BITSAT 2027 registration had not been announced on the official admissions pages checked by 27 October 2026. The instructions below describe how the previous cycle worked where the official 2026 information was available; use the new brochure and live application portal for current dates, fees, form fields and correction rules.
Confirm the cycle before creating an account
The BITS Pilani admissions portal is the official starting point for BITSAT and First Degree applications. The 2026 First Degree cycle is closed. Its original Session 1 application deadline was 19 March 2026 at 5 pm, and Session 2 had a separate registration window from 20 April to 5 May 2026. Those dates are historical, not suggested 2027 deadlines.
Before starting a new application, read the current brochure to confirm that your Class 12 year and subject combination meet the admission conditions. The 2026 brochure had separate PCM eligibility for most B.E. and M.Sc. programmes and a PCM/PCB path for specified programmes. Choosing an allowed test subject did not waive the academic requirements for the programme. If the next brochure changes these rules, follow the new wording.
A careful application sequence
When the next cycle opens, use the admission link published from the official BITS website. Create and retain access to the account using an email address and mobile number that will remain available through the admission process. Enter your name, date of birth, board and academic information exactly as shown in your official records. Check whether the active form requests a photograph, signature, identity details, test-session selection or other uploads; the 2027 requirements must come from that form and brochure.
The 2026 process offered two test sessions and required a separate opt-in for Session 2. Applicants should not assume the same option or application sequence will return. If more than one session is offered in a later cycle, confirm whether it is selected during the first form or through a later portal window, whether a second fee applies, and what happens if a candidate has taken both sessions. Keep each acknowledgement and payment receipt.
Pay only through the official application portal and wait for its confirmation before treating the form as submitted. A bank debit by itself does not establish that the application was accepted. Download or save the final submitted form, transaction receipt and any confirmation screen. If the portal reports a payment or upload error, use the contact method listed in the current official notice and include the application reference and transaction details. Do not send card data or passwords over email.
Session selection and edit windows
The 2026 schedule listed an edit window on 21-22 March after the Session 1 application deadline. The existence of that period did not mean every field could be changed, and it did not replace the need to submit a correct form before the deadline. No 2027 correction window, editable-field list or schedule was present in the official material reviewed. Check the active portal announcement for the exact fields, dates and limits before relying on a correction facility.
If you are eligible for a particular subject route, make sure it aligns with your intended programmes. For the 2026 paper, candidates chose Mathematics or Biology for the final 40-question section; the brochure limited Biology to specified programmes. This test selection and the later programme-preference submission are different decisions. Read the current instructions carefully so that selecting a paper is not mistaken for selecting a campus or degree.
Application is followed by a separate admission form
For 2026, the admissions site asked candidates to submit Class 12 marks and programme preferences after the test. It listed 1 June 2026 at 11:55 pm as the deadline for this First Degree preference form. Candidates considered for offers had to monitor later notices and complete the offer acceptance and payment steps within the stated time. A successful BITSAT application therefore did not complete the whole admission sequence.
After applying, keep checking the official portal and registered email for the hall ticket, result, preference form and offer notices. Match every deadline to the current cycle and save proof of submission. Do not rely on messages from agents or unofficial accounts; BITS warns applicants about fraudulent admission claims and identifies its admissions website as the official source.
