JEE Main {{current-year}} examinations postponed till January

According to JEE Main 2026 news, the National Testing Agency will postpone JEE Main 2026 January. The exam was postponed until March, and students have asked for a shortened syllabus. These requests are on the Twitter handle of Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, next to his recorded conversation on the platform.
Hundreds of requests ask about the syllabus for JEE Main 2026 and NEET exams. Students are also requesting another attempt for JEE Advanced 2026 for those who could not attempt it in 2020 due to the epidemic. Many are calling for another attempt in 2026 after the outbreak.
Some students have even reached IIT Delhi, seeking redress for their concerns. Many failed to prepare for JEE Advanced or had to drop out of the exam. Requests have been made to delay the January exam until February or March, with the April exam pushed to June. Students have expressed concern about the late examination schedule. Some have also requested two additional attempts for the JEE Advanced exams.
About 12 to 13 lakh students appear for JEE Main examinations, and around 16 lakh students take the NEET exam. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is supposed to be online on December 10, 2020, to discuss students' concerns and suggestions on the CBSE board exams and competitive exams like JEE and NEET 2026. Students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders have been asked to share feedback, concerns, and questions.
