IIITDM Jabalpur’s fee page currently links three schedules under “Fee Structure 2026-27”: B.Tech./B.Des. for the 2026 batch, M.Tech./M.Des. for the 2026 batch, and Ph.D. for the 2026 batch. The institute expressly clarifies that amounts shown under “Semester Fees” are per semester. These are the latest schedules linked on the page reviewed on 5 November 2026, but they are still for the 2026 batch. They do not establish fees for a student entering in 2027-28.
The three tables use different totals and categories. For a useful comparison, keep the admission-time payment separate from recurring semester charges, read each category heading as printed, and treat mess advances as separate estimates or adjustments. No 2027-28 fee notice was found on the reviewed official page. Check the institute’s fee page and the schedule attached to your offer before paying.
The combined B.Tech./B.Des. schedule has an admission-time one-off total of ₹15,500 for both category columns. It includes admission, grade card, provisional certificate, alumni association subscription, ID card, career development fund, student welfare and a refundable caution money amount of ₹5,000. The schedule does not break that one-off total into programme-specific charges, so it should not be presented as an annual tuition amount.
The academic fee is ₹7,500 per semester for both columns: ₹3,000 gymkhana, ₹1,000 examination, ₹1,000 registration, ₹1,500 medical insurance plus PHC, and ₹1,000 internet and computer charge. Tuition and hostel are additional lines. The table labels the two columns Gen/OBC/EWS and PwD/SC/ST; it lists tuition as nil in the latter column, while hostel remains ₹11,000 each semester.
The schedule presents eight semesters. Its printed later-semester total is not a course-wide quotation: it excludes the first-semester admission payment and does not include the separate mess advance. Hostel fees include fan/electricity and hall-establishment charges; the note says cooler charges are extra. A ₹15,000 mess advance is to be deposited separately at physical reporting and adjusted as per actual. The document does not state a fixed final mess bill.
For the 2026 batch, M.Tech./M.Des. students have a one-time admission payment of ₹10,000 and academic fee of ₹7,500 per semester. Gen/OBC/EWS tuition is ₹50,000 in semesters I and II, then ₹60,000 in semesters III and IV. Hostel is ₹11,000 per semester. That gives the schedule’s printed combined semester amounts of ₹78,500, ₹68,500, ₹78,500 and ₹78,500 for Gen/OBC/EWS. The first includes the one-time charge; the later amounts do not.
The PwD/SC/ST column lists tuition as nil and hostel at ₹11,000 per semester. With the same academic fee and admission-time charge, its printed totals are ₹28,500 in semester I and ₹18,500 in each of semesters II-IV. Do not read nil tuition as a waiver of the academic fee, hostel, mess or other costs. The schedule’s note says the tuition exemption is for SC/ST candidates only; the combined column label should not be treated as proof that every group receives an identical waiver. Confirm eligibility with the institute.
The PG schedule includes an adjustable ₹20,000 mess advance, deposited separately at physical reporting. It says mess charges will be as per actual. A separate note says the PG married hostel and Rewa Residency, subject to room availability, are charged ₹5,000 per month plus electricity at actual. These hostel options should not be assumed available to every student or included in the standard ₹11,000 hostel line.
The Ph.D. 2026 batch schedule lists ₹13,500 as the admission-time one-off amount. Its academic fee is ₹7,500 per semester, and tuition is ₹20,600 per semester. The listed hostel amount is ₹11,000 per semester. The printed combined totals are ₹52,600 for semester I and ₹39,100 for each later semester, for ten semesters in the table.
The SC/ST column shows tuition exemption, not a full fee waiver: its printed total is ₹32,000 for semester I and ₹18,500 for each later semester. The first-semester amount includes the ₹13,500 admission payment; later-semester totals do not. The table labels the hostel line as “Unmarried Hostel Fees.” Its note says SC/ST candidates are exempt from tuition only and that a married hostel or Rewa Residency, if a room is available, costs ₹5,000 per month plus electricity at actual.
The Ph.D. table lists a separate ₹20,000 mess advance per semester, adjustable against actual charges and payable separately at physical reporting. This is not included in the printed A+B+C totals. Budget separately for mess, room eligibility, electricity, and any other charge not shown in the table; confirm the current amount with the institute before enrolment.
These totals are the institute’s printed combinations of one-time, academic, tuition and hostel charges. They are not all calculated on the same category basis, and they exclude the separately listed mess advances. Comparing only the first-semester total can overstate the recurring cost; comparing only tuition can understate the cash required at reporting. For PG, tuition changes after semester II, so multiplying the first-year amount across four semesters would be wrong. The official PDFs do not state that these values apply to other entry batches or guarantee hostel assignment.
Use the PDF that matches both the programme and entry batch: the UG, PG and Ph.D. schedules are separate. Ask the admissions or academic office for the latest written fee schedule if your offer is for 2027-28 or a later batch. Confirm the category and tuition-exemption rules in your own admission record, and ask whether the applicable hostel line and room type are available to you. Check how the mess advance is adjusted, what “as per actual” means for billing, and whether any extra charges or changes have been notified since the PDF was issued.
The institute’s page lists older batch schedules as well as 2026-27 documents. Do not substitute an older archive PDF merely because it is easier to find, and do not treat the common payment-page link as proof of a programme-specific fee. Save the schedule attached to your offer and payment receipt. This page records the 2026-27 documents as dated reference material; amounts for the 2027-28 intake remain unannounced in the official source reviewed.
