IIM Raipur Indian Institute of Management (IIM Raipur) in Chhattisgarh has historical cutoff records for CAT on this page. There is no single cutoff for the whole college: read each course, category, quota and round separately. Coverage below reflects the records on this page.
The latest recorded year is 2025. 1 record in that group cover 1 named category. Across the available years, 2 distinct course labels are recorded.

IIM Raipur publishes different admission routes and cutoff documents for different programmes. The available official notices here cover the 2025 flagship MBA process using CAT 2024 and the 2026–28 MBA in Public Policy (MBA-PPG) process. They are not one common cutoff table. Neither notice is a confirmed threshold for a later intake, and a minimum used to shortlist candidates for an interview is not the same thing as a final admission score.
For the flagship MBA, IIM Raipur’s MBA 2025 admission notice labels the figures as CAT 2024 total-percentile cutoffs for the GD and PI process. It lists General 96, General-EWS 90.02, NC-OBC 86.84, SC 65.05 and ST 56.69. The notice also has separate PwD entries. These are historical shortlisting figures for the MBA 2025 process, not the CAT score needed for admission in the 2026–28 or any later batch. The institute’s 2026–28 MBA policy uses CAT 2025 and a separate JAP process; candidates should use that policy for the later cycle rather than carry forward the 2025 cutoffs.
The label matters. A candidate can clear a published CAT percentile threshold and still need to satisfy other application conditions, register through the stated process, receive a shortlist, attend the interview and meet the institute’s post-interview evaluation. Conversely, an old cutoff cannot tell a candidate whether a future cycle will use the same exam year, score conversion, category treatment or number of applicants. Treat these numbers as a historical reference point only.
The official announcements index identifies a cutoff-percentile notice for the MBA in Public Policy (MBA-PPG) 2026–28 intake. The linked category-wise notice is headed as minimum and highest category-wise cutoffs for shortlisting to GD and PI. Its rows report a minimum and highest percentile, respectively: General 74.09 and 99.36; General-EWS 72.30 and 93.77; NC-OBC 73.94 and 96.53; SC 58.18 and 94.25; and ST 4.30 and 82.84.
The very low ST minimum is printed as 4.30 in the official notice. Because it differs sharply from the other reported category minima, applicants should confirm that figure with the institute before relying on it. This page preserves the published value rather than silently correcting it or assuming it is a typographical error. The minimum/highest columns describe the spread of the shortlisted group as presented in the notice; they are not promised admission scores or a recommended target.
MBA-PPG is not the flagship MBA route with a different label. Its 2026–28 admission policy states separate conditions, including Chhattisgarh domicile, a separate reservation framework for the programme, and acceptance of CAT 2023, CAT 2024 or CAT 2025. Its shortlisting and final merit calculation also differ from the flagship MBA policy. A candidate should therefore compare a PPG cutoff only with the PPG eligibility and selection process, not with the flagship MBA’s CAT 2024 shortlist table.
Before using a number, check four labels in the original notice: programme, admission batch, exam year and selection stage. A cutoff that says “GD and PI” is a screening reference for that stage. It does not state that every candidate above it was interviewed, that every interviewed candidate received an offer, or that crossing it guarantees admission. Category, PwD status, eligibility, application completion and the process for that specific year remain relevant.
Do not compare the flagship 96 percentile from the CAT 2024 notice directly with the MBA-PPG 74.09 figure as if one programme is easier to enter. The notices describe different courses, exam-year rules and applicant pools; the PPG table also reports both a minimum and highest value among shortlists. They do not provide a controlled comparison of admission chances. The 2026–28 flagship process uses CAT 2025 and a common JAP first stage, while MBA-PPG has its own published policy and separate category-wise shortlist notice.
For a future intake, wait for the institute’s official policy and notice naming that batch. Confirm whether the number is an overall CAT percentile, a sectional threshold, a shortlist minimum, or a final merit component. Also check the category row and any separate PwD treatment in the source document. If a printed value is unclear or surprising, ask Admissions rather than extrapolating from an older notice or a coaching-site estimate.
Applicants should also preserve the original notice alongside any score calculation they make. A percentile is not the same as a raw CAT score, and a shortlist threshold may be only one part of a broader decision process. IIM Raipur’s flagship 2026–28 policy describes a final evaluation after the common JAP interview; the MBA-PPG notice instead describes the GD/PI shortlist and links to a programme-specific admission policy. Those documents answer different questions. If the institute publishes a revised notice or clarification, the later official document should take precedence for that cycle.
