JIMS Rohini admission 2027-28: current status
JIMS Rohini’s public management-admissions pages are still labelled for 2026, and the dated GD-PI slot shown there was 16 June 2026. As checked on 6 November 2026, I could not verify a 2027-28 application deadline, interview calendar, test-score edition or updated intake from an official notice. Treat those details as unannounced, rather than carrying the 2026 schedule forward. Start from the institute’s online application page and confirm the cycle displayed in the form before paying or booking an interview.
The current course catalogue describes a two-year, full-time PGDM and two related autonomous diplomas: PGDM (International Business) and PGDM (Retail Management). This is useful for choosing which form and programme to check, but it does not establish that every 2026 intake number or eligibility rule will remain unchanged for 2027-28. JIMS has not published a reliable next-cycle deadline in the pages reviewed here; revisit the official admission landing page and the detailed procedure before submitting.
For this article, “2027-28” identifies the intended application edition. Published 2026 schedules and undated procedure pages are labelled as such below. They are reference points, not confirmed 2027 rules.
Eligibility: resolve the published percentage difference before applying
JIMS’ own pages do not give one consistent graduation threshold. Its admission page labelled “PGDM (MBA) Admissions 2026” says applicants need a bachelor’s degree of at least three years, or an equivalent qualification, in any discipline, with 50% aggregate. A separate JIMS admissions page labelled for 2026 says 60% (55% for SC/ST). The detailed procedure gives a programme-wise table: 55% in graduation for the flagship PGDM and 50% for PGDM-IB and PGDM-RM; it also says final-year students may apply. These statements are not interchangeable, and the official pages do not explain which threshold supersedes the others.
Before applying, choose the programme first and ask the admissions office to confirm the current cycle’s threshold, treatment of reserved-category candidates and whether a final-year applicant can submit provisional documents. Do not assume that the lowest published percentage is accepted, or that the higher figure applies to every programme. Keep the reply or current prospectus with your application record. Applicants with foreign or equivalent qualifications should also verify how JIMS evaluates recognition and percentage conversion; the pages reviewed do not provide a conversion formula.
The three autonomous routes named on the procedure page are PGDM, PGDM-IB and PGDM-RM. JIMS lists their current stated intakes as 180, 60 and 60 respectively, but those figures are not explicitly tied to the 2027-28 cycle. Confirm available seats and the programme-specific eligibility in the application form. The separate Fellowship Programme in Management is not covered by this PGDM admission process.
How the published selection score is divided
For its autonomous PGDM, PGDM-IB and PGDM-RM programmes, JIMS’ detailed procedure allocates 40% to an entrance test, 20% to qualifying-exam performance, 25% to the personal interview and 15% to the group discussion. The institution lists a valid score from MAT, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA or GMAT. It does not publish a 2027-28 score-year or test-validity window on the pages reviewed, so ask which examination editions it will accept before choosing a test date.
The weighting gives a useful planning order. Entrance performance is the largest single component, but the interview and GD together account for another 40% and graduation results for 20%. A high test score therefore does not replace the other stages. The published PI rubric splits its 25 marks evenly across appearance and body language, communication, general awareness, academic knowledge, and vision and commitment. The 15-mark GD rubric scores leadership, clarity and analytical ability, and communication. These are the published criteria, not a guarantee that each future panel will use an unchanged rubric.
The institute’s older mandatory disclosure shows cutoffs for batches 2021-23 through 2023-25, including different scales for CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA and CMAT. Those historical entries are not a current 2027 shortlisting threshold. Check the separate cutoff disclosures only as dated context, and do not use them to decide that a current score is sufficient.
Application steps and the interview-first route
The JIMS online page describes a five-step application flow: register, verify your email, complete the form online, pay the application fee and submit. The detailed procedure also mentions online, demand-draft and campus cash options and lists a ₹1,000 prospectus/application-form charge. Because that charge appears on a separate procedure page, verify the amount and accepted payment modes in the live 2027-28 form rather than treating the older instruction as a current payable total. Save the payment receipt and a copy of the submitted form.
JIMS also describes an “Elite Round” as an interview-first route for certain profiles. The page names academic toppers from Central Universities or Institutions of National Importance, qualified professionals such as CA, CS, ICWA or CFA holders, and applicants with 12-24 months of work experience. It says an eligible candidate can be invited to interview without first submitting a CAT, XAT or GMAT score, but any final offer is provisional and a valid entrance-test score must be supplied within seven days after the result declaration. The page does not attach this description to a specific 2027-28 cycle or provide the exact accepted-score window. Confirm that the route is active for your application and get the condition in writing before relying on it.
For GD and PI preparation, JIMS’ FAQ recommends beginning one to two months beforehand. It points candidates toward current-affairs reading, subject knowledge, mock discussions and a clear account of their goals and experience. That is preparation guidance, not an additional formal eligibility requirement.
Qualification awarded and what to verify next
The flagship course is formally named the Post Graduate Diploma in Management. JIMS states that AIU has granted the PGDM equivalence to an MBA degree; that equivalence should not be confused with a university awarding an MBA. The institute’s programme page also describes the PGDM as a two-year, full-time, AICTE-approved programme and lists NBA accreditation. Check the current approval and programme-specific status if these distinctions affect an employer, regulator or further-study application.
Before submitting, confirm five items in the current form or directly with the admissions office: the 2027-28 closing date; the percentage threshold for your chosen programme and category; the accepted exam and score edition; the current application charge and required documents; and whether the Elite Round is open to your profile. Then compare the two-year programme’s curriculum and full fee schedule with your budget. The official fee page currently gives a separate 2026-28 schedule, so this admission page does not treat that amount as a 2027-28 fee.
The main risk for applicants is not a complicated form; it is relying on stale or conflicting institute pages. Keep a dated copy of the live notice and your written clarification. If the application portal still presents only 2026 information, ask JIMS whether the 2027-28 process has opened before paying.
