BIT Mesra’s published fee schedule is labelled 2026-27 and specifies charges for the 2026 batch. It is useful for comparing course cost structures, but it is not a quoted 2027-28 fee notice. The institute has not yet supplied a 2027-28 amount in this evidence set, so applicants should use the official fee page linked here and confirm the applicable schedule before accepting an offer or paying. The schedule’s approximate programme totals are not a complete personal budget: hostel charges are stated separately for most residential programmes, and transport, books, meals and personal expenses are not priced in the cited table.

Mesra B.Tech: programme groups have different rates

The 2026 batch table separates B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Electronics and Communication Engineering from other branches. For those three programmes at Mesra, each semester’s tuition is ₹1,69,000 in semesters 1-2, ₹1,85,000 in semesters 3-4, ₹2,04,000 in semesters 5-6 and ₹2,24,000 in semesters 7-8. Development fees rise across the same bands from ₹12,000 to ₹15,500 per semester, while the institute examination fee rises from ₹8,000 to ₹9,500. The resulting semester totals are ₹1,89,000, ₹2,06,500, ₹2,27,000 and ₹2,49,000 in those four pairs. The institute gives an approximate full-course expenditure of ₹17,88,000 for this fee group. At admission it lists ₹20,000 admission fee, ₹10,000 caution money and ₹15,000 IT and digital infrastructure charge, ₹45,000 together.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is priced separately: the semester totals are ₹1,85,500 for semesters 1-2, ₹2,02,000 for 3-4, ₹2,23,000 for 5-6 and ₹2,44,500 for 7-8, with an approximate total expenditure of ₹17,55,000. The institute groups Biotechnology, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Production and Food Technology together at ₹1,79,000, ₹1,97,000, ₹2,17,500 and ₹2,38,000 per semester across the same pairs, with an approximate total of ₹17,08,000. All three Mesra B.Tech schedules list the same ₹45,000 admission-time charges. These are meaningful differences when comparing branch choices; do not apply the CSE/AIML/ECE rate to every B.Tech department.

In the schedules, each semester total comprises tuition, development and institute examination fees. For example, in the first CSE/AIML/ECE semester, ₹1,69,000 + ₹12,000 + ₹8,000 equals ₹1,89,000. The institute’s approximate full-course total combines the fee schedule over the course and admission-time charges; students should still check whether a later revised schedule applies to their own batch. The 2026-27 schedule says hostel fees are extra and payable during registration each semester. It does not provide a hostel amount in these programme rows, so this page does not estimate residential cost.

Other Mesra programmes: duration changes the total

The main-campus B.Arch schedule spans ten semesters. Its semester totals are ₹1,79,000 for semesters 1-2, ₹1,94,000 for 3-4, ₹2,12,500 for 5-6, ₹2,33,000 for 7-8 and ₹2,54,500 for 9-10. The listed approximate course expenditure is ₹21,91,000. The schedule identifies tuition, development and examination charges within those totals and lists ₹45,000 at admission: ₹20,000 admission fee, ₹10,000 caution money and ₹15,000 for IT and digital infrastructure. Hostel fees are additional.

B.Pharm at Mesra is an eight-semester course in this schedule. Its four paired semester totals are ₹1,68,500, ₹1,85,000, ₹2,03,500 and ₹2,22,500, and the approximate expenditure is ₹16,04,000. Integrated M.Sc Mathematics and Computing/QEDS is listed over ten semesters at the Mesra main campus and off-campus Patna and Deoghar: the five paired totals are ₹75,500, ₹81,500, ₹89,500, ₹99,500 and ₹1,10,000, with approximate expenditure ₹9,57,000. The separate Integrated M.Sc Physics row for Mesra lists ₹72,000, ₹78,000, ₹85,500, ₹94,500 and ₹1,05,000 across five semester pairs, with approximate expenditure ₹9,15,000. These totals are not directly comparable as annual prices because programme lengths differ.

The 2026 batch table also lists four-year B.Sc Medical Lab Technology at Mesra: eight semester totals progress from ₹43,500 for semesters 1-2 to ₹50,000 for 7-8, with approximate expenditure ₹3,88,000. Bachelor of Hotel Management at Mesra has paired semester totals of ₹38,000, ₹42,000, ₹45,000 and ₹48,500, plus ₹30,000 in admission and caution charges; its approximate expenditure is ₹3,77,000. For these rows too, the table says hostel fees are extra. The approximate totals are institute figures, not a guarantee that every student will pay exactly that amount after individual adjustments.

Off-campus programmes need their own budget check

The institution gives a separate 2026 batch fee schedule for B.Tech CSE and AI/ML at its off campuses in Deoghar, Jaipur and Patna. Semester totals are ₹1,78,000 for semesters 1-2, ₹1,94,500 for 3-4, ₹2,15,000 for 5-6 and ₹2,34,500 for 7-8; approximate expenditure is ₹16,89,000. Its note says hostel fees are extra, but also specifically states that no hostel facilities are available at the Jaipur off campus. Applicants considering Jaipur should therefore arrange and price accommodation independently rather than treating the institute’s main-campus housing situation as applicable there.

The fee page covers multiple campuses and programme families, so confirm the exact campus and programme heading as well as the intake year. The current undergraduate catalogue lists Mesra B.Tech branches separately and identifies several other campus offerings; the campus name is part of the course choice, not a minor administrative detail. The fee source does not establish scholarship eligibility, refund amounts, mess charges or a 2027-28 revision. Check the admission notice and fee page for your own batch, ask the institute for written clarification on any amount absent from the table, and retain the fee demand and payment receipt. If you compare two offers, compare the same course duration and campus, then add the relevant one-time and living costs rather than comparing approximate course totals alone.
