The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade’s 2027-29 prospectus does not state a final programme-fee total for the incoming MBA-IB batch. It says the amount applicable to the batch will be communicated with offer letters. The same document gives ₹19.73 lakh as the MBA-IB total for the earlier 2026-28 batch, and lists Delhi hostel and mess charges separately. Treat the earlier total as a comparison, not as a confirmed 2027-29 bill. The prospectus does not give a separate MBA-BA 2027-29 total in the fee details reviewed here. IIFT 2027-29 Prospectus · IIFT Admissions 2027
For applicants comparing MBA-International Business (MBA-IB) and MBA-Business Analytics (MBA-BA), the central planning point is that a confirmed 2027-29 programme total is not yet available in this prospectus. Do not enter the older ₹19.73 lakh figure into a current budget as though it were the amount due from the next cohort. Wait for the offer letter or a later official fee notice to establish the actual amount, payment dates and refund rules.
The application charge is separate from tuition. For the 2027-29 application, the prospectus lists ₹3,000 for MBA-IB and ₹2,000 for MBA-BA for General, OBC-NCL and EWS applicants. It lists ₹1,500 and ₹1,000 respectively for SC, ST, PwD and transgender applicants, and says the application fee is non-refundable. These amounts pay for the application process; they should not be added to or confused with the programme total when comparing tuition schedules.
The prospectus gives ₹19.73 lakh as the MBA-IB total for the 2026-28 batch across campuses. It lists tuition and charges associated with library, computer and internet facilities, medical insurance, alumni and student bodies. The document uses the previous batch as a reference while stating that the incoming 2027-29 fee will be notified with offer letters. The total is therefore useful as recent historical context, but it is not a binding current quote.
When an offer arrives, compare the new schedule with the actual charges included in the older total. Check whether tuition, insurance, student-body charges and other listed components remain grouped together or have been separated. A similarly named “programme fee” can have a different included-cost basis across batches, so a headline amount alone is not enough to compare the two editions.
The prospectus gives Delhi hostel and mess charges separately from the programme total. Its listed annual charges are ₹1.35 lakh for double occupancy, ₹1.08 lakh for triple occupancy and ₹1.06 lakh for single occupancy. It also lists a ₹10,000 refundable security deposit. These are annual accommodation figures, not a single two-year amount; multiply only after confirming how many billed years and which room allocation apply to you. Availability and final room allocation should be confirmed with the institute.
The prospectus states that MBA-IB at Delhi is residential and gives a 50% tuition-fee concession for SC, ST and PwD students. The concession applies to tuition, not automatically to hostel, mess, deposits or every other charge. Ask the institute for an itemised offer-specific statement so that the eligible tuition component and non-tuition charges remain distinct. The current IIFT FAQ describes MBA-BA as non-residential, unlike MBA-IB, so do not automatically add the MBA-IB hostel schedule to an MBA-BA budget. Confirm the current arrangement and any optional accommodation with admissions.
Living expenses, travel, personal devices and other day-to-day costs are not established as part of the stated programme total in the fee information summarized here. A personal budget should show these separately instead of silently treating them as included. The Delhi campus is in the Qutab Institutional Area; students arranging their own housing should check current commute routes and rental costs against their actual address.
IIFT’s 2027-29 prospectus describes a merit-cum-means scholarship under which 20% of programme tuition is disbursed to 10% of admitted students in full-time or regular programmes. It says applicants must have annual family income below ₹8 lakh and that the income ceiling may be revised. This is a limited scheme with an application and selection process, not a guaranteed reduction for every eligible student. Do not subtract a scholarship from the gross fee before the award is confirmed.
The prospectus also names central scholarship routes through the National Scholarship Portal and an Exim Bank scholarship for a reserved-category topper, subject to its stated first-year tuition ceiling of ₹3.5 lakh. Each route has its own eligibility, documents, timing and award conditions. Verify current government rules and the institute’s application process; a reference to a scholarship in a prospectus does not establish individual eligibility or receipt. National Scholarship Portal
For each programme, request the current total, an instalment calendar, refundable and non-refundable amounts, residential requirements, mess charges, room availability and withdrawal/refund conditions. Ask whether any payment becomes due before a scholarship decision. Keep the application fee separate from the tuition calculation, and separate tuition from hostel, mess, security deposit and personal living expenses.
The closest published MBA-IB comparison is ₹19.73 lakh for 2026-28, plus separately listed accommodation charges. The 2027-29 programme fee remains to be issued with offers; the source reviewed does not establish a separate MBA-BA total for that intake. Until the new schedule is published, any exact 2027-29 net-cost estimate would require assumptions. Use the official offer and current notices as the controlling sources rather than extrapolating a previous batch’s fee or assuming that accommodation and scholarships apply uniformly to both programmes.
