Start with the 2027-28 information booklet
The 2027-28 TG EAPCET information booklet and course-specific admission notifications have not been identified in the official material checked as of 27 October 2026. Eligibility depends on the stream and the programme selected. Do not assume that meeting a general entrance-test condition also satisfies the requirements for a particular B.E./B.Tech, agriculture, veterinary, horticulture, B.Pharmacy or Pharm.D course. Confirm the accepted qualifying subjects, age conditions, qualification year and required marks in the current documents.
The current examination is commonly searched as TS EAMCET but official pages use TG EAPCET/TGEAPCET. The exam is conducted by JNTU Hyderabad on behalf of TGCHE. The separate admissions portal sets out the counselling process and course-seat requirements; the 2026 detailed notification is a previous-cycle example.
Entrance eligibility and seat eligibility are distinct
An applicant may be permitted to sit an entrance test based on the exam booklet but still need to meet additional rules to receive a seat. For example, admission counselling can require a qualifying Intermediate or equivalent examination, minimum group-subject marks, Indian nationality, local/unreserved status, and certificates for any claimed category or special reservation. Programme-specific subject combinations also matter. The 2026 counselling notification explicitly described its admission thresholds and local-status conditions; those must be checked afresh for the relevant 2027 course and seat.
Do not treat a qualifying rank as a substitute for these conditions. Nor should students infer local status from current residence alone: the applicable government order and documentary tests control. If a candidate studied across more than one state, changed boards, is awaiting a qualifying result, or seeks a special category, they should read the official notification carefully and contact the help desk listed there when a rule is unclear.
Documents to prepare for verification
The exact checklist varies by candidate and phase. The 2026 user guide instructed candidates to provide hall-ticket and registration details for portal actions and described certificate verification through a booked help-line-centre slot. Depending on the current rules, candidates may need the entrance hall ticket and rank card, qualifying-examination records, study or residence records relevant to local status, transfer certificate, and valid category, income, EWS or special-category documents. Check the current annexures for originals, copies, certificate validity and issuing authority. A name or date-of-birth mismatch should be resolved before the deadline where possible.
For a category claim, verify that the certificate is in the accepted format and covers the relevant year. The 2026 guide mentions caste, income and EWS certificate application numbers in its portal workflow; that is not a guarantee that the same fields or process will apply in 2027.
How to verify your case
- Identify the course and stream, then use its current official booklet.
- Separate “eligible to write the test” from “eligible for this admission seat.”
- Check qualifying subjects and minimum marks using the correct category and course clause.
- Read local-area and reservation definitions from the admission notification and cited government orders.
- Match every claimed category to its required certificate and verification step.
- Recheck the latest official notice before paying or attending verification.
This is a planning guide, not an eligibility determination. Prior-cycle rules are included only to show what candidates must look for; do not use them as the final 2027-28 criteria.
