The latest official ranking captured for Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune is its 2025 placement in the 201–300 band of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Engineering category. Keep publisher, category and year attached
These figures should not be collapsed into one league table. NIRF is an official ministry framework with its own category and band format. India Today, The Week and Dataquest use separate surveys and publication cycles. A rank of 54 from one publisher is not directly comparable to an Engineering band from another. Movement between editions cannot be called improvement unless the publisher, category and method are comparable. What applicants can infer
The NIRF result confirms that AIT appears in the 2025 Engineering category band. It does not establish branch-level teaching quality, a student’s likelihood of admission, or a placement outcome. For a useful comparison, match the institution, campus, category and publication year first. Then check whether the publisher reports an exact rank or a band, and read its methodology. Use programme-specific accreditation and current course and admission information for questions a college-wide ranking cannot answer. AIT’s specialised Armed Forces-ward eligibility and the five four-year B.Tech branches listed in its 2025–26 prospectus are relevant to deciding whether it is an option; the ranking does not replace checking those conditions.
Before relying on a number, open the original edition and record its release year, category name, result and whether it is a band, national rank or regional position.
