The authority's 2026 schedule labels dates tentative. It set the application opening on 3 March and the submission deadline on 1 May 2026 at 5 p.m. IST. An edit window was listed for 5-7 May. Admit-card downloads were planned from 27 May through 6 June, with the test on 6 June from 2 to 4 p.m. IST. The answer-key challenge window was 10-11 June. The result/score-card date, 29 June, was explicitly tentative.
The same calendar listed counselling choice registration and locking from 30 June to 3 July, then three general allotment rounds in July and a special allotment round tentatively on 25 July. The homepage currently reports the special-round seat-allotment result as declared. That later portal status supersedes the question of whether the proposed July process took place, but it does not confirm every milestone date printed in the original tentative schedule. In particular, do not repeat the planned 29 June result date as the verified actual result-publication date without a dated result notice.
What has not been announced
The 2027 application opening, submission deadline, correction window, admit-card release, exam date, result date and counselling dates were not present in the official notices checked on 28 October 2026. The calendar turning to a new year does not create a new NIMCET cycle. Previous years' dates can help you anticipate the kinds of milestones to watch, but they are not an official forecast. For the same reason, the 2026 registration fee and paper pattern should not be treated as confirmed 2027 facts. Reopen the current information brochure, official schedule and notices together when they appear. Build a dependency-aware reminder plan
When the next official cycle begins, put the application deadline first, then work backwards.
