For the Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), the latest cohort-specific fee table reviewed is for 2026–28. It lists total programme fees of ₹20,08,000, excluding the one-time caution deposit, boarding charges and medical insurance. The total is a two-year figure, not an annual charge, and the source identifies the programme as PGP. Do not apply it to MBA Public Policy and Governance, executive education or a future PGP batch without that programme’s own fee notice.
The fee table gives year-wise totals of ₹10,37,500 for year one and ₹9,70,500 for year two. The amounts reconcile to ₹20,08,000. This is helpful for comparing the published academic and lodging charges, but it is not a complete cost-of-attendance estimate: students must also plan for meals, insurance, the caution deposit and personal expenses that the table does not price.
In year one, the table lists ₹9,41,000 in academic fees and ₹70,500 in lodging charges. It separately includes a ₹7,000 rural-immersion module, ₹7,000 in student-association fees and ₹12,000 for alumni activities. Together, those five heads make the published first-year total of ₹10,37,500. The first-year term entries are also shown separately, so applicants can see when the amounts are due rather than treating the entire programme total as payable at admission.
For year two, academic fees are ₹9,00,000 and lodging is ₹70,500, for a published second-year total of ₹9,70,500. The page divides these costs across terms four, five and six. Adding the two annual totals reproduces the stated two-year programme total. This arithmetic check is useful because it makes clear that academic fees and lodging form the main recurring charges while some additional student and programme heads are concentrated in year one.
The table describes accommodation as twin-sharing. That is a room arrangement, not a price for all residential or meal costs. The specific lodging charge is included in the PGP total, while mess is billed separately. The table does not give a final personal budget for travel, books, laundry, daily spending or individual needs, and it does not say that those costs are included in academic fees.
The PGP fee page lists a ₹30,000 one-time caution deposit, payable separately at registration. It does not include that deposit in the ₹20.08 lakh total. The deposit’s refund conditions are not stated in this fee table; students should read the relevant rules and payment instructions before treating it as refundable or spending it in a budget.
Mess charges are listed at ₹16,620 per trimester. Since the year-wise table runs from the first through the sixth term, students should plan for a separate meal payment in each applicable term and confirm the current invoice schedule. The page lists medical insurance at ₹1,500 per year. These figures are separate from the headline PGP fee total because that total explicitly excludes boarding and insurance. The amount billed can also depend on the institution’s applicable payment instructions, so the official fee page and invoices should control.
The admission policy says the offer-acceptance payment is ₹1,00,000 and is adjusted against first-term fees. It is an advance credit within the payment schedule, not an extra fee to add on top of the ₹20,08,000 programme total. The fee table says term-wise amounts are payable at the beginning of each term. A family planning cash flow should therefore distinguish the advance paid to accept an offer from the remaining first-term balance and later term payments.
IIM Raipur’s older PGP 2025–27 PDF lists a total of ₹20,00,000, excluding caution deposit, boarding and medical insurance. It is a different batch schedule from the 2026–28 table. The ₹8,000 difference between those published totals should not be treated as a complete measure of year-on-year cost change: line items also changed, and both totals exclude important charges. The older general Fee Structure page still shows a PGP 2024–26 schedule, so applicants should prefer the page or PDF that names their exact cohort over a generic page title.
Before comparing IIM Raipur with another offer, check whether both figures cover the same period and charge heads. A programme total that includes lodging but excludes food is not directly comparable with a tuition-only figure or a total that includes mess. Separate the academic charge, lodging, one-time deposit, mess and insurance, and record whether each amount is annual, per term or for the complete programme. Do not subtract a scholarship or loan from the published total unless the award is confirmed for the exact student and programme.
Use the ₹20.08 lakh total as a baseline for the specified PGP 2026–28 fee schedule, then add the separately stated meal, insurance and caution amounts. Keep a contingency for personal spending and any revisions. The institute expressly reserves the right to change fees, and the 2026–28 amounts are not a confirmed price for a later batch.
Before paying, save the cohort-specific schedule and check each demand notice against the published term. Verify the ₹1 lakh acceptance credit, the balance due at registration, the separate caution deposit, and the dates for later term instalments. If a bill or offer letter presents a figure that differs from the table, ask the admissions or accounts office for a written explanation before assuming that the older or generic schedule applies. For financing, compare the repayment timeline with the dates of tuition and living costs; a loan approval does not change which charges the institute has included in its total.
The published schedule does not establish a guaranteed scholarship for every MBA student, an individual refund amount or a personal total cost. The institute’s scholarship and financial-assistance information should be checked separately because doctoral research support and external category-based schemes do not automatically reduce the flagship MBA fee. The safest current comparison is therefore the exact programme and batch total plus separately labelled excluded charges, with unknown personal costs kept visible rather than hidden inside a single headline number.
