Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) directs applicants to its admission portal for programme fee information. The official documents cited here explain the 2026–27 payment policy and show a historical 2024–25 fee schedule, but they do not establish a programme fee for the 2027–28 intake. Use the current prospectus for a quote rather than projecting an older amount forward.
HITS’ June 2026 public self-disclosure lists 11 B.Tech branches under its School of Engineering and Technology: Aeronautical, Aerospace, Automobile, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Information Technology, Mechanical, and Mechatronics. The same disclosure lists Architecture, Communication Design, and Fashion and Apparel Design under the School of Planning, Architecture and Design Excellence (SPADE). This is the list shown in that disclosure, not a claim that these are HITS’ only degrees or the full programme catalogue.
Confirm that the exact branch or design specialisation is open for the year you plan to join. The public self-disclosure points applicants to the application portal for the prospectus and programme details. Programme names can be similar across schools, so request the schedule for the exact degree, specialisation, and campus before comparing amounts.
The HITS University Handbook 2026–27 says the fee guidelines are subject to an annual 5–10% revision, subject to approval by the Finance Committee and Executive Council. Approved tuition is payable each year before the odd semester begins. The 5–10% statement is a revision guideline, not a calculation formula: without a current programme fee, it cannot be applied to an older amount to produce a valid quote.
The handbook describes several charges separately. Treat them as separate lines to verify, not as a single tuition number:
The handbook gives payment through the university’s ERP link, including card, net-banking, UPI, and wallet options, and payment by demand draft to the HITS Accounts Department. It says fees must be paid by the prescribed date for students to be eligible to attend classes. Confirm the live payment method, deadline, and receipt requirements with the current portal or Accounts Department before remitting money. Save the prospectus version, fee notice, and payment receipt for the same admission year; a general handbook policy does not replace the batch-specific schedule.
Hostel commitments deserve a separate check before booking. The handbook says accommodation is allotted by room category and charged for the full academic year even if a student joins or leaves later. It expects a minimum one-academic-year stay; leaving earlier can forfeit establishment charges, caution deposit, and fees paid. It also says a student who pays to reserve a hostel place cannot later claim a refund by cancelling, and tuition and hostel fees cannot be adjusted against each other. Ask for the room-category amount, deposit, cancellation terms, and written refund conditions before accepting a hostel allotment. If you may commute or leave campus during the year, compare the full-year hostel commitment with the transport charge and confirm which room services are actually included in the allocated category. Do not assume that leaving early stops the annual charge or returns a deposit.
HITS’ Mandatory Disclosure 2025–26 contains a section titled “The fee structure for the academic year 2024-2025.” It lists ₹2,72,000 for B.Tech Computer Science Engineering and ₹2,23,000 for B.Tech Civil Engineering. These figures belong to the 2024–25 schedule, even though the disclosure file itself is titled 2025–26.
The table labels its rupee column “FEE (Rs.)” but does not define in that table whether each amount is per year, per semester, tuition-only, or the full programme total. It therefore cannot support an annual or full-course-cost comparison. The handbook’s annual tuition-payment rule does not fill in that missing basis for a separate historical schedule. Do not use these figures as a 2026–27 or 2027–28 quote, or add hostel and other charges to them as if their fee basis were known.
HITS’ June 2026 public self-disclosure identifies the application portal as the place to find the prospectus, including fee structures for different programmes. Use the prospectus for your exact intake and ask for a written statement that separates tuition, hostel by room type, transport, deposits, examinations, and other mandatory charges. Check the payment period and refund/cancellation conditions, especially if you are comparing a day-scholar place with hostel accommodation. Ask the admissions team to confirm whether quoted figures are annual, semester-wise, or for the complete programme; request a separate total for any mandatory one-time charges and an itemised hostel amount. Keep the answer in writing so you can compare the same basis across programmes.
The cited official documents do not establish a current programme-level fee for the 2027–28 intake. Recheck the portal when the prospectus for that intake is available. Do not treat the annual revision guideline as a forecast or as a substitute for HITS’ approved schedule.
