Search 9,230 official opening and closing-rank rows across 103 mapped NIT, IIIT and GFTI institutes. Every result preserves the exact branch, quota, seat type, gender pool and rank basis published by JoSAA. Select a row's round history to compare its closing ranks across Rounds 1 to 5.
Rank search finds the nearest published closing ranks on either side of your rank. Use the college predictor for a personal shortlist and verify eligibility in the official rules.
Enter a rank, not marks or percentile. For OPEN seats, use CRL; for reserved seats, use the matching category rank; for PwD seats, use the matching PwD rank. A rank search defaults to OPEN when no seat type is chosen. Only have a percentile? Read the percentile-to-CRL guide →
JoSAA cutoffs around popular JEE Main ranks
Use these as fast entry points into the final-round table. OPEN rows use CRL; reserved and PwD rows use their named rank lists.
Compare the same JoSAA 2026 seat profile across five completed rounds. A larger closing-rank number is further down that rank list, not a higher admission probability or a recommendation to wait for a later round.

Source: JoSAA 2026. The main table is Paper 1 and Round 5 only; selected-profile histories cover Rounds 1-5. CSAB, Paper 2A and Paper 2B are excluded from this JoSAA table. 8 unresolved NIT+ institute identities are excluded rather than guessed.
JEE Main qualifying cutoff vs college admission cutoff
These answer different questions. Neither a qualifying percentile nor one college's past closing rank is a universal admission requirement.
Can I be considered for JEE Advanced?
Compare your Paper 1 Total NTA percentile with the official qualifying threshold for your category and exam year. This is one part of JEE Advanced eligibility, alongside its other conditions. The 2026 NTA result notice reports these percentile thresholds separately from college allotments.
Use the rank list named by the admission row. Compare the same programme, quota, seat type, gender pool, year and round. JoSAA OPEN rows use CRL; OBC-NCL, GEN-EWS, SC and ST rows use their respective category ranks. PwD rows use the corresponding PwD rank list.
Keep Class XII marks and top-20-percentile requirements separate from the JEE Main NTA percentile. Check the admission eligibility guide and current authority rules before acting on a shortlist. For 2027 planning, the 2026 rows on this page remain historical comparisons, not 2027 cutoff forecasts.
CSAB Special 2026 cutoffs: use CRL, not category rank
CSAB Special cutoffs record opening and closing ranks for fresh and upgraded allottees in a specific institute, programme, quota, seat type and gender pool. The official table uses All India CRL for every seat type, including OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST and PwD. JoSAA's category-rank comparison does not carry over.
This separate Paper 1 reference contains 11,499 profiles across 111 institutes and 183 programme labels: 7,026 in Special Round 1 and 4,473 in Special Round 2. DASA and Paper 2A/2B records are excluded. The JoSAA search controls above do not filter these examples.
Three same-profile comparisons

Data coverage and rank precision
263 profiles retain scientific-notation ranks with unverified precision; their exact-rank fields are blank, not zero. 29 profiles retain multiple programme-code candidates. Missing profiles do not mean zero admissions: this source covers fresh/upgraded allottees, not every seat holder. The three examples above use exact displayed integers; the download methodology records their selection rule and source-row references.
A college has many cutoffs. Programme, quota, seat type and gender pool must all match before two ranks are comparable.
State code matters
HS and OS depend on JoSAA's Class XII state code of eligibility and special institute pools, not simply residential domicile.
Closing rank
The last allotted rank for the selected programme and seat profile. Meeting a past cutoff does not guarantee admission: current eligibility, seats, choice order and document verification still matter.
Turn a cutoff lookup into a personal shortlist
The college predictor applies your selected JoSAA seat-type lane, official matching rank, gender and Class XII state code, then returns named college and branch matches.
Is the JEE Main qualifying cutoff the same as an NIT admission cutoff?
No. NTA's qualifying cutoff is a category-wise Paper 1 NTA percentile threshold for JEE Advanced consideration; other JEE Advanced eligibility conditions also apply. An NIT, IIIT or GFTI admission cutoff is an opening or closing rank for an exact college, programme, quota, seat type, gender pool and round. Clearing the qualifying percentile does not guarantee a college seat.
Which JEE Main rank should I compare with a JoSAA cutoff?
Use the rank list named by the row. OPEN rows use CRL; GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST rows use the matching category rank; PwD rows use the matching PwD rank list. A reserved candidate can check more than one eligible lane, but must not use one rank for every lane.
Are these predicted or official cutoff ranks?
The main table contains official JoSAA 2026 Round 5 opening and closing ranks. Select Round history for the same seat profile's published closing ranks across Rounds 1 to 5. Admission Guardian preserves the published institute, programme, quota, seat type, gender-pool and rank dimensions; missing observations are not filled from another round.
Does this page include CSAB, B.Arch or B.Planning cutoffs?
The searchable table covers JoSAA 2026 Round 5 NIT+ programmes using JEE Main Paper 1 ranks, including engineering, integrated science and design programmes, with selected-profile histories for Rounds 1 to 5. A separate CSAB section provides fixed Special-round CRL examples and a Paper 1 download; the JoSAA filters do not apply to it. DASA and Paper 2A/2B programmes are excluded from the CSAB reference. The college predictor still uses JoSAA, not CSAB.
What does a closing rank mean?
The closing rank is the last allotted rank recorded for that exact institute-programme, quota, seat type and gender pool in the selected JoSAA round. It is not one universal cutoff for the whole college.
Does a JoSAA closing rank always increase in later rounds?
No. Exact profiles can have larger, unchanged or smaller closing-rank numbers in later rounds. Compare the same programme, quota, seat type, gender pool and rank list; do not add an overall study's median movement to one college option or treat past movement as a recommendation to wait.
