IIM Udaipur Admission: 2027-28 routes and the latest MBA policy
As of 4 November 2026, application windows are open for IIM Udaipur’s 2027-28 Digital Enterprise Management, Global Supply Chain Management and Executive MBA programmes. For both one-year full-time MBA tracks, the first application cycle is scheduled to close on 23 November 2026. The regular two-year MBA page still presents its 2026-28 batch policy; the Institute has not posted a later two-year batch policy on that page in the material checked. These programmes have different work-experience rules, tests and timelines, so use the programme-specific route below rather than treating “IIMU admission” as one application.
The current-cycle dates can change. Before paying an application fee, reopen the relevant official admissions and dates page linked in each section.
Two-year MBA: the posted 2026-28 policy is a prior-cycle reference
IIM Udaipur’s current two-year MBA policy page identifies the 16th batch as 2026-28 and says its process uses CAT, an online registration invitation, personal-interview shortlisting and a final merit list. This is a dated policy, not confirmation that applications for a new two-year batch are open. The page says the Institute may modify selection criteria and cut-offs during the admission procedure. Check the official MBA admissions page for a newly announced batch before applying.
For that 2026-28 cohort, the initial published CAT percentile thresholds for being considered for the PI process were:
Meeting these numbers was not an interview call or an admission offer. Eligible candidates were asked to register after CAT results; IIMU then shortlisted registered candidates using their CAT 2025 score and profile, including Class 10, Class 12, graduation, work experience and gender-diversity information. Candidates invited to PI had to submit the IIMU application, confirm attendance and give at least three PI-location preferences. The policy listed Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and the Udaipur campus, with the Institute retaining the final centre allocation.
For the final 2026-28 merit list, the policy weighted normalized CAT score at 55%, PI at 25% and profile at 20%. The profile component was split into academics (6), work experience (6) and diversity (8). The normalized score uses CAT score, not percentile: the policy defines it relative to the maximum CAT score among candidates who applied to IIMU and attended PI. The listed thresholds are therefore screening criteria for that cycle, not a reliable prediction of a future shortlist or an individual’s admission chance.
One-year Digital Enterprise Management and Global Supply Chain Management
Both full-time one-year MBA programmes publish domestic eligibility rules for their 2027-28 cycle. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% or equivalent CGPA, reduced to 45% for SC, ST and PwD applicants; at least three years of bachelor-level education after higher secondary school; and 36 months of full-time remunerative work experience after graduation by 28 February 2027. Accepted tests are centre-based GMAT (10th Edition or Focus Edition), centre-based GRE taken within the previous five years, or CAT taken in 2022 or later. Meeting these conditions makes an application eligible for consideration, not guaranteed an interview or offer.
The two pages show results for Cycle 1 on 22 December 2026, Cycle 2 on 31 January 2027 and Cycle 3 on 17 February 2027. They say dates may change, candidates may be waitlisted in a cycle, and the final date for granting admission in the academic year is 15 March. Apply on the relevant programme page and confirm the cycle is still open before submitting.
The application fee shown for each is ₹2,000 and non-refundable. Shortlisted applicants are invited to a personal interview; offers follow a comprehensive assessment of the applicant’s profile and selection performance. Have the test scorecard, school and university transcripts, degree certificate and employer experience records ready. Both pages ask for an SOP of no more than 2,500 characters. Programme-specific score reporting differs: DEM lists GMAT code SPW-HC-86, while GSCM lists SPW-HC-48; the GRE institution code is 4678 for both. CAT scorecard submission is not required by either page.
Executive MBA: four 2027-28 application cycles
The EMBA is a separate route for working professionals. For the 2027-28 academic year, IIMU requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST and PwD applicants), a minimum three-year bachelor’s education after higher secondary school, and at least 36 months of full-time remunerative work experience after graduation as of 20 May 2027.
Applicants may use a GMAT, GMAT Focus, GRE score from the preceding five years, CAT from 2022 onward, or the IIMU Test. Candidates with one of the listed GMAT/GRE/CAT scores do not need the IIMU Test. The Institute describes the test as an online, 120-minute multiple-choice examination covering verbal ability and reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and quantitative ability and data interpretation. The scheduled IIMU Test is 15 November 2026, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.; the page says additional test dates will be notified to applicants.
The application fee is ₹1,000, non-refundable. The IIMU Test fee is another ₹1,000 when applicable. Shortlisted applicants have an online personal interview; the offer considers academic profile, work experience, test score and interview performance. The published last date for granting admission is 7 May 2027, and the page cautions that dates may change. Use the official EMBA admissions page for updates and the application route.
BBA and the new Investment and Wealth Management MBA
The BBA admissions page is explicitly labelled Regular Admissions 2026 — Closed / For Reference. It says the regular application window ended on 30 June 2026, with late applications handled under a separate 1–31 July 2026 process. The page describes Class XII completion and document verification, with no separate entrance examination for that 2026 cycle. It does not establish a 2027 application window; wait for a new notice rather than reusing those dates or fees.
IIM Udaipur announced a one-year full-time residential MBA in Investment and Wealth Management (IWM) on 21 October 2026. The launch notice says the programme was co-created with industry partners and includes a one-month industry immersion. That announcement is not an admission notice: it does not give eligibility, accepted tests, application dates or a selection process. The Institute points readers to iwm.iimu.ac.in for programme information; confirm that a dated admission notice is available before treating the programme as open.
Before you apply
- Choose the exact programme first. The two-year MBA, DEM, GSCM, EMBA, BBA and IWM do not share one eligibility or application form.
- Check the programme’s own admissions and dates pages on the day you apply. DEM and GSCM show a first-cycle deadline of 23 November 2026; EMBA Cycle 1 closes 15 December 2026. Dates may change.
- Match your work-experience calculation to the correct cut-off date: 28 February 2027 for DEM/GSCM and 20 May 2027 for EMBA.
- Keep test scores, degree and school transcripts, and work-experience documents ready. DEM and GSCM also ask for an SOP capped at 2,500 characters.
- Treat the two-year MBA’s 2026-28 CAT thresholds as historical. The policy does not establish next-batch criteria or a future cut-off.
For current forms, start from the programme-specific official links above. An eligibility threshold or completed application is not an interview call, selection guarantee or admission offer.
