CMC Ludhiana admission status for 2027-28
As checked on 1 November 2026, CMC Ludhiana’s official admissions page is still organised around the 2026 cycle. It lists MBBS, BDS and BPT notices through 30 October, including a BPT college-level counselling notice posted on 30 October for a session held on 31 October. BFUHS separately shows MBBS/BDS rounds and stray-round notices through 24 October. These are records of a past cycle, not an open date for a future applicant. I did not find a 2027-28 undergraduate prospectus, seat matrix or calendar in the official pages reviewed. Start with the CMC admissions index and BFUHS portal when the next cycle is announced; do not reuse a 2026 deadline or assume a 2026 vacancy remains available.
The 2026 route differed by course: MBBS and BDS used NEET-UG merit, while BPT used Class 12 board marks. Confirm the rule, category conditions and counselling calendar in the new course-specific notice before applying. CMC Admission notices · BFUHS MBBS/BDS notices.
Choose the course before choosing the route
For the 2026-27 undergraduate cycle, CMC’s bulletin said MBBS and BDS admission was based on eligibility and NEET-UG 2026 merit. BPT selection was based on Class 12 board marks under the applicable NCAHP rules. This is a course-specific distinction. A candidate for MBBS or BDS needed to follow NEET and the relevant counselling process; a BPT applicant needed to follow the board-mark and course notice. Do not carry the 2026 BPT selection method into a later session without a new notice.
CMC described BFUHS as Punjab’s state counselling authority and directed eligible MBBS, BDS and BPT applicants to apply through its portal. BFUHS publishes prospectuses, applications, choice-filling notices, merit lists, seat matrices, allotments and reporting instructions. CMC adds institution-specific category verification and reporting directions. So the practical process is not a single CMC form: read the CMC bulletin beside the BFUHS prospectus and follow the live notice for the same course and year. For 2026 MBBS/BDS, the CMC reporting instructions also directed applicants to read the NTA NEET bulletin and MCC information where applicable.
A sensible sequence is: confirm the course and eligibility; register for the required examination; apply to BFUHS when its portal opens; complete any CMC category or verification steps; submit course choices during the correct round; check the allotment; and report with original documents and fee records. Keep copies of submitted forms, choices and payments. A merit-list appearance, provisional allotment or Bible Test hall ticket is not final admission. CMC says admission remains subject to eligibility and document scrutiny; the counselling allotment and institution verification are separate checks.
CMC lists separate notices for postgraduate medical and dental, MPT, allied-health, GNM and nursing programmes. They do not share one institution-wide exam or application. Begin from the heading for your exact award and open its current prospectus. BFUHS prospectus list · NTA NEET-UG notices.
Open category and Christian minority service category
The 2026 CMC bulletin distinguished an open category from a Christian Minority with Service Commitment category. It said Indian nationals could apply in the open category irrespective of religion, caste or domicile, subject to course eligibility and the counselling rules. The minority category had extra steps; Christian identity alone did not complete the application. Applicants needed to identify the correct domicile group, obtain endorsement from a CMC Ludhiana Society member body, and submit church-membership, baptism and service-commitment documents. The bulletin also grouped minority MBBS/BDS seats by state and territory. Those groupings are part of the dated 2026 document, not a promise of the next seat matrix.
The Bible Test was a category screen, not a score used to prepare NEET merit. The 2026 instructions described a computer-based test with 50 English multiple-choice questions, three choices per question and no negative marking. Applicants needed to pass and score at least 40% to be considered under the service-commitment category. The bulletin said a lower score meant consideration only under the open category, and that Bible Test marks did not determine merit. CMC’s page records rescheduling notices in May and a later June date, showing why applicants must follow current notices instead of assuming an early calendar entry remains valid.
The service requirement is material. Under the 2026 bulletin, MBBS candidates in this category agreed to at least two years in CMC Ludhiana Society mission hospitals; BDS and BPT candidates agreed to at least one year. The bulletin required a notarized affidavit and completed service agreement at admission. This is a category obligation, not a general statement of mission or an automatic scholarship. Read the current agreement, ask how assignments are made and decide whether you can meet the term before applying through this category.
CMC states that admissions are merit-based and that it accepts no donations, has no paid seats and uses no agents. Treat a paid-seat promise as outside its official process. How the 2026 application and counselling sequence worked
For MBBS and BDS, the 2026 process began with NEET-UG eligibility and the BFUHS counselling application. Candidates then followed BFUHS notices for registration, choices, category and quota, merit, seat matrices, allotments and reporting. The schedule changed during the cycle. BFUHS published revised schedules, provisional and final allotments, Christian Minority merit lists, seat matrices and a stray-vacancy stage. Its portal shows stray-round notices on 15 October, provisional allocation notices on 22 and 23 October, and an allotment/reporting update on 24 October. These dates show the sequence only; they are not a 2027-28 calendar.
CMC posted late course-specific BPT notices as well. A notice posted 29 October set college-level counselling for 30 October; a revised notice posted 30 October set counselling for 31 October. The later notice said applicants needed to apply through the university portal. Candidates already registered for centralized counselling did not need to reapply, while a candidate shifting from a joined college needed original leaving-college certificates. The venue was the Registrar’s office, with counselling from 3 to 5 p.m. That date has passed; it is an example of a late vacancy process, not proof that seats are open now.
For the 2026 Christian Minority category, CMC required an additional application and verification process. Applicants submitted the BFUHS application and also completed CMC’s Bible Test application, with church membership, baptism and service-commitment papers. The bulletin warned that deficiencies could cancel category consideration and said submitted forms could not be changed. CMC later posted separate verification instructions for MBBS/BDS and BPT. Follow the notice for the exact course and round; a document accepted in one step may not automatically satisfy another.
Keep a notice log with the issuing authority, course, category, round, update date, deadline and whether a notice replaces an earlier one. Check BFUHS for counselling and CMC for institution verification and reporting. A revised schedule or vacancy list can change the next action even if the exam has already taken place. Documents to prepare after an allotment
CMC’s 2026 MBBS/BDS reporting sheet asked allotted candidates to bring original documents and the BFUHS allotment letter. Its list included the NEET admit card and scorecard; fee receipt; Class 10 date-of-birth certificate; Class 11 and 12 marksheets; character and behaviour certificates; migration certificate; domicile or residence proof under the BFUHS prospectus; parent or guardian declaration; Aadhaar copy; photographs; and student and parent anti-ragging certificates. It also named a college and hostel rules affidavit, a gap-year undertaking when applicable, caste certificate when applicable, and any exemption document under the prospectus. CMC says additional documents may be required, so this historical checklist is not exhaustive for a later intake.
Applicants using the Christian Minority with Service Commitment category needed additional originals: baptism certificate, church membership, service-commitment letter and service affidavit. The 2026 bulletin required the member-body letter to be signed by an authorized signatory. Keep these alongside the common school and counselling records. An uploaded scan does not replace an original when the notice requires scrutiny of originals.
The documents also show how the authorities divide the work. BFUHS issued the allotment and its fee receipt; CMC reviewed course and category documents; payment and joining remained subject to eligibility verification. The BFUHS portal notice said tuition payment could be made online only after the concerned college verified eligibility. Treat an allotment as a step toward joining, not as proof that every document has been accepted. Check the exact deadline, payment method, reporting slot and deposit in the notice, and retain proof of each step.
Assemble common records early, but wait for the new-cycle checklist before ordering certificates. Domicile rules, certificate issue dates, forms and reporting locations can change. The 2026 reporting sheet listed the Registrar’s office as the venue and gave 0161-2115381; confirm current contact details and office hours on the official page. Read seat numbers and ranks within scope
The CMC bulletin lists 100 MBBS seats, 40 BDS seats and 20 BPT seats for its 2026 document. MBBS and BDS allocations are divided among open, minority service, Punjab-reserved and NRI categories; minority medical and dental seats are further split by geographic group. BPT has its own category allocation. A total course intake is not the number available to one applicant. Check course, category, domicile, quota, counselling round and eligibility before comparing a rank or vacancy.
There is a source-label caveat: the bulletin cover and calendar say 2026, but the MBBS/BDS seat table is headed “Seat Distribution - 2025.” The row counts add to the stated course totals, yet the heading mismatch should be preserved. Do not silently relabel it as a confirmed 2026 or 2027-28 seat matrix. Check the cycle-specific BFUHS matrix and CMC category notice before locking choices.
BFUHS publishes merit lists, seat matrices, vacancy positions and allotments by round. A provisional list is not the same as final allotment, and a vacancy can change after surrender or upgradation. This article does not give a universal CMC closing rank because a usable comparison must match the applicant’s course, category and round. A previous-year result can help frame research, but it cannot guarantee a seat or replace the current counselling portal. BFUHS MBBS/BDS portal.
Other CMC programmes have separate notices
CMC’s 2026 admission index groups notices under MPT; UG MBBS/BDS/BPT; PG medical MD/MS; PG dental MDS; allied and healthcare courses; GNM; M.Sc. Nursing; B.Sc. Nursing; and super-specialty courses. This is a directory of different admission processes, not one common exam or form. Read the exact programme notice and confirm whether the application is handled by BFUHS, CMC or another authority. Do not apply the MBBS Bible Test or NEET steps to nursing or allied-health programmes unless their own notice says so. For PG medical and dental courses, confirm the exam and session named in the current notice.
As of 1 November 2026, the CMC page showed updates through late October for several programme groups. That means applicants should check the right programme heading through counselling and reporting, not just at the first application date. It does not prove every course had an open application or remaining seat on that date. The 2026 schedules are historical; use the new session’s dated notice.
Before acting, confirm five things: exact programme and academic year; required exam or board result; the authority accepting the application and choices; category documents; and fee/reporting window. If CMC, BFUHS and an older PDF differ, compare their dates and scope and ask the Registrar which instruction currently applies.
