NATA dates: what is confirmed and what is not
The latest official schedule in the material checked is for NATA 2026. As of 28 October 2026, every date in that schedule has passed, and the official NATA schedule and Council of Architecture material checked for this assignment did not provide a 2027 timetable. Do not use a guessed month, repeat a prior-year date as an announcement, or treat a coaching calendar as an official schedule. When the next cycle is published, use the official NATA portal and its current information brochure as the source of truth.
For 2026, online registration opened on 9 March. Phase 1 examinations were scheduled from 4 April through 13 June on designated Fridays and Saturdays. Phase 2 examinations were scheduled for 7 and 8 August. These are historical dates, useful for understanding the 2026 calendar, not for planning a future attempt.
How the 2026 rolling calendar worked
The 2026 portal did not use only one final application deadline for the entire Phase 1 period. Registration was tied to an upcoming weekend test. The schedule listed a closing time of 11:59 p.m. on Monday for a Friday examination and 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday for a Saturday examination. That meant a candidate needed to identify the intended session first, then read the deadline associated with that specific session. A general statement that “registration remained open until June” would have missed these earlier rolling cutoffs.
The correction calendar was similarly linked to the test day. The listed correction deadline was Tuesday for a Friday session and Wednesday for a Saturday session. A correction window is not a promise that every field can be changed, and this past calendar should not be used to infer what the next cycle will permit. In a live cycle, read the official instructions for permitted changes, supporting proof and the final save or confirmation step. Keep a copy of the submitted form and any corrected version.
Confirmed historical milestones
The schedule page also connected admit-card availability to the selected examination date, with release timing shown for the relevant weekday. Because the exact card date varied with the session, candidates should not rely on a single remembered release date. The portal’s current schedule and the applicant’s login are the right places to check the card for a chosen slot.
Phase choice affected the dates you could use
In the 2026 brochure, Phase 1 candidates could register for one test or at most two tests. Phase 2 was for candidates who had not appeared in Phase 1, and it allowed one Phase 2 test. A candidate could appear in only one phase. The phases therefore were not simply two interchangeable windows for retaking the same exam. Anyone applying in a future cycle should verify that year’s phase definitions and eligibility before selecting dates.
A practical calendar check is to record the intended date, the registration close for that weekday, the correction deadline, the admit-card timing, the test itself, and the expected result notice. Add the separate state or college admission calendar as another track. NATA dates do not automatically determine when a state B.Arch application opens or when choices must be filled.
Planning before a new schedule appears
If the next official schedule has not been released, prepare without converting a forecast into fact. Gather school or diploma records, identify target B.Arch programmes, and note each programme’s admission authority. Check which aptitude-test routes it accepts and whether there is a separate state application. You can also practise the 2026 format as a provisional study reference, but the next brochure must be checked before you treat its pattern, duration or number of attempts as current.
When dates are announced, compare the new brochure, schedule page and any later notice. If a later official notice changes a date, the later notice controls for its stated scope. Confirm whether a deadline is the form submission deadline, fee payment deadline, correction deadline or a state authority’s deadline; these are different events. Save the official notice or PDF and note its publication date so you can distinguish an amendment from an old schedule reposted online.
Where to verify
The official NATA schedule page contains the 2026 session dates, rolling registration and correction calendar, admit-card timing and result timetable. The NATA 2026 information brochure describes the 2026 phase and attempt rules. Both sources were checked for this page on 28 October 2026. The dates shown here are therefore plainly historical. No 2027 date is stated because no official 2027 schedule was located in the bounded source check.
Before acting in a later cycle, revisit those official pages and any linked CoA notice. The 2026 deadlines are not estimates of next year’s deadlines. Do not pay based on a copied social post or a coaching-site reminder when the portal’s current schedule is available. If the official pages conflict, follow the later official notice and contact the exam authority for a clarification rather than silently choosing the date that seems more convenient.
