What the current IBS Mumbai campus page lists
IBS Mumbai’s current campus page describes an 80,000 sq. ft. campus with 15 classrooms across two floors. It lists a 225-seat auditorium, faculty cabins, separate common rooms for men and women, a gym, three syndicate rooms for student-faculty interaction, two large conference rooms and a foyer. These are the facilities the institution currently chooses to identify on its public campus page. The page does not provide classroom occupancy, room schedules, gym access rules or whether all spaces are available to every PGPM cohort, so treat the list as an inventory to verify rather than a guarantee of unrestricted use.
For prospective students, the academic spaces matter more than a long amenity checklist. The classrooms and syndicate rooms are described as places for classes and student-faculty interaction; the conference rooms and auditorium indicate that the campus has spaces beyond regular teaching rooms. The public page does not specify classroom technology, room layouts, event access or how often the larger venues are used for student activities. If you are comparing campuses, ask what a normal class week looks like and whether student teams can book the smaller discussion rooms for case work.
Library resources and the learning environment
The current page reports a library collection of more than 28,000 books, 13 international and 92 national journals and magazines, and over 2,000 CDs. It also says the library subscribes to eight major online databases. These figures describe the published collection, not the number of titles relevant to a particular elective, the access period for each database, or whether the subscriptions work off campus. Students who expect to use financial, market or company databases should ask which products are included in the present subscription list and whether access is available from personal devices outside the campus network.
The page does not name the databases, identify the journals individually, give opening hours or report lending limits. It therefore supports a useful baseline, but not a complete research-services comparison. Before deciding on the basis of the collection count, check whether the resources align with your intended specialisation and whether the reading room and digital access arrangements fit your study routine. The source also does not make a claim about current laboratory software or machine specifications, so those should be confirmed directly if they are important to your decision.
Why older brochure figures need a date label
An official IBS PGPM brochure for the 2024-26 batch describes a different physical inventory: 150,000 sq. ft., 30 learning halls and a 500-seat auditorium. The current IBS Mumbai page instead reports 80,000 sq. ft., 15 classrooms and a 225-seat auditorium. Both are institutional publications, but the older brochure is explicitly tied to an earlier batch and does not explain the difference. It could reflect a revised description or a different counting basis; the available sources do not establish which. Use the current campus page for the present public description and ask the campus to confirm the exact usable area and room count if those figures affect your choice.
The older brochure also described a language-development centre, a computer lab, SQL analytics labs, a 14-seat aptitude lab and a Bloomberg finance lab then described as upcoming. It listed two cafeterias and nearby accommodation tie-ups. These are historical brochure statements, not confirmation that each facility or arrangement is operating in the same form now. In particular, the brochure called the Bloomberg lab upcoming, so it should not be presented as an active current facility without a newer source. The current campus page does not repeat those details. If a dedicated analytics lab, Bloomberg terminals, cafeteria service or a specific accommodation provider is central to your plans, ask for current access and operating details before relying on the old list.
Hostel and off-campus accommodation
IBS’s admissions FAQ says hostel accommodation is available only at IBS Hyderabad and IBS Jaipur; it says other campuses do not have hostel facilities and that campus administration can help students find nearby off-campus accommodation. IBS Mumbai is one of the campuses in the PGPM group, so applicants should plan on arranging housing outside the campus unless the admissions office confirms a change. The FAQ does not name current Mumbai brokers, verify any rental property, or state a campus housing guarantee. Treat any agent introduction as a lead to check independently, and confirm commute, deposit, lease length and utilities with the property provider.
The official Mumbai campus contact page places the campus at Hiranandani Knowledge Park, off Technology Street, Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, Mumbai 400076. The sources reviewed do not state travel times from particular neighbourhoods or public-transport routes. Compare housing after checking your expected class schedule and commute rather than relying on a general description of Powai connectivity. For current facility access, accommodation assistance and campus services, use the IBS Mumbai campus page and admissions FAQ or contact IBS Mumbai directly.
