The time has come for candidates to fulfill their dreams of a career in law. The date for CLAT 2026 has been announced. The CLAT examination will be held on December 3, 2026. Candidates can enroll in undergraduate LLB and postgraduate LL.M courses. Admission to National Law University and 40 other universities requires a written examination. All candidates must take the Common Law Admission Test 2026.
CLAT 2026 online registration will begin in the first week of May 2026. The application window will close in the last week of November 2026. Interested candidates can participate in the application process once it opens.
CLAT 2026 Exam
As mentioned, applications for CLAT 2026 will begin in May 2026. According to the latest decision from the Consortium of National Law Universities (NALSAR) in Hyderabad, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) will be conducted in offline mode from 2026. Eligibility Criteria
CLAT 2026 Undergraduate LLB
- Candidates must have secured 45% marks in the 12th standard.
- SC/ST candidates should have 40% marks in the 12th standard.
- Candidates appearing for their 12th examination in 2027 can also apply.
- Candidates must provide proof of passing the 12th standard. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the application by the National Law University.
CLAT 2026 Post Graduate LLM
- Candidates with an LLB / Five-Year Integrated LLB (Hons.) / Equivalent Degree should have 55% marks.
- SC/ST candidates should have 50% marks.
