SAT dates and deadlines: 2026-27 Weekend schedule
The SAT is not offered on one annual exam date. College Board publishes multiple SAT Weekend administrations through the year, with test-center availability depending on location and remaining seats. The dates below are the announced 2026-27 Weekend dates that remained upcoming on 28 October 2026. The schedule applies to U.S. and international students. Choose a date only after checking the test center in the College Board registration flow and comparing both the application deadline and the official score-receipt deadline at each college.
College Board lists SAT Weekend registration deadlines as expiring at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time. The test date is local to the test center. The final column is when College Board says students can see scores; it is not an admissions decision date. A college may take additional time to process a score after it arrives. For planning, allow time for score selection and delivery as well as the stated College Board release date.
Upcoming fall and spring planning
As of 28 October 2026, the November 7, 2026 administration has a regular registration deadline of October 23 and late/change deadline of October 27, both elapsed. If already registered, use the account and test-center notices for that appointment. If not registered, do not assume a waitlist or another unlisted route is available internationally; check the official account and test-center availability. The next listed Weekend test date is 5 December 2026.
For a December sitting, the regular deadline is 20 November and the late/change deadline is 24 November 2026. For spring 2027, the listed regular deadlines are February 19, April 16 and May 21. A deadline is not a guarantee that a preferred city still has an open seat. Begin registration early enough to compare centers, select an accessible location and complete any device-lending or accommodation steps.
College Board notes that a student who needs to borrow a test device must register and request it at least 30 days before test day. That request cutoff comes earlier than the ordinary registration deadline. Confirm the current device-lending process before relying on a loaned device. An approved testing accommodation may also require a separate approval period; do not wait until the standard registration deadline to start that process.
Score-release timing
College Board's posted student score dates for the remaining 2026-27 Weekend tests are December 18, 2026; March 19, 2027; May 14, 2027; and June 21, 2027. These are different from the K-12 score-report portal dates for educators. Most weekend scores are released two to four weeks after testing, but use the exact published date for the selected administration. Score release to the student and delivery to a college are separate steps. Processing times vary by institution after the report is received.
Work backward from each college's own application deadline and score deadline. If a college needs an official report by a fixed date, do not rely solely on the date the score appears in the student's account. Determine whether the college accepts self-reported scores during review, how to send the official report, and whether a retake can be completed and reported in time. SAT does not set a universal college application calendar or a common score deadline.
SAT School Day uses a different calendar
Students taking SAT School Day do not register for an individual Weekend date. Their school or district handles the administration. For the 2026-27 school year, College Board lists a fall testing window of 1-30 October 2026 and a spring window of 1 March-30 April 2027. School Day score reporting is grouped by when answer submissions are received, and state testing programmes may set their own timing. Students should ask their school or district which date and score-release group applies to them.
Do not copy a School Day window into an individual College Board account plan or assume Weekend score release dates apply to a school administration. Confirm the route first: Weekend candidates select and book a seat; School Day candidates follow school instructions.
Changes, cancellation and late registration
The published schedule provides a later deadline for changes, regular cancellation and late registration. The precise options and additional fee depend on the service and account rules. The international fee page lists charges through June 2027, but a test-center change is not the same as changing the test date. For a different date, the page instructs students to cancel and register again. Review the live account before making a change, because a preferred seat may no longer be available and fees can apply.
Sunday testing is limited to students who cannot test on Saturday for religious reasons and must be requested through College Board's process. Sunday availability is not an automatic alternative date. Check eligibility and the dates listed for that request before planning around it.
Candidate calendar checklist
- Confirm whether the target college requires or considers SAT for the intended entry year.
- Record both the application deadline and the deadline for official test scores.
- Select a published SAT Weekend date and verify a real test-center seat in My SAT.
- Check the regular deadline, late/change deadline and timezone; set a reminder before each.
- Request any accommodation early, and request a loaned College Board device at least 30 days before the test if needed.
- Add the published student score-release date and leave time for score delivery.
- Recheck Bluebook, email, My SAT and test-center notices as test day approaches.
