Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University (SKRAU), Bikaner
State engineering aspirants, set this page aside. Rajasthan JET 2026 is not a B.Tech entrance exam. It never was. If you clicked here expecting REAP counselling dates or JEE Main cutoffs for RTU Kota, those live elsewhere. Rajasthan JET - the Joint Entrance Test - is the single-window gateway to undergraduate agriculture, horticulture, forestry, fisheries, dairy technology, food technology, and community science programmes across five state agricultural universities and multiple private colleges in Rajasthan.
The exam is conducted by Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University (SKRAU), Bikaner. The 2026 cycle is already well underway. Official notification dropped on 13 April 2026. Applications opened 18 April and the last date without late fee closed on 17 May 2026. The original exam date of 21 June 2026 (Sunday) was subsequently rescheduled - the examination will now be held on Saturday, 27 June 2026.
If you missed the regular application window, the portal remained open with a ₹500 late fee until 20 May 2026. If you missed that too, this cycle is closed for you. What follows covers everything from eligibility fine print to counselling fees, cut-off benchmarks, and the exact page where your admit card will appear in late June.
Rajasthan JET (Joint Entrance Test) is a state-level offline entrance exam for admission to undergraduate degree programmes in agriculture and allied sciences. The participating universities are:
Approved private universities in Rajasthan offering agriculture courses also admit students through JET scores. The exam is held once a year, always in offline mode using OMR sheets, and tests candidates across five subject areas - Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. You attempt only three of the five, based on your Class 12 stream.

The rescheduling from 21 June to 27 June was announced in late May 2026. Exam centres remain at Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur. Candidates can be assigned any of these centres regardless of preference.
The exam feeds into a wider range of programmes than most candidates realise. The following undergraduate courses are covered:
| Course | Duration | Key Eligibility Subject Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture | 4 years | Any combination of Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics |
| B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture | 4 years | Same as above |
| B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry | 4 years | Same as above |

| B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science / Home Science | 4 years | Same as above |
| B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Science) | 4 years | Same as above |
| B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) | 4 years | PCM only (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) |
| B.Tech. (Food Technology) | 4 years | PCM or PCB or PCMB or PCA |
For B.Tech. Dairy Technology, the candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and must attempt exactly those three subjects in the JET exam. Any deviation leads to disqualification at any stage, including physical document verification at the college.
The JET 2026 application fee was payable online only. It is non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable under any circumstances.
| Category | Application Fee |
|---|---|
| General / Other State candidates (including outside Rajasthan) | ₹1,925 + bank charges (if any) |
| SC / ST / EWS / OBC (NCL) / MBC (NCL) / SAP (40% and above disability) of Rajasthan | ₹1,595 + bank charges (if any) |
| Late fee (applicable 18-20 May 2026) | Additional ₹500 |
Online payment was accepted via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. No cash or demand draft was accepted.
Note that some third-party aggregator sites quote lower figures like ₹1,750/₹1,450 or ₹1,600/₹1,300; those are either outdated or speculative. The ₹1,925 and ₹1,595 figures are directly from the official SKRAU notification.
The official notification sets out eight distinct domicile criteria, educational qualifications, age limits, and subject combination rules. Here is what matters most:
Minimum 16 years, maximum 25 years as on 31 August 2026. Date of birth as recorded on the Secondary (Class 10) marksheet or competent authority certificate is considered authentic.
JET is open primarily to Rajasthan domicile candidates. The 50% seats in private universities are open to all candidates participating in JET 2026, regardless of domicile. Candidates who do not meet any domicile criterion are considered under the unreserved/general category and cannot claim caste-based reservation benefits, government college allotment, or application fee concessions.
The eight domicile criteria include: (i) holding a Rajasthan domicile certificate; (ii) having studied continuously for the last three years (Class 10, 11, 12) in recognised Rajasthan institutions; (iii) natural father/mother residing in Rajasthan for the last 10 years and candidate studying at least 5 years in Rajasthan during that period; (iv) being a bonafide resident of Rajasthan even if currently studying outside; (v) son/daughter of serving or retired Government of Rajasthan employee or All India Services officer of Rajasthan cadre; (vi) son/daughter of serving or retired Indian Defence Service personnel of Rajasthan origin; (vii) son/daughter of serving/retired para-military forces personnel of Rajasthan origin; (viii) son/daughter/wife of serving/retired Rajasthan Police personnel of Rajasthan origin. Each criterion requires specific documentary proof.
Rajasthan JET 2026 is an offline, OMR-based examination with a single question paper for all candidates. The question paper is bilingual (English and Hindi).
| Parameter | Detail |
|---|---|
| Mode | Offline (Pen and Paper, OMR sheet) |
| Duration | 2 hours (officially stated as 2 hours 10 minutes including initial formalities; exam timing 11:00 AM to 01:10 PM) |
| Total questions in booklet | 200 (5 subjects × 40 questions each) |
| Subjects in booklet | Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics |
| Questions per subject | 40 |
| Marks per correct answer | +4 |
| Negative marking per wrong answer | -1 |
| Unattempted questions | 0 marks |
| Maximum total marks | 800 (but candidates attempt only 3 subjects, so practical maximum 480) |
| Subjects to attempt | Any 3 out of 5, corresponding to Class 12 stream |
Crucially, the OMR sheet has five options per question: A, B, C, D, and E. If a candidate is not attempting a question, they must darken circle E. If circle E is not darkened and the question is left blank, it is treated as an unanswered question (which is acceptable; no negative marking). But if a wrong option among A-D is darkened, -1 applies. Darkening more than one option is treated as a wrong answer.
Merit list is prepared solely on marks obtained in JET. If any question is found ambiguous after the objection process, it is dropped and proportionate weightage is given based on the remaining questions in that subject.
The official syllabus covers Class 11 and 12 topics as per the Rajasthan Board and CBSE curriculum. The broad outline provided in the official booklet (Annexure-II) includes:
Agriculture: Agronomy and soil science, crop production (major crops of Rajasthan: wheat, rice, maize, bajra, gram, mustard), horticulture (propagation methods, important fruits and vegetables of Rajasthan), plant protection (insect pests, diseases, IPM), agricultural economics and extension, animal husbandry basics.
Physics: Mechanics (kinematics, laws of motion, work, energy, rotational motion), thermodynamics and kinetic theory, waves and oscillations, optics, electricity and magnetism, modern physics (dual nature, atomic models, semiconductors).
Chemistry: Basic concepts and atomic structure, chemical bonding and states of matter, thermodynamics and equilibrium, solutions and redox reactions, organic chemistry (functional groups, hydrocarbons, basic reactions), biochemistry and environmental chemistry.
Mathematics: Algebra (sets, relations, functions, quadratic equations, matrices, determinants), trigonometry, coordinate geometry, calculus (limits, continuity, differentiation, integration), vectors and probability.
Biology: Diversity of life, cell biology, genetics and evolution, plant physiology, human physiology, ecology and environment.

After the exam, SKRAU will release the provisional answer key along with the OMR sheet and question paper on the official portal, expected in early July 2026. Candidates can download their response sheet, cross-check answers, and estimate scores.
An objection window of approximately 2-4 days will follow. The fee for challenging a question in the answer key is ₹500 per question, payable online. If the objection is found valid by the expert committee, the fee is refunded. After reviewing all objections, the final answer key is published and the result is prepared based on it.
Results are expected in the fourth week of July 2026. Candidates can check scores by logging into the portal with their registration number and password. The scorecard displays subject-wise marks, total marks, and merit position.
Based on the Round 1 cut-off data from a recent JET counselling cycle, here are the score ranges for top government agriculture colleges (UR category, normal seats):
| College | UR Cut-off (Normal Seat) Range |
|---|---|
| College of Agriculture, Bikaner | 320.715 - 321.15 |
| College of Agriculture, Jodhpur | 319.869 - 323.842 |
| College of Agriculture, Kota | 316.843 - 317.381 |
| College of Agriculture, Fatehpur Shekhawati | 296.69 - 297.92 |
| College of Agriculture, Lalsot | 295.048 - 306.69 |
| College of Agriculture, Nagaur | 294.304 - 296.766 |
| College of Agriculture, Kumher-Bharatpur | 289.304 - 289.843 |
| College of Horticulture & Forestry, Jhalawar (Hort) | 275.792 - 279.638 |
| College of Agriculture, Navgaon Alwar | 272.869 - 271.536 |
| College of Agriculture, Sumerpur | 298.357 - 299.15 |
| College of Agriculture, Suwana-Bhilwara | 309.15 - 310.099 |
For context, a score above 300 (out of 480 practical maximum for three subjects) generally secures a seat in a top government agriculture college. Reserved category cut-offs are lower; for instance, SC cut-offs for these colleges range from roughly 225-280, ST from 140-280, and OBC from 275-310.
Dairy Technology and Food Technology programmes have substantially lower cut-offs, sometimes as low as 30-50 marks for certain categories, because the PCM subject combination is mandatory and the applicant pool is smaller.
These are Round 1 cut-offs from a prior year; the 2026 numbers will depend on exam difficulty and applicant volume. Use these as directional benchmarks only.
After the JET 2026 result, qualified candidates must register separately for online counselling. There is no automatic seat allocation.
If a candidate fails to deposit the balance, does not report to the allotted institution, or declines the seat, both ₹5,000 and ₹1,200 are forfeited.
Based on previous year schedules and official tentative timelines:
Note: The UG counselling timeline given above is tentative and has been drawn from SKRAU's counselling framework. The actual 2026 dates will be published on jetskrau2026.com after results. The PG counselling cycle is expected to start earlier, around September 2026.
All documents must be original, with two sets of self-attested photocopies.
