The college reports a 90%+ placement rate, with recruiters like Amazon and Infosys visiting regularly. But the real story is in the details—the NAAC A+ accreditation, the NBA accreditation for its core branches, and a fee structure that's surprisingly accessible for a private institute. It's a place that seems to understand its mission: to deliver competent engineers to the market without the exorbitant price tag of some metro-based colleges.

Courses and Academic Programs at Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology

LIET offers a focused set of programs, primarily in engineering. At the undergraduate level, there are seven B.Tech streams with a total intake of 360 students. The Computer Science department is the largest, offering standard CSE, as well as specialized tracks in AI & Machine Learning, Systems Engineering, and Information Technology. The other core branches—Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), and Mechanical (MECH)—round out the offerings, all of which hold the valuable NBA accreditation.

For postgraduates, M.Tech programs are available in CSE, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical Engineering. The institute also offers doctoral programs, indicating a commitment to research alongside its teaching mission.

The academic approach has some distinctive features. There's a stated focus on "slow learners," with counseling and a student-teacher adoption program aimed at bringing everyone up to speed. They push for practical exposure through choice-based internships during vacations and provide detailed manuals for lab work. The industry tie-ups are a significant part of the academic fabric. Being an academic partner with Virtusa for a 'Center of Excellence,' and an authorized partner for Cisco and Oracle Academies, means the curriculum often gets an industry flavor. Students can also pursue global certifications from major tech players like Wipro, Pega, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, which is a decent value-add for a college at this fee level.

Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology Placements: Packages, Companies & Reality Check

This is where LIET's marketing engine runs at full throttle, and the numbers are worth scrutinizing. The official placement percentage is impressively high at 90.48%, a figure that, if accurate, puts it in contention with many more established colleges. The highest package for 2024 is reported at ₹32 LPA, a number that grabs headlines. However, the more telling metric from the NIRF 2025 report is the median package: ₹5.5 lakhs per annum. That's a solid, realistic figure for a regional private college and gives a better sense of what a typical graduate might expect.

The average package is reported around ₹4 LPA. There's a notable gap between the highest and the average, which isn't unusual—it often reflects one or two exceptional offers in high-demand fields like CSE. The recruiter list is robust and credible, featuring IT giants (Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, HCL) and a mix of engineering and consulting firms (Virtusa, GlobalLogic, Deloitte, Bosch, Brakes India). The claim of over 21,000 internships facilitated is staggering and suggests a very active training and placement cell.

The reality check? While the top-tier companies do visit, the volume of offers from each varies. Placement drives start early, in the 6th semester, which is a plus. The high placement percentage likely includes a wide net of recruiters, ensuring most students have some offer in hand. For a student in a core branch like Mechanical or EEE, the path might lead more towards the median package with core engineering firms, while CSE students have a shot at the higher-end IT roles. It's a placement record that promises opportunity, if not a guaranteed ticket to a top-tier salary for everyone.

Fees and Financial Aid at Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology

For a private, autonomous engineering college with its accreditations, LIET's fee structure is one of its most compelling features. The annual tuition fee for the first year of B.Tech in the 2025-26 academic year is approximately ₹62,300. Over four years, the total tuition cost is estimated to be around ₹2.49 lakhs. That's significantly lower than many private institutions in major cities, where fees can run into lakhs per year.

There's a mention of scholarships for meritorious students, though the specific criteria and amounts aren't detailed in the public brief. It's a point to verify directly with the institute's administration. The overall cost of attendance, when you factor in the low tuition, makes it a financially sensible option for many families in the region. The missing piece is a clear combined figure for hostel and mess fees, which would be the next major expense.

Admissions: Eligibility, Cutoffs & Selection Process

Admission to the B.Tech programs is primarily through the state engineering entrance exam, AP EAMCET. JEE Main scores are also accepted, which broadens the pool slightly. For M.Tech, the gates are AP PGECET and GATE scores.

The cutoffs give you a sense of the competition. For the 2025 admission cycle (Round 2), the AP EAMCET cutoff ranks for B.Tech at LIET ranged from 22,718 to 179,319. That's a wide band, reflecting the varying demand across branches. The more sought-after programs like CSE and its specializations will occupy the higher end of that range (closer to the 22k rank), while other branches fill up with lower ranks. The admission process is integrated into the state's centralized counseling for AP EAMCET.

Prospective students should note the timeline. For the 2026 intake, the AP EAMCET exam is scheduled for May 12-20, 2026, with the admission process expected to kick off in March 2026. Keeping an eye on the official AP EAPCET website and the LIET website for application windows is crucial.

Campus, Hostels and Student Life

LIET's campus is frequently described as modern and lush green, spread over 13-15 acres. The infrastructure appears to be a strong point. Separate hostel blocks for boys and girls are on campus, described by sources as "well-furnished," "spacious," and hygienic. The mess hall can seat 600, serving both North and South Indian cuisine with an emphasis on cleanliness. Security is 24/7.

Academically, the labs are touted as modern and well-equipped, with specific mentions of advanced labs for structural analysis and computer labs. The centralized library is air-conditioned, seats about 195, and holds over 34,000 volumes along with digital resources and journal subscriptions.

Student life seems active. There's a well-equipped gym with a trainer, and facilities for cricket, basketball, and volleyball. The canteen is sizable, seating around 200. More importantly, there's a buzz of extracurricular activity through clubs like the Photography Club, Lendi Radio Club, Cultural Club, NSS, and Rotary Club. These groups organize workshops, competitions, and cover campus events, which helps build a community beyond the classroom. A health centre with first-aid and college transport services round out the essential amenities.

Student Reviews: What Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology Alumni Really Think

Synthesizing the sentiment, the consensus on LIET is overwhelmingly positive in the areas it focuses on. The teaching faculty gets high marks for being supportive, knowledgeable, and providing individual attention. There's a sense that the professors are dedicated and encourage practical learning.

The infrastructure and hostel life are consistently praised. Words like "comfortable," "secure," and "home away from home" come up repeatedly regarding the hostels. The food and overall cleanliness are also highlighted as positives.

Placements are seen as a major strength. Students acknowledge the early start to placement drives (6th semester) and the active role of the training and placement cell in bringing in companies. The skill development focus—on both technical and soft skills—is appreciated as it directly links to employability.

Notably, the research brief did not surface recurring, significant negative complaints. This could indicate general student satisfaction, or it might reflect the curated nature of some review platforms. The absence of gripes about management behavior or administrative hassles is a good sign, but as with any college, it's wise to seek out recent graduate opinions on neutral forums for the most unvarnished view.

Verdict: Is Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology Worth It?

Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology presents a clear, compelling proposition. It's best for students from Andhra Pradesh and neighboring regions who are looking for a reputable, private engineering education without the crushing fee burden of a metro-based private university. Its strengths are unambiguous: a clean, modern campus; a supportive academic environment with good faculty; and a highly proactive placement cell that delivers solid results, especially for its cost bracket. The NBA and NAAC A+ accreditations add significant credibility.

Who should consider it? A student with an AP EAMCET rank between 25,000 and 100,000, aiming for a stable career in IT or core engineering, and for whom value-for-money is a key decision factor. The college seems to execute its core mission—producing employable graduates—very effectively.

Who might look elsewhere? If your primary goal is top-tier research exposure, a nationally recognized brand name, or a cosmopolitan urban campus life, larger state universities or premier national institutes might be a better fit. But for what it sets out to do, LIET appears to deliver reliably. It's a pragmatic choice that makes a lot of sense for a large segment of engineering aspirants.
