LPU Online admission 2027-28: what is confirmed
LPU Online is the online-learning arm presented by Lovely Professional University. Its official catalogue lists online undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma options and gives its address at Block 32, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab. This page is about the separately listed LPU Online record and its online programmes; regular-campus admissions and the university’s separate distance-education site follow different routes. Choose the page labelled online before relying on a programme rule or deadline.
The current catalogue groups undergraduate and diploma programmes for applicants after Class 12 and postgraduate programmes for graduates. It lists options across management and commerce, computer applications, science and arts. That is a useful starting map, not a single admission rule for every course. The exact programme page controls eligibility, duration, fees, specialisations and selection requirements. For example, the MBA page describes a two-year, four-semester course and says batches begin every six months; do not apply those particulars to BCA, MA, MCA or a diploma.
As checked on 6 November 2026, the official recognition page says LPU Online is UGC-DEB entitled to offer online programmes and links an entitlement document for 2026-27. That supports the online-mode status for the listed period; it does not announce a 2027-28 admissions calendar. The pages reviewed here do not establish a future 2027 intake opening date, a common deadline, or a universal eligibility threshold. Treat those fields as unannounced unless the exact programme page or official notice supplies them.
Match the programme before checking eligibility
Start with the course catalogue, then open the exact programme page from lpuonline.com. LPU Online currently lists MBA, M.Com, BBA and Diploma in Business Administration under management and commerce; MCA, BCA and Diploma in Computer Applications under computer applications and IT; three M.Sc options; several M.A. subjects; and BA, as shown in its official catalogue. The programme pages can differ in academic entry requirements and duration. A Class 12 applicant should not assume the same subject or marks rule across all bachelor’s programmes, and a graduate should not assume that the MBA’s eligibility language applies to M.Com or an M.Sc.
Before starting an application, record the exact award name and mode, the current admission session, the eligibility text on that programme page, and any subject, qualification, marks, experience or document conditions it actually states. If the page does not specify one of these, contact admissions rather than filling the gap from a regular LPU prospectus, an old PDF or an aggregator. Keep a saved copy or screenshot of the relevant official page and note when you checked it; online pages can change during an admission cycle.
The current MBA page presents 12 specialisations. That choice is an MBA-specific feature, not a promise that every listed course has specialisation options. See the MBA programme page. Confirm the fee applicable to your nationality, study mode, programme and intake on the live course page before comparing totals. Do not treat a promotional amount or EMI message as the full payable amount without checking the selected payment option and terms.
Check UGC-DEB’s programme and session listing as well as the university recognition page. Online entitlement is programme-specific and year-specific, so verify the exact course and admission session rather than relying on a general university recognition claim.
Prepare the online application and DEB-ID
Use this sequence to keep the mode, course and session aligned. First, open the official LPU Online catalogue and select the programme page you intend to apply for. Second, confirm the programme is offered in online mode for the session you want and read that page’s eligibility and admissions instructions. Third, check the deadline and current fee on the same live programme page; the university’s important-dates page may present semester schedules separately from admission closing dates. Fourth, create or confirm your Academic Bank of Credits identity and DEB-ID as required by the University Grants Commission. Finally, follow the application link and document/payment instructions provided by the university for that exact intake.
The UGC notice linked from LPU Online says a student enrolling in an online or open-and-distance programme must register on the UGC-DEB portal using an ABC-ID to generate a unique DEB-ID, with an exception stated for foreign students. Treat the DEB-ID as a required enrolment step, not as an entrance test or a substitute for programme eligibility. If you are an international applicant, read the UGC notice and the programme’s own international-candidate instructions rather than assuming the domestic sequence applies unchanged.
The public pages reviewed for this article do not provide one complete universal checklist of documents or a stable application workflow for every programme. The exact portal form should therefore control which identity, academic and other records to upload. Before paying, check that the browser address belongs to the official lpuonline.com domain or an application destination linked from it, that the selected programme and session are correct, and that the amount and payment terms match the current programme page. Save the submitted form, payment confirmation and any admission communication. If an eligibility or document rule is unclear, contact the admissions team at [email protected] or 01824-520001; the site lists 01824-520500 for LMS, class and examination support.
Dates and what to verify after applying
The official important-dates page currently labels its new-admission calendar as Semester 1 for the August 2026 session. Its linked first-semester schedule directs applicants to the LPU Online website for the last date of new admissions; it does not give a single deadline in that PDF. The same schedule lists a 21 October 2026 induction date and separate live-class dates for its two batches. Those are historical, session-specific entries and should not be treated as a 2027-28 timetable.
There is also a deadline conflict on LPU’s own MBA pages: the current MBA page displays 7 November 2026, while the separate MBA page displays 12 September 2026. Since these are both official pages for the same MBA and cycle-era content, an applicant should not infer that one deadline applies to every programme or silently rely on the older page. Confirm the live application status in the official portal or with admissions before making a time-sensitive payment. No 2027-28 common deadline is established by the sources checked on 6 November 2026.
After enrolment, LPU’s schedule directs students to the LMS for e-learning material and for later date-sheet and examination information. The schedule warns that dates may change and says the actual examination date sheet is published through the LMS. Keep the admission email and student login details available, check the LMS and official notifications for updates, and use the programme page for course-specific onboarding. If an application is incomplete or the portal shows a different date from an information page, ask admissions to confirm the controlling session and retain that response before proceeding.
