applicants and USD 2,000 for SAARC applicants. The self-financed MEA route is listed at USD 2,000 per semester for non-SAARC and USD 1,000 for SAARC students. These amounts are tied to the circular’s stated year and categories. They are not currency conversions, and the USD rows should not be mixed with domestic rupee totals. Confirm the latest notice and the applicable route before relying on any amount.
For the 2025-26 admission schedule, the circular states full tuition exemption for students whose parental income is below ₹1 lakh and for SC, ST or PwD students. It lists tuition of ₹20,833 per semester for students in the ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh parental-income band. The notice says these remission terms do not apply to DASA and MEA applicants. The relief applies to the tuition component; it does not mean that every institute, hostel or mess charge disappears. A household should therefore compare the gross semester total with the applicable tuition waiver, rather than assume that the entire invoice is waived.
The circular also sets an evidence requirement for the income-based concession: an income certificate for financial year 2024-25 from a competent authority such as a District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner or Tehsildar, issued on or after 1 April 2025. It directs candidates to submit the certificate during admission in the Autumn/Odd semester. Those instructions are historical and specific to the 2025-26 intake; they do not establish the documents, issuing window or process for a later admission year. For a new application, use the current institute notice and counselling instructions, and keep the relevant certificate ready only after confirming the current rules.
Start with the fee order carrying the academic year and programme that match your offer. Separate tuition from other recurring charges and from one-time items, then note whether caution money is refundable and what conditions govern its return. Keep hostel and mess estimates on separate lines because they are not part of the institute subtotal described above. If you qualify for a remission, verify the accepted category or income proof, the deadline for submission and whether the rule applies to your admission route. Do not infer a waiver from a category name alone when the notice has route-specific exceptions.
For NIT Raipur’s 2027-28 cycle, this page does not have a directly verified fee circular or a current hostel and mess schedule. The figures above are a dated 2025-26 reference, not an estimate, promise or current payable amount. Check the institute’s official fee notice archive and ask the admissions or accounts office for the applicable schedule if a current circular is not posted. Before making a payment, compare the official demand with your programme, semester, student route and approved remission. Save the dated notice and receipt so that any later reconciliation uses the same basis.
