What do the 2026 MCC Round 1 cutoffs show?
A NEET college cutoff here is the highest All India Rank allotted to one institute, course, quota and allotted category in a specified round. The opening AIR is the lowest rank in that same profile.
MCC's final 2026 Round 1 result, dated 24 August 2026, contains 29,946 allotment records. Our downloadable compilation groups them into 3,368 profiles across MBBS, BDS and B.Sc. Nursing. MBBS accounts for 3,009 profiles and 25,635 records.
For MBBS, 483 of 515 exact institute labels have profiles with different closing AIRs. Before using a college's quoted cutoff, ask which quota and allotted category it belongs to.
MAMC 2026: one college, two quota cutoffs
Hold Maulana Azad Medical College, MBBS and the Open allotted category constant. The two quotas below still close at different AIRs. Delhi University Quota has separate eligibility conditions; its larger closing AIR is not an alternative available to everyone.
MCC final 2026 Round 1 · Maulana Azad Medical College · MBBS · Open allotted category · AIR
The First and Last links identify contributing endpoint pages, not a continuous page range. Open is the allotted seat category, not a claim that all candidates in those rows belong to the General category. The PDF records the two categories separately. This simple two-quota example excludes CW and NRI lanes, whose eligibility cannot be inferred from these aggregate fields.
Three Open-allotment quota cohorts
Holding the course at MBBS and the allotted category at Open, the release contains three named quota cohorts. Each profile has equal weight in the median; a profile with more allotment records does not receive extra weight.
Median of profile closing AIRs · MBBS · Open allotted category
These cohorts contain different institutions and conditions. Their medians are descriptive, not universal target ranks, evidence that one quota is easier, or an estimate of what changing quota would do for one student.
Keep the year and counselling route together
This is final Round 1 evidence, not the final cutoff after all 2026 rounds. It does not include independent state-counselling results. The source prints Self-Financed Merit Seat as a quota; we retain that label instead of silently changing it to the 2025 file's Deemed/Paid Seats Quota.
The searchable 2025 archive below remains a separate release. Do not compare its overall college counts with 2026 as if both files contained an identical set of institutions. For a useful year comparison, first match the institution, course, quota, allotted category and round.
Check the source, then build your shortlist
We checked the PDF checksum and all 29,946 serials across 1,272 pages. Each CSV row preserves its source-page references; the manifest records the extraction method and file checksum. These are allotments, not confirmed admissions or live vacancies. This research addition does not change the predictor's cutoff database.
Check the method, limits and downloads
Official source dated · Analysis prepared · 1,272 source pages. Aggregate profiles only; no candidate-level records. Exact source institute label for the example: Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi,2 Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg New Delhi.
Methodology
Pin the official final 2026 Round 1 PDF hash and 1,272-page count. Extract all data pages with the existing MCC table parser; require serials 1-29,946 exactly once and non-decreasing positive AIR.
Validate source course, allotted quota, allotted category and actual allotment status. Keep allotted category separate from candidate category.
Aggregate exact printed institute label, course, allotted quota and allotted category; opening/closing AIR are the minimum/maximum source ranks. Preserve source pages and fractional AIR if present.
Keep Self-Financed Merit Seat as its own source and normalized quota label. Do not recode it as the 2025 Deemed/Paid Seats Quota or infer identical eligibility across years.
For MBBS, count exact labels with multiple profiles, distinct closing AIRs and multiple quotas independently. Compare unweighted profile-closing-AIR medians only within the named Open allotted-category cohorts.
Use the exact Maulana Azad source label for the two-quota example. Do not fuzzy-match institutions or join production college IDs. Publish only the existing eleven aggregate fields.
Limitations
Final MCC 2026 Round 1 only; not the provisional Round 2 file, independent state counselling, every NEET route or a complete 2026 counselling outcome.
Allotment records are not confirmed admissions, unique applicants, seat capacity, live vacancies or admission probabilities. Reporting, verification, eligibility and later rounds can change outcomes.
Open is the allotted seat category, not a restriction to General-category candidates. AIR is not a JoSAA-style category-rank lane.
Exact printed institute labels are not verified Admission Guardian entity IDs. Cross-year address/name differences are not automatically merged, and this release does not update predictor cutoffs or certify accuracy.
CW, NRI, domicile, institutional, minority and other priority or eligibility rules are not fully represented by aggregate dimensions. The simple two-quota example excludes CW/NRI lanes.
Quota comparison cohorts contain different institutions and conditions. Medians are descriptive, not universal target ranks or causal effects. The previous 2025 and exploratory 2019-2025 files remain separate.

Open is an allotted seat category, not necessarily the candidate's category. Restricted quotas keep their source labels; a listed rank does not establish domicile, institutional, minority or other eligibility.
Source precision is retained, including unusual decimal AIR values. Round 1 is not the final closing rank after all counselling rounds. Check the current official rules before filling choices.
A NEET college cutoff in this study is the highest All India Rank observed for one institute, course, quota and allotted category in a specified counselling round.
The opening AIR is the lowest recorded rank for that same profile. These are endpoints calculated from an allotment result, not exam qualifying marks and not proof that every allotted candidate joined. A smaller AIR is earlier in the rank order; a larger closing AIR is not automatically a better or worse college.
We extracted the MCC final 2025 Round 1 result into 3,113 profiles representing 26,608 allotment records across MBBS, BDS and nursing. The MBBS-only analysis below contains 2,733 profiles and 22,149 allotment records. Each profile retains its source pages.
The question is practical: when someone quotes a college's NEET cutoff, which seat are they describing? The year and institution name alone leave out information that can change the answer substantially.
Why one college can have several closing ranks
In this MCC result, 462 of 477 exact MBBS institute labels (96.86%) have quota/category profiles with different closing AIRs. 60 labels appear under more than one quota. The count uses exact source labels, not fuzzy matches to our college directory.
Hold the college and course constant
For Maulana Azad Medical College, MBBS and the Open allotted category, the All India and Delhi University rows have different rank endpoints. The latter quota has its own eligibility conditions; the larger number does not make that lane available to every applicant.

Open means the allotted seat category here. It does not mean that every candidate in those rows belongs to the General category. The PDF records these as separate columns; for example, its page 68 shows a Maulana Azad Open allotment for an OBC candidate.
Compare selected Open-allotment quota populations

These quotas cover different institution populations. Their medians are not admission targets, government-versus-private comparisons or estimates of what changing a quota would do for one student. All India and Open Seat Quota are distinct source labels; neither should be silently renamed to represent the other.
How the official-source study can be checked
The source is one final allotment document dated 12 August 2025, not a complete history of MCC or state counselling. Its 1,107 pages contain 26,608 allotment records. Our source-only publisher verifies the pinned PDF hash, extracts the complete serial sequence and rejects extraction issues before generating the public release.
Group by exact source institute label, course, quota and allotted category. Do not join the rows to our production database.
Calculate minimum and maximum AIR, count the allotment records and retain the contributing PDF page numbers for each profile.
For MBBS, count source labels with multiple profiles, different closing AIRs and multiple quotas. Calculate the selected Open-allotment quota medians separately.
Export aggregate records, then record the CSV checksum, dimensions, counts and limitations in the manifest. No candidate-level rows are included in the public download.
The manifest identifies the source, its hash, the publication command and the statistical definitions. The CSV lets you reproduce the profile comparisons directly; reproducing PDF extraction also requires the pinned source PDF and the documented parser dependencies.
The source itself prints AIR 13,767.5 on page 287. We preserve that unusual decimal instead of silently rounding or explaining its cause. A fractional median, by contrast, can arise normally when averaging the middle two ranks in an even-sized cohort.
Allotment counts are not confirmed admissions, unique-applicant counts, available-seat totals or a measure of predictor accuracy. The MCC final-result notice requires subsequent reporting and verification. CW, insured-person, domicile, minority and other restricted lanes require their own eligibility or priority checks; the result's profile columns do not encode every condition. This study does not decide whether you qualify for them.
This new compilation has automated source and consistency checks, not a claimed new human review. Its evidence does not recover or validate the separate legacy seven-year calculation below.
Historical 2019-2025 data: a separate exploratory archive
This archived release contains 13,198 reported cutoff-record observations for NEET General category. Its seven annual summaries cover 2019-2025. These are not counts of distinct colleges, and the original aggregation provenance has not been recovered. The new MCC study above does not recalculate these values.

These files contain seven annual aggregates, not student records. Row-level official source URLs are not yet published, so this release remains exploratory and is not an accuracy backtest.
The September 10, 2026 correction changes observation labels and provenance disclosure only. It is not a new human review or a recalculation of the statistics. Numerical data and download URLs are unchanged.
The archived aggregate reports a 5th-percentile General-category closing rank of AIR 774 in 2019 and AIR 1,874 in 2025. The reported median changed from AIR 9,093 to AIR 20,368. A higher numerical closing rank is later in AIR order. These summaries do not, by themselves, prove score inflation, reduced competition, or a change in an individual student's admission probability.

How to use these cutoffs in your shortlist
Start with your official NEET AIR. If you only have marks, keep an estimated rank separate from a confirmed scorecard rank.
Select the intended course, then check the counselling authority and quota you are eligible for. A category label alone does not establish domicile, institutional or special-quota eligibility.
Compare the exact year, round, allotted category and quota. Keep the source document beside the comparison and check the current official rules before filling choices.
Use the NEET College Predictor to organise college options, then examine each relevant cutoff record. A past endpoint is context for planning, not an offer or a guaranteed safe choice.
Common comparison mistakes
Do not use a college's loosest cutoff across all categories as your own target, treat Round 1 as the final end of counselling, or compare NEET qualifying marks with an allotment AIR. Do not convert this source-only study into an accuracy percentage for the predictor. For a course-specific target, use the NEET cutoff target tool and inspect its recorded scope.
Why two NEET college predictors can disagree
Do not choose the more optimistic answer. Compare the same exact profile first and make each assumption visible. Different outputs may be legitimate when any item below differs; an unexplained difference is a reason to inspect the underlying cutoff row.
Input rank and source
Compare official AIR with official AIR. A marks-derived estimate, category rank or an older scorecard value is not the same input.
Admission year and round
One tool may use 2026 Round 1 while another selects a later round, the most permissive annual endpoint or several historical years.
Course
MBBS, BDS and nursing records must remain separate even when the institution label is identical.
Counselling authority and quota
MCC and state counselling are different scopes. AIQ, All India, Open Seat Quota, State and institutional quota labels must not be silently merged.
Allotted category
Open and reserved allotted-seat categories can have different rank endpoints. A candidate category does not by itself identify the allotted category row.
Domicile and restricted seats
Home-state, university, minority, insured-person, CW, NRI and other restricted lanes require separate eligibility checks.
College identity and data coverage
Check whether both tools map the same official institution label and cover the same participating colleges without guessing unmatched names.
Missing rows and chance-label rules
Unknown data must not become a zero cutoff or rejection. High, Medium and Low labels may also use different buffers or volatility rules.
Why does the same medical college have different NEET cutoffs?
A college can allot seats through different courses, quotas and allotted categories. Compare the same year, round, course, quota and category before interpreting a closing AIR. A cutoff from another quota does not establish your eligibility for that seat.
Does an Open-category cutoff apply only to General-category candidates?
No. Open is the allotted seat category in the MCC result, not necessarily the candidate's category. Reserved-category candidates also appear against Open allotments. These studies group the allotted category and do not calculate candidate-category cutoffs.
Are these the final NEET 2026 college cutoffs?
They are source-derived opening and closing AIRs from MCC's final 2026 Round 1 allotment result, dated 24 August 2026. Final describes that round's result, not the end of all counselling. Later rounds and independent state counselling are outside this release.
What was the MAMC MBBS Open cutoff in MCC 2026 Round 1?
Maulana Azad Medical College's MBBS Open allotments closed at AIR 129 under All India and AIR 2,662 under Delhi University Quota. These are different eligibility lanes, not two interchangeable targets for every candidate. The comparison links to the official PDF pages.
Can I use this research to guarantee a NEET seat?
No. Use it to understand the exact seat profile, then build a shortlist in the NEET college predictor and check current eligibility and counselling documents. The 2026 and 2025 Round 1 releases are separate from the exploratory older chart; none is a guaranteed admission or an accuracy backtest.

What the release reports and what cannot be verified
The archived files report seven annual General-category closing-rank aggregates for 2019-2025.
Each row contains reported 5th, 50th and 95th percentile values and a record count, not a count of distinct colleges.
The original aggregation query, row snapshot and percentile algorithm have not been recovered. The annual percentile values have not been independently recalculated.
Exact original course, quota and round filters, missing-value handling and record deduplication cannot be verified from these seven rows. The JSON field totalCollegesAnalyzed and CSV column annual_college_observations are legacy names retained for compatibility. Both describe reported record counts, not distinct colleges.
The 5th percentile describes the more selective end of the available sample, while the 95th percentile describes its broadest end. These are distribution summaries, not cutoff promises for a particular college, category, quota or counselling round.
Limitations and correct use
This is an exploratory trend analysis, not a fixed-cohort experiment or a predictor backtest. The archived release reports 338 records for 2019 and 3,010 for 2025. These are not counts of distinct colleges. Course, quota and round coverage may differ between years, so changes in the mix of records can affect the summaries. The underlying database does not yet publish row-level source URLs. Use the chart to frame questions, then verify college, course, category, quota and round cutoffs in the official counselling documents.
