BITS Pilani Rankings 2025: University, Engineering and Pharmacy
In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2025, BITS Pilani placed 7th in the University category, 11th in Engineering and 2nd in Pharmacy. These are rankings of the institution in three different categories, not separate scores for the Pilani campus. The University category carries an overall score of 67.24 in the official result; the category ranks should not be combined into one campus position or treated as programme-specific admission or placement outcomes.

How the three categories relate to the Pilani campus
BITS Pilani operates more than one campus. The NIRF entries identify BITS Pilani as the ranked institution, but the captured results do not give a distinct NIRF score for the Pilani campus alone. Treat these positions as institution-level context when considering Pilani. They do not show that every programme, department or campus performed at the same level, and they cannot substitute for Pilani-specific evidence about courses, costs, support or student outcomes.

What ranking does not replace
Rankings are one input in a college decision. They do not replace checking the exact course and campus, official admission route and cutoffs, the full fee schedule, scholarship conditions, or dated placement evidence. For example, the Pilani placement table reports campus-specific cohorts and combined FD/HD salary measures; those figures describe placement outcomes, not the NIRF category result. Keep each source and measure separate rather than using one ranking as a proxy for a different decision.
Accreditation and approval are also different questions from ranking. Before quoting a rank, open the matching official NIRF result and retain its category and edition. Do not restate a category position as a campus rank or as a rank for an individual branch.
