HITSEEE 2027 dates and selection
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) has published a dated HITSEEE 2027 schedule for B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Des applicants. The application form is scheduled to be issued on 4 November 2026 and the last date to apply is 21 April 2027. The online examination is listed for 28 April to 3 May 2027, counselling for 12 to 19 May, and commencement of classes for July 2027. As of 2 November 2026, the form issue date is still two days away; check the official HITSEEE 2027 page for any change before submitting.
HITS describes HITSEEE as an online test that candidates can take from home on a device with a stable internet connection. The 2027 page specifies 120 questions, 120 marks and 120 minutes, with no negative marking. It divides the paper into four sections of 30 questions each: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and a combined English, General Knowledge, Value Education and Aptitude section. HITS says each candidate will receive the examination schedule by registered email. Keep access to that email and follow the portal’s instructions for the test session.
The page lists counselling dates but says to follow official announcements for rank and selection information, counselling, document verification and seat confirmation. It does not give a rank formula, cutoff, category-wise closing score or seat matrix. The published dates therefore help with planning, but do not predict admission. Recheck the portal before the application deadline and again when HITS issues selection instructions.
B.Tech eligibility
For most B.Tech programmes, the 2027 HITSEEE page requires a minimum 60% average in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying Plus Two or Intermediate examination, calculated using those three subjects. For B.Tech Biotechnology, it states a 60% average in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology (the page labels this as PCM/PCB). Because the wording does not explain how the alternative subject combination is calculated for every board, confirm the accepted subjects and average with admissions before applying.
The page gives a Cambridge route requiring Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at A Level and English at AS Level. It also sets a schooling condition for candidates who completed Class XII through NIOS: Class X must have been completed through regular schooling, or vice versa. The page does not list a separate relaxation for these thresholds; do not carry over different marks from HITS’s undated general eligibility page without checking the current programme notice.
B.Architecture and design
For B.Arch, the dated 2027 page requires Class XII or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and at least 50% aggregate. Applicants also need a valid score in either NATA, conducted by the Council of Architecture, or JEE Main Paper 2 (Architecture), conducted by the National Testing Agency. HITS says candidates must also satisfy the Council of Architecture and admitting-authority norms. Check which score session remains valid for the 2027 intake before registering for a test.
For B.Des, HITS specifies a minimum 60% aggregate in the qualifying Plus Two or Intermediate examination and accepts Science, Commerce, Arts or another stream. The page lists Gaming Design, Fashion and Apparel Design, and Communication Design among its B.Des options. It does not provide a separate selection formula or programme-wise seat count on the captured page.
Application route and age
HITS says Indian nationals residing in India can apply for HITSEEE 2027. Foreign and NRI applicants are directed to a separate application form rather than the HITSEEE route. The page also states that candidates must have attained 16 years and six months by 31 July of the calendar year in which their Class XII board examination is held. Applicants whose age or residency does not fit these descriptions should confirm the correct route with HITS before paying an application fee.
HITS’s main admissions homepage labels 2027 admissions for several other schools and programmes “Opening Soon.” It describes HITSCAT for non-engineering programmes, but the captured homepage does not provide their 2027 application dates or detailed eligibility. Do not apply the HITSEEE schedule or engineering thresholds to those courses; wait for the relevant school’s dated notice or contact the admissions office.
A conflict to resolve against the dated notice
HITS’s separate general eligibility page is undated and gives a different B.Tech threshold: 50% in the stated subjects together, 45% for reserved-category candidates, and at least 60% in Mathematics. Its HITSEEE description is also different: it gives a two-hour, 120-question paper covering Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, while the dated 2027 page lists four parts, including English, General Knowledge, Value Education and Aptitude. The general page says B.Arch candidates may take NATA or JEE without naming a paper; the 2027 page specifies JEE Main Paper 2 (Architecture). This guide follows the dated 2027 programme page for current-cycle details. The pages also state different kinds of age limits: the general page says an upper age of 19 as of 1 July, while the 2027 page says candidates must be at least 16 years and six months on 31 July of their Class XII board year. HITS does not explain whether both age rules apply; confirm this in writing if it affects your eligibility.
Before applying, save the dated notice and verify your exact programme, qualifying subjects, category documents, test session, application status, counselling requirements and fee/refund conditions. The official 2027 page supports the schedule and minimum criteria above; it does not publish cutoffs or guarantee a seat based on meeting the minimum marks.
