Tamil Nadu State Government Schemes
State scholarships apply primarily to students admitted through the government quota via TNEA counselling.
- 7.5% Government School Quota: The Tamil Nadu government absorbs the entire tuition, hostel, and mess fees for students who studied in state government schools from Class 6 to 12 and secure admission under this preferential quota.
- Pudhumai Penn and Tamizh Puthalvan Schemes: Girls (Pudhumai Penn) and boys (Tamizh Puthalvan) who completed Class 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu government schools are eligible for a direct bank transfer of ₹1,000 per month to defray educational expenses.
- First Graduate Concession: A tuition fee waiver, typically between ₹25,000 and ₹27,500 annually, is available for the first student in a family to pursue higher education. Candidates must submit a Tahsildar-issued First Graduate Certificate during TNEA counselling.
- BC/MBC/DNC and SC/ST Post-Matric Scholarships: Students from these categories with a parental annual income below ₹2.5 Lakhs are eligible for state tuition waivers and maintenance allowances. The institute's OBC and Equal Opportunity Cells assist in processing these applications.
AICTE Central Scholarships
