VITEEE 2027 application: key facts
VITEEE 2027 applications opened on 20 October 2026 for B.Tech admissions in the 2027-28 academic year. The official portal currently lists 31 March 2027 as the application deadline. This is the date published as of 27 October 2026; check the live VITEEE portal for any later extension or correction before submitting. VIT states that the application fee is ₹1,450 for Indian test centres and non-refundable. For test centres abroad, the page lists the equivalent of USD 90 in Indian rupees. The portal also describes the subsequent counselling fee as non-refundable. These charges are not tuition fees.
Before you start
Use your own active mobile number and email address. VIT says application communications go to the registered contacts, and an OTP is sent to the registered mobile for verification; for NRI applicants, OTP is communicated by email. After validating the OTP, the password is sent to the registered email address. Keep access to both accounts through the examination, result and counselling stages. Do not use a coaching-centre or service-centre phone number that you cannot access later.
The name should match the Class X mark sheet, which the application process asks applicants to use for their name and Class X information. Keep the Class X marksheet, Class XII or equivalent details, board code, subject information, address proof and a valid identity document ready. Applicants choosing a category or regional eligibility exception should also plan to provide the required certificate at counselling. Candidates with international qualifications should consult the prospectus requirements and have equivalence documentation ready where applicable.
Application steps shown by VIT
- Register. Enter your name as on the Class X marksheet, date of birth, requested identity details, mobile number and email. Complete verification and keep the password sent to your email.
- Log in and read the declaration. Use the registered credentials and read the declarations before completing the form. VIT warns that discrepancies between application data and supporting documents may result in cancellation without a fee refund.
- Enter personal and address details. The portal asks for community, EWS, parent or guardian, and correspondence-address information. VIT says the test city is allotted based on the correspondence address, so enter it accurately and upload valid proof.
- Enter educational details. Provide mode of study, board details, medium, passing year, school information and subject preference, MPCEA or BPCEA. Select the board code from the 2027 prospectus annexure. Check that the chosen paper matches your Class XII subjects and the programmes you may seek.
- Enter Class X information. Provide name, register or roll number and passing year as shown on the marksheet, then upload the original Class X marksheet as instructed.
- Pay the application charge. The published amount is ₹1,450 for Indian centres, payable by the listed online methods. The page states the application fee is non-refundable. For an overseas test centre, review the portal’s USD 90 equivalent instruction.
- Complete photograph and signature requirements. The site specifies live photo capture through the device camera. It gives guidance on a plain background, lighting and framing. For the signature, it instructs applicants to sign by hand in a 6 cm × 2 cm rectangle on white A4 paper, then crop the signed area to 3.5 cm × 1.5 cm in JPG/JPEG format, between 20 KB and 300 KB. Follow the current upload screen if it changes or provides a more specific instruction.
- Upload address or identity proof. The portal lists acceptable proofs including Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, driving licence, ration or family card showing the candidate and address, government-issued residence certificate, scheduled-bank passbook or statement, post-office passbook or statement, or school ID with photo and correspondence address. Upload a legible document that supports the address entered.
- Download the completed application. Save the filled form for reference and future communication. VIT says applicants need not send a hard copy of the completed application form.
Avoid preventable errors
The most consequential errors are often inconsistent personal data, a wrong board code, a mismatch between the chosen paper and subject record, and an address that cannot be documented. Review the preview before final submission. Make sure a board’s official name and code correspond to the exam you actually sat or will sit, and use one academic-year result as required by the eligibility rules. If you are uncertain whether your board, qualification or subject combination qualifies, consult the prospectus rather than selecting the closest-sounding option.
Use an email address and mobile number that will remain available until admission is complete. Save the application number, payment confirmation and downloaded form securely. If money is debited but the portal does not confirm payment, VIT’s FAQ says to wait on the same login page for an hour. If duplicate payment occurs for the same application, the page says the excess amount is refunded within five to seven working days. For unresolved problems, use the logged-in Need Help facility described by VIT instead of paying again through an unverified link.
What follows the application
The portal currently lists the exam tentatively from 27 April to 2 May 2027 and admit-card download tentatively from 25 to 30 April. Dates may be revised. Keep checking VIT’s official site and registered email and mobile for notices. After the exam and rank declaration, candidates who are eligible may participate in online counselling. The 2027 site says rank, available options and eligibility determine allotment; counselling participation does not guarantee a seat. The candidate later enters campus, programme and fee-category preferences under the applicable instructions.
VIT’s official page warns against fraudulent calls, messages and agents claiming direct admission. Application and admission should be completed only through VIT’s official portal and channels. Do not share passwords or OTPs. If a page linked from an unofficial source asks for payment or personal credentials, navigate to the official admissions site yourself and verify the destination before continuing.
A compact submission checklist
Before you submit, confirm: the name and date of birth match official records; the application year is VITEEE 2027; your board code and passing year are accurate; MPCEA or BPCEA matches your subjects and intended programme options; the correspondence address has valid proof; the photograph and handwritten signature meet upload rules; the fee amount and non-refundable condition are understood; and you have downloaded the application form and saved payment details. Check the live portal for changes to the March deadline, exam schedule or upload instructions. This checklist helps prevent avoidable errors, but the current prospectus and the portal’s own directions remain authoritative for each applicant.
