IIHMR University scholarships: what the 2026–28 policy offers
IIHMR University’s published scholarship schedule covers MBA Hospital and Health Management, MBA Pharmaceutical Management, MBA Healthcare Analytics and the university’s Master of Public Health (MPH) for the 2026–28 academic session. It describes two different routes: fixed-value merit scholarships open across categories, and a limited number of full-tuition scholarships restricted to SC, ST, OBC-NC and EWS applicants. The university says awards depend on merit and availability; meeting a threshold does not secure funding. Scholarship Policy
Merit awards: score thresholds and limited seats
The policy lists 312 merit scholarships across the four programmes. Each award is ₹1,00,000 for MBA-HHM and MBA-Pharmaceutical Management, and ₹60,000 for MBA-Healthcare Analytics and MPH. The programme allocations are 150, 90, 36 and 36 respectively. Within those totals, the schedule divides available awards between General and SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS applicants: 90 and 60 for MBA-HHM; 54 and 36 for Pharmaceutical Management; 22 and 14 for Healthcare Analytics; and 22 and 14 for MPH. Those are counts in the policy, not a promise that every listed place will be filled or that a qualifying applicant will receive one. Scholarship Policy
Eligibility depends on programme, category and prior degree. The table below reproduces the minimum listed entrance-test percentile for CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, NMAT or ATMA. It is one of the policy’s stated eligibility criteria, not an admission cutoff or an award guarantee.
For all four programmes, the policy also lists a 55th percentile for General applicants and 50th percentile for SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS applicants under the “Percentile in CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/ATMA” column after the degree-specific columns. This is the threshold shown for that test route. The notice does not explain how it is applied when an applicant’s degree falls into more than one category, or how the criteria map to every other accepted examination. Confirm your exact degree classification and test with admissions before relying on a threshold. The policy says merit scholarships are awarded on meeting any one of its eligibility criteria and on a first-come, first-served basis. Scholarship Policy
Full-tuition awards: category eligibility and selection
The separate full-tuition schedule lists 12 scholarships: four for MBA-HHM, four for Pharmaceutical Management, two for Healthcare Analytics and two for MPH. For each programme, the university splits the awards between EWS and SC/ST/OBC-NC applicants, generally evenly. The listed per-student scholarship amounts are ₹8.20 lakh for MBA-HHM, ₹7.15 lakh for Pharmaceutical Management, ₹5.05 lakh for Healthcare Analytics and ₹4.30 lakh for MPH. These are the amounts printed in the 2026–28 scholarship schedule; check the current programme fee notice to understand how an award applies to the amount payable for your own intake. Scholarship Policy
The policy describes full-tuition scholarships as available to eligible SC, ST, OBC-NC and EWS students across MBA/MPH programmes, with selection based on a combined merit list prepared after all Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. Its separate table shows the limited programme allocation and the EWS versus SC/ST/OBC-NC split. The university’s wording therefore supports category eligibility plus competitive selection, not automatic reimbursement for every applicant in those categories. Scholarship Policy
Payment, preference and conditions
The terms notice says awards are limited and decided at the Admission Committee’s discretion. It gives preference, subject to the applicable criteria, to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS applicants, Kashmiri Migrants, and children or widows of Armed Forces personnel. It also says the scholarship amount is adjusted against the last instalments rather than disbursed directly to the student. Ask the university to confirm the instalment schedule and net payable amount in writing before accepting an offer. Scholarship Terms and Conditions
The university reserves the right to add, withdraw or modify scholarship criteria, amounts and counts, and says its decision on awards is final. The saved policy covers 2026–28; it does not establish that the same numbers or rules will apply to a later intake. Applicants should open the live scholarship notice and confirm programme, category documents, entrance-test mapping, GD-PI status, remaining award availability and fee adjustment with admissions. What to verify before applying
First identify the programme and whether you are seeking the fixed ₹1 lakh/₹60,000 merit award or a full-tuition award. Then map your qualifying degree to the table’s MBBS, BDS/AYUSH/BPT or other-bachelor’s column and check the matching category row. For full tuition, verify that your category is covered and that you complete every GD-PI stage used for the combined merit list. Finally, request written confirmation of availability and the amount that will be credited against later instalments. The policy provides no individual award probability, later-intake guarantee or assurance that a particular entrance score alone will result in funding.
