VITEEE 2027 exam dates
VIT’s official admissions page currently lists the online application issue date as 20 October 2026 and the last date to apply as 31 March 2027. It shows the VITEEE 2027 test window as 27 April to 2 May 2027, explicitly marked tentative. Admit-card download is tentatively listed for 25-30 April. Result declaration and online counselling are tentatively shown as beginning in the second week of May 2027. These are the dates published on the page as of 27 October 2026. Check the live VITEEE portal for a revised notice, because the examination, admit-card, result and counselling timings are not all final.
The test page says the number of examination days may vary by test city. That means the overall window does not tell an individual candidate their exact date, session or reporting time. The assigned details should come from the candidate’s admit card and official portal. Do not book non-refundable travel based only on the broad tentative window if your assigned centre and slot are not yet confirmed.
Plan backwards from the application deadline
Start by checking the 2027 eligibility rules: passing year, board, study mode, English subject, MPCEA or BPCEA choice, subject aggregate and required certificates. The application fee is non-refundable, and a missing document or inaccurate entry can cause avoidable difficulty. Prepare the Class X information, Class XII details, board code, correspondence-address proof, photograph and handwritten signature in the format VIT currently specifies. Enter an email and mobile number you can access throughout the process.
Submit before the deadline rather than waiting for the final day. Leave time to resolve payment or document upload problems and to download the completed form. The portal says applicants need not send a hard copy to VIT, but they should retain the application for reference. Keep checking the registered email and official website for changes. The published deadline is still subject to an official extension or correction if VIT announces one.
What the tentative examination window does and does not mean
VIT currently plans VITEEE as a computer-based test between 27 April and 2 May 2027, tentatively. The page says the duration is two hours. It does not provide one universal appointment time for every candidate, and sessions or city scheduling may vary. Wait for the issued admit card to confirm the test centre, date, session and reporting time. The admit-card download window itself is also shown as tentative and overlaps with the test window, so candidates should monitor their logins and notices rather than infer that a card will arrive weeks earlier.
VIT’s dates are for the 2027-28 admission cycle. The completed 2026 schedule is historical and should not be used to plan the upcoming exam. Dates copied from coaching sites may refer to a past cycle or to a proposed schedule. When there is a conflict, use the current official VIT notice and keep a record of its date or version.
Result and counselling sequence
VIT tentatively expects results in the second week of May and online counselling to start from the second week of May. The page does not provide a confirmed day-by-day calendar for result access, rank release, counselling phases, preference entry, allotment and fee payment. Those operational dates should be taken from the official candidate portal after VIT publishes them.
After the result, eligible candidates can participate in rank-based online counselling. VIT says candidates may enter campus, programme and fee-category options, and that allotment depends on rank and available choices. Do not interpret the tentative counselling start week as a guarantee that every candidate’s preference stage or payment deadline will fall in that same week. Read each round’s live instructions carefully and keep access to your application login.
Keeping your calendar current
Use the schedule above as a planning snapshot, not as a substitute for official updates. Check the application portal periodically, especially before the March deadline, during the expected admit-card period, and after the examination. Verify that your registered email and phone are current and monitored. Once the admit card appears, save it and use its assigned slot to plan travel. After the exam, check the official result and counselling portal for rank, eligibility confirmation, choices, allotment and payment instructions.
As of 27 October 2026, the 2027 application is open. The test dates, card window, result timing and counselling start are expressly tentative. VIT may change dates to reflect operational needs; applicants should avoid relying on a third-party calendar as final. A missed deadline or counselling instruction can affect the application even when a candidate is academically eligible, so use official notices as the final source for each action.
