AP EAPCET 2026 Engineering examination dates (no sessions 16-17 May)
Official source →AP EAPCET 2026 Agriculture and Pharmacy examination dates
Official source →AP EAMCET is the name many students still use for Andhra Pradesh’s state entrance test, but the current official name is AP EAPCET, short for Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test. APSCHE’s examination page and JNTU Kakinada’s 2026 information booklets use AP EAPCET or APEAPCET. “AP EAMCET” remains a useful search term; when taking an action, follow the current official name, year and stream shown on the APSCHE exam portal. JNTU Kakinada conducts the examination on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. The examination convener and the admissions convener perform separate roles, so exam notices and counselling notices may appear in different parts of the official system.
As checked on 27 October 2026, official sources provide materials for the 2026 examination and some earlier admission cycles. They do not announce the 2027-28 application window, exam dates, fee, pattern revisions, syllabus changes, result calendar or counselling schedule. This page is a planning guide for that forthcoming cycle; the exact 2027-28 rules must come from the next official information booklet and admission notification. The 2026 facts below are historical reference points, never a forecast.
AP EAPCET groups courses into two test categories. The Engineering (E) category covers courses such as engineering and selected technology programmes. The Agriculture and Pharmacy (AP) category covers agriculture, horticulture, veterinary, fisheries, pharmacy and other listed programmes. The exact course list is set by the current booklet. The 2026 Engineering and Agriculture/Pharmacy booklets list overlapping and distinct destinations; the same course name can have different qualifying-subject rules depending on the route. Start by identifying the degree you want, then check its row in the current eligibility section rather than choosing a paper by its broad label.
In 2026, eligible candidates could apply for E, AP or both categories. Candidates wanting both tests were instructed to select “Both (E & AP)” together in one application. The booklet cautioned against submitting multiple applications for the same category. A candidate’s course options, accepted Intermediate subjects, age rules and eventual seat eligibility can differ, even when the person has sat one common test. A score alone does not make every listed course available to every candidate.
The first check is whether the applicant may appear for the selected test category. The second is whether that applicant satisfies the course and seat requirements at admission. In the 2026 booklets, eligibility depended on nationality or PIO/OCI status, Andhra Pradesh local/non-local requirements, specified qualifying subjects and marks, and course-specific age or diploma conditions. For example, the 2026 Engineering booklet allowed certain Intermediate or equivalent routes with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and also specified a diploma route for eligible engineering candidates. The Agriculture/Pharmacy booklet listed different subject combinations for courses such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, Fisheries and Pharmacy. These examples show why a single general eligibility summary can mislead.
The 2026 booklet stated a 25% qualifying threshold on the marks considered for ranking, with no minimum qualifying mark prescribed for SC/ST candidates; it also said their admission remained limited to the seats reserved for those categories. This exam-qualification rule does not replace the separate course, local-status, reservation-document or admission requirements. The current government orders and counselling notice control for the new cycle. Candidates whose course subjects or local status are unusual should read the exact clause and annexure, rather than relying on a broad eligibility calculator.
The 2026 Engineering test used an online format with 160 multiple-choice questions: 80 Mathematics, 40 Physics and 40 Chemistry. The Agriculture/Pharmacy paper also had 160 questions, with 40 each in Botany and Zoology, plus 40 Physics and 40 Chemistry. Each question carried one mark; the 2026 booklet described a three-hour paper and no negative marking. The streams ran on different dates, and the 2026 test used morning and afternoon sessions. Those numbers are useful for understanding the two-paper structure, but the 2027-28 booklet must confirm whether any detail has changed.
The 2026 Engineering booklet said rank combined normalized EAPCET marks (75%) and relevant qualifying-examination group-subject marks (25%). The Agriculture/Pharmacy booklet stated a corresponding combined score and stream-specific tie-breakers. However, the 2026 version-4 booklets also said the normalization procedure was under review and would be placed online after competent-authority finalization. That is a material cycle-specific caveat: candidates should not treat a generic normalization formula from an older article as the 2026 or 2027 rule. Check the latest notice and result methodology.
The exam application is completed through the APSCHE examination portal. Candidates should verify the category, stream, academic details, photograph, required declarations and fee before final submission, then keep the registration number and final application copy. A correction window, if announced, only permits changes listed in that cycle’s notice.
After the result, candidates seeking seats through convenor counselling must follow a separate admission process. That process can include payment of a counselling processing fee, candidate registration, certificate verification, web-option entry, allotment, fee payment, self-reporting and reporting at the college. The 2025 Bi.P.C notice is one official example of a prior-cycle schedule; it should not be reused as a 2027 calendar. The AP EAPCET counselling portal is distinct from the exam application portal and can have separate route-specific portals for MPC and Bi.P.C admissions.
Use the dates page to distinguish the coming schedule from the 2026 calendar; use Eligibility to compare test appearance with course admission rules; use Registration for a careful application checklist; and use Exam Pattern and Syllabus to plan preparation by stream. The hall-ticket and results pages explain how to use official candidate portals. Cutoffs, counselling and participating colleges address decisions after a rank is issued.
For a college decision, combine the current official option list and seat matrix with fees, branch availability, recognition and the candidate’s preferences. Historical closing ranks can help frame a shortlist only when college, course, category, local pool and counselling round match. They cannot promise a seat or predict a future cutoff. If a specific programme is not shown in the current counselling list, do not infer that last year’s appearance guarantees the same route this year.
The official 2026 date page listed a February application opening, March-April deadlines, May examination sessions and a tentative June result date. That sequence is not an official promise about 2027-28. Check the new year’s notices before making travel, coaching or admission decisions.
The 2026 exam booklets identify Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada as the examination-conducting institution on behalf of APSCHE. The examination and admission processes have separate notices, candidate portals and deadlines. This distinction matters if an applicant has a question: a form or hall-ticket issue belongs with the examination help desk, while a certificate verification, web-option or allotment issue belongs with the counselling authority named in that year’s admission notice. Save the relevant notice and use its current contact details rather than a number copied from an older website.
The official examination site is the starting point for the test notification, booklet, syllabus, mock test, schedule and result links. The admissions portal exposes separate Engineering/MPC and Agriculture/Pharmacy/Bi.P.C materials. A candidate can use the exam portal to confirm a rank and still have a separate sequence to complete before a seat is accepted. Treat these as connected but distinct workflows: exam registration creates the candidate’s test record; counselling registration and option entry express a later seat preference.
Submitting an application means that the authority has received a form and fee according to its rules. It does not certify that the candidate ultimately meets every course condition. The 2026 booklets allow certain applicants to appear while awaiting qualifying-examination results, but admission depends on satisfying the stated result and document conditions. Likewise, writing an AP-category paper does not establish eligibility for every agriculture, pharmacy, veterinary or fisheries course. The selected course’s qualifying subjects and age condition still matter.
A score is also not the same as an allotment. The 2026 rank method combined entrance marks and qualifying-examination group subjects, and its tie-breaks were stream-specific. After rank publication, an allotment additionally depends on the candidate’s eligibility, options, seats available in that round and the applicable reservation and local-area rules. A candidate should therefore avoid treating a coaching estimate or a raw mock score as a guaranteed college outcome.
Check the document title, cycle year, stream and version before relying on a rule. A later booklet or correction notice can supersede an earlier PDF. In 2026, the live Important Dates page displayed later key and objection dates than those in the Engineering booklet’s version-4 schedule table. Both records are useful as historical evidence of a revision, but the current live notice would have governed the actual deadline. Keep the revised notice alongside the original if the change affects a submitted objection or travel plan.
Read footnotes, annexures and course tables as part of the rule. Local-status definitions, qualifying subjects, age references and tie-break rules can sit away from the first summary page. If a candidate’s case depends on an equivalent qualification, vocational route, special category or study across multiple states, use the exact clause and contact the authority while the help desk is available. A short eligibility summary should direct a candidate to the controlling clause, not substitute for it.
A practical plan can begin without guessing dates. Candidates can identify their likely test stream, maintain board-study progress, collect records that are already available and monitor the official site periodically. They should wait for the next booklet before paying an application fee, setting an exact mock-paper pattern or deciding that a particular document is sufficient. The 2026 February-to-May sequence helps explain the kinds of milestones to expect, but the next authority may choose different dates, fees, session arrangements or eligibility wording.
A useful personal record set includes the final submitted application, payment acknowledgement, hall ticket, response/key details where available, rank card and counselling receipts. Store copies securely and do not post registration identifiers publicly. During counselling, save the option list and allotment order as well as any fee and reporting confirmations. These records make it easier to correct a mismatch or prove completion before a deadline.
Work backwards from the degree: identify the qualifying subjects, test category, course-specific age condition and admission route. Then build a college list using the current option list, seat matrix, branch, location, fee and approval information. A college’s general website can describe campus facilities, but it does not prove that a specific course appears in the current convenor counselling options. The current official list controls the options a candidate can submit.
Historical last ranks are most useful when compared like-for-like: same institution, branch, category, gender column, local-area pool and counselling round. Even then, they show what happened under a past seat inventory and candidate pool. They do not establish a safe rank or a future cutoff. Keep aspirational choices only alongside realistic alternatives the candidate would genuinely accept, and verify fees and reporting terms before locking options.
This planning edition distinguishes dated 2026 exam facts and a 2025 counselling example from unannounced 2027-28 details. When APSCHE publishes the next notification, replace the historical schedule, fee, pattern and document checklist with the new official language. If the authority has not published a value, leave it marked unannounced instead of filling the gap with an estimate. The supporting pages in this guide follow that same boundary.

AP EAPCET 2026 only: the instruction booklet set a qualifying threshold of 25% of maximum marks considered for ranking for General candidates; it prescribed no minimum qualifying mark for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe candidates. This is an examination qualification/ranking threshold, not a college cutoff; reserved-seat limits still apply. It is not a 2027-28 rule. Official 2026 booklet: https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET/PDF/APEAPCET2026_Instruction_Booklet_Agriculture_Pharmacy_V4.pdf.
AP EAPCET 2026 version 4 only: the booklet states ranking used 75% normalized EAPCET marks and 25% qualifying-examination group-subject marks. The same version-4 booklet says the normalization procedure was under review pending competent-authority finalization. Therefore this records the booklet's stated weighting with that unresolved methodological caveat; it does not assert a finalized normalization method or 2027-28 formula.
