Read the published admission guide below. Keep each programme, admission year and counselling-merit scale separate when interpreting historical figures.
Compare cutoffs for the same course, quota, category, domicile and round.
As checked on 6 November 2026, the official LPU Online pages reviewed for this guide do not publish a 2027-28 cutoff table with a required CAT percentile, entrance-test score, rank, or applicant-category threshold. That is the most useful answer for a student searching for a number: there is no official score figure here that can responsibly be quoted as the LPU Online cutoff. This is a limit in the information located, not proof that every programme admits every eligible applicant or that a future selection rule cannot be announced.
A cutoff and an eligibility rule answer different questions. Eligibility tells you which prior qualification or other conditions you must meet before your application can be considered. A cutoff is a score, rank, or merit boundary used to compare applications. The current Online MBA page describes a two-year, four-semester online programme and says batches start every six months. It is not a published MBA entrance-score or percentile table. A programme duration, semester count, or intake cadence cannot be converted into a cutoff.
The distinction matters because search pages often reuse the word “cutoff” for unrelated measures: a campus placement salary, a semester examination pass mark, a past CAT percentile for a regular MBA, or a minimum graduation percentage. None is automatically an LPU Online admission cutoff. Do not use a number unless the source identifies LPU Online, the exact programme, intake or academic year, selection stage, and score scale together.
LPU Online’s FAQ directs applicants to the programme-specific eligibility criteria in the prospectus and university website. It also provides an admissions email and telephone number for checking an applicant’s documents. That guidance points students to the exact course rule; it does not set one common score threshold for every online programme.
The official MBA brochure lists eligible prior qualifications for its Online MBA: a bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent, or completed Company Secretary, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost and Management Accountancy qualifications. In the eligibility statement shown in that brochure, no minimum aggregate percentage, CAT percentile, or other numeric entrance-score threshold is stated. Because eligibility wording and admissions conditions can change, treat the brochure as a source to compare with the current programme page and prospectus, not as a guarantee of the rule for every future intake.
The university prospectus says programme eligibility is set out under each programme’s details. Its general instructions also say applicants should check supplements, updates, corrigenda, and notices for current information; incomplete applications or submissions after stipulated dates may not be considered; and submitting an application or fee does not by itself guarantee admission. These are procedural cautions, not a published cutoff. The prospectus uses general language about an eligibility test, entrance test, group discussion, or interview “if applicable”; that conditional clause does not establish that any one of those stages applies to the Online MBA or all online programmes.
Start by selecting the exact LPU Online programme and specialization. The university has separate online course pages and also has regular-campus and distance-education admissions routes; a threshold found for another delivery mode or institution record is not a substitute for the online programme’s current terms. Confirm that the page names the online course you intend to apply for and note the academic session or intake to which its conditions apply.
Next, compare your qualification with that course’s current eligibility wording. For an Online MBA applicant, the brochure’s listed routes are a bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent, or one of the completed professional qualifications named above. The current course page or a newer official notice takes precedence if it changes those terms. Check whether the university states a minimum aggregate, a required subject, a test, an interview, or an exception for your specific qualification. If none is published, do not invent a percentage or infer a CAT requirement from a conventional full-time MBA.
Then ask admissions a narrow written question if any condition is unclear. Include the course name, specialization, intended intake, degree title, awarding institution, completion year, marks or grade format, and any professional qualification you want considered. Ask whether the qualification meets the stated entry requirement and whether any current test, interview, minimum marks, or programme-specific selection condition applies. The FAQ lists [email protected] and 01824 520001 for programme eligibility questions. Keep the reply and the dated official page or prospectus version you relied on.
Applicants awaiting a qualifying result should verify the applicable submission deadline before applying. The FAQ says such applicants may apply if they submit the qualifying result by the last date specified by the university. That is a document timing condition, not a score cutoff or a promise of admission. The prospectus also warns that missing eligibility documents can affect an application. Build time for document verification rather than treating an application acknowledgement as final confirmation.
Check the source before using it in a shortlist. A reliable cutoff record should identify all of the following: the online programme rather than a regular-campus course; the exact specialization if rules differ; the intake or academic year; the applicant category if applicable; the admission stage; and the metric, such as marks, percentile, rank, or test score. It should also state whether the number is a minimum eligibility condition, a shortlist boundary, a last admitted score, or a forecast. These measures are not interchangeable.
Treat third-party predictor ranges as estimates unless LPU Online publishes the underlying rule. A CAT percentile associated with a campus MBA, an entrance score from another university, or an online article about one specialization cannot establish a cutoff for this separate online-mode record. Similarly, the MBA brochure’s degree requirement should not be restated as a minimum percentage when no such number appears in the cited eligibility statement.
Before paying or submitting final documents, return to the current course page and official admissions notices. LPU’s prospectus asks applicants to read later updates and says that application submission alone does not guarantee admission. If the current programme page and a brochure appear inconsistent, ask admissions to confirm which dated instruction controls your intake and save the response. Until a programme-specific official score table is published, the accurate answer is that no numeric LPU Online cutoff was verified in the official material reviewed for this page. Check again when the university announces the intake conditions; do not plan around a guessed score.
